Every song is wonderful. But the 8 minute finale, still after all these years, gives me chills. And remembering the movie still makes me smile.

This album was introduced to me in college. My roommate played it non-stop my freshman year. Needless to say I know the words to every song. I don't know what else to say except I love it. I don't think I have ever heard a bad song from Barbra!
I will NEVER forget this movie. I remember the first time seeing it and it has stuck with me 33 years now!! I'm buying this right now for my new iPod Nano and hopefully will find the movie as well.
This movie provided the soundtrack for my freshman year in college. The poster hung on my wall and is now framed in my media room. I have it as an album, 8-track, cassette, CD, and now on iTunes. Might be a bit ridiculous, but no matter what format it is in, it instantly takes me back to a wonderful time in my life. I saw Kris Kristofferson in concert a few years ago, and had the chance to shake his hand. I couldn’t help myself, and I said, “Thank-you, John Norman Howard”. He grinned and I checked off an item on my bucket list….now, if I could do the same with Esther Hoffman Howard….
Man, just that romatic cover in itself would make you want to buy this! Not all the songs are quite my style, but i did purchase Lost Inside Of You. The words are superb. Kris is great on the number as well as Barbra. It's a far cry from some whiny love songs, this actually has DEPTH. There's no better or more honest, pure way to describe a true love. All in all, i'm sure most would find it an excellent collection.
In 1976, when I was 13, this movie came out I wanted to see it but I could not go because it was rated "R". In 1978 just before my 15th birthday I watched it on Showtime. As she sang the song "Woman In The Moon" I became a fan for life. I am now 51 and love her voice as much as I did all those years ago. All the songs are some of the finest songs ever written. For those of you who were not around yet or to young to remember this soundtrack went to #1 on the "Billboard 200" for six weeks. It also garnered Streisand's "Evergreen" with a #1 single on the "Billboard Hot 100". Streisand wrote the music and Paul Williams wrote the lyrics earning them the Academy award for "Best Original Song". Buy this soundtrack well worth the price. If you watch the movie keep in mind that she filmed everything live in concert. It was not done on a set. That last song in the movie that she sings she did in one take. Amazing. One of the finest singers to come out of the 20th century.
One of my all-time favorite albums.. Kristofferson's rough,raspy voice is the perfect counterpoint to the crystal clear tones of Streisand!!
This is real, and realized, and specific... and thought out- Two musicsl artists that a film was built around making it a piece of art from the ground up. The newest- is a reductive version of this. This is the improved upon version right here- the standard- a beautiful work of art in my opinion- a work of art with dynamics, and believabilty whether you like it or not. The quality is something undeniable. The album cover alone... come on... sexy... The latest... uh... A-sexual.
My sister and cousin played this album over and over and over. They both thought they were Barbara. Love the music and the movie.
My pick if I had to pick one, would be queen bee. From there its Track; 1, 5, 7, 10, and the rest is so so... I like it and I give it a 5 star. (cuz i have to regift it for my mother when she misplaces the cd or what ever.) I was almost named Kris. lol Love you mom.
An excellent album!! This takes me back to the 70's. Streisand is brilliant.
I was 26 and the mother of 3 kids under 5 when this came out! Went to the show 3 times in a week! Could NOT get enough of this movie and songs! Memories!
Great music from the movie & Barbara!
This is the record (and movie) that made me into a hardcore SoCal soft rawk fan and sealed my allegiance to La Streisand. A stone cold classic, wrapped in golden gossamer. One of my top five records/films. Kristofferson was never more beautiful, and Barbra is at her frizzy wittiest. Brittle screenplay trampled on in the edit and written by Didion and Dunne.
C'mon Folks!! Get this one released for the iPod. I absolutely Love this Movie and want it on my IPod for when I go for my surgery. You can't miss out on this one!! Please get this one for All the "Babs" Fans out here!! Not to mention... Kris plays a Great Rocker. This is one Movie that will really move you. I saw this movie again this week - the last time I saw it, I was probably 16 (the year it came out)-I think I had the soundtrack on an 8-track tape. As I heard the songs on the movie, I remembered every word! What a crazy feeling of deja-vu! Beautiful movie, great actors, fabulous soundtrack! A true classic~
I can't believe I remember all the words. I use to think I sounded just like her. I was 12 and had no idea I couldn't hold a tune. But boy did I sing really loud. Still do, just with the windows up all the way.
I watched this movie 21 times in 1975! I just loved it. Kris and Barbara had great chemistry and for a teenager that was awesome. I guess I am telling my age! Oh well. I enjoyed the album on LP and bought the movie on VHS. I have not found it on DVD yet. But at least I now have the music on my ipod!! I think my over all favorite on this soundtrack is "With One More Look At You", This particular song is very moving especially if you have watched the movie. I enjoyed the beat of "Queen Bee" Barbara is fantastic! "Hellacious Acres" sung by Kris is excellent! The entire sound track is terrific, there is not a song that I don't like. I like them all. This is definitely a winner! Thanks to iTunes I am a happy customer!
This album brings back memories of when music was still music. Very entertaining, and of course Barbara sings her heart out.
What great songs....not your typical Babs, but great just the same!
Boy does this music take me back to the "good ol days". I thought Kris Kristofferson was so hot and I just swooned when he held Barbara Streisand in his arms. I remember getting together as teenage girls and everyone had to take a turn at singing evergreen. I could never hit those high notes!! What a great classic from the 70's. I love it!!!!
I LOVE this movie and all of the songs ! Every time I see the movie I cry as if it was the first time watching. I had the album in the 70's.. listened to it constantly and sang every song... still do. Looking forward to seeing the 2018 version of A Star is Born with Lady Gaga. This music & songs are always in my heart.
I absolutely love this movie and I'm so glad iTunes has the soundtrack! The only complaint I have is the fact that the finale (with one more look at you/watch closely now) is album only and I cannot afford the whole album, only a few songs. I'm going to have to wait to get it, but I can enjoy my other favorite, Evergreen. This is one of my favorite movies. I love Babs and her and Kristofferson's chemistry is perfect. I can't wait to buy the whole album.
To start, it would have been imossible to watch this movie ONCE in 1975, let alone 21 seeing as how it wasn't released until 1976, but no big deal. Kris Kristofferson is so under rated. A brilliant songwriter and an extraordinary vocalist. Streisand became even bigger with the songs on this album but Kris, in my opinion, steals the show. Listen to Crippled Crow and try not to cry, I dare you. Ane he rocked it out on this album as well.

I went to see this movie back in the day because I've always been a Kristofferson fan, not so much a Babs fan. It was great to see them both step out of their usual personnas to play these two roles. I remember the music and particularly the movie being panned at the time but the critics were dead wrong. If you haven't seen the movie, you need to. Buy the soundtrack here, it's worth it.
I LOVE that song. We actually had it sung at our wedding. It's beautiful. Loved the movie. Saw it 3 times at the movie theater.
