- Me

Holly cow!!! Came across one of their videos by complete accident. Lucky me. Awesome stuff.

- Nice

I only like the requiem for tower

- Modern Classical the way it should be

First time I heard of this band was on Pandora. It played "Requiem for a Tower" by Escala, and I became enamored. Doing a little research led me to iTunes, and I read the reviews for Escala. Most people on here compare them to the band Bond, and I can see why. But I think that's an inadequate comparison, due to Bond being more Dance, and Escala being more Classical Escala should be along the lines of David Garrett, whom I also recommend looking into if you're into Modern Classical.

- Hm...

I really like how this group sounds, but I'm really quite surprised they featured "Clubbed to Death" without mentioning Rob Dougan's name. :/

- Dis ist gut

Ja real gut

- love it!!!!!!!!!!

they should have anonther album!!! i really really want more songs!!!

- Edgy classical

Words cannot express how phenomenal this album is. A delicious twist on your regular classical repertoire. Love it! Can't wait for the next one.

- awesome!

escala rocks!!!!!! just buy every song. you'll b happy!!!

- Amazing

Incredible. Words can't describe, finally talent put to good use.

- Love!

Same as the last reviewer... I heard Requiem for a Tower on Pandora and got up and ran to who the artist was! Came right to iTunes to update my playlist. Great modern classical! I love it!

- Good stuff.

Solid. Well worth the ten bucks.

- Love it!!

Ok so I absolutely love every song on this album!!! Listen to it ALL the time :D

- Allegretto Vs. Palladio

I like both versions, Allegretto (by Bond) and Palladio (by Escalla). Allegretto is upbeat. Palladio is slower.

- Best recording of Kashmir and great music for all generations.

Kashmir has more depth than the originial. This group's remakes are well done and thoroughly enjoyed hearing them at a wedding this month.

- Amazing!!!<3

These are the most amazing strings players! I love how they don't just do classical pieces. There are only two words to describe it: TRULY AMAZING!!!!!!!!!<3

- Great musicians and smokin' hot to boot

That pretty much says it all.

- Love it

Love this album ! My favorite song! Love the beat.

- Simply Awesome!!!!

I love this album!

- Buying songs

Bought a song and it wasn’t even the song I picked

- Worth ever cent!

Jesus CHRIST! Came across Escala by chance on Pandora, Requiem for a Tower came on...INSTANT PURCHASE ON iTUNES!

- Requiem

Absolutely Beautiful!!!!!!!!!

- Wow

Realy great album like a lot of the songs!

- AWSOME

I love this band. AMAZING.

- Nice band.

Just great.

- Love Kashmir!

I saw these woman live and they were amazing. Awesome rendition of Kashmir!

- Awesome Orchestral Cover Songs! Featuring SLASH on Led Zep

This record is worth the price just for Escala's orchestral version of "KASHMIR" by Led Zeppelin (featuring SLASH on electric guitar)! Throw in "Requiem for a Tower", "Palladio" (the Diamond commercial song), and you have a stellar album!

- Great piece!!

I bought the album and I listen to it everyday! Please make more!!!

- A.maze.ing!!!!!!!!!!

I love you Escala!!!😍😍😍

- A-MAZING.

Requiem for a tower and Palladio are my favorites!!! Buy them!!! Buy them now!!(:

- Escala

Love it

- 

Requiem for a Tower is freaking amazing

- Not the original...

If you are looking for classical crossover in the form of a string quartet, look back to Bond, the first to synthesize the classcial classics. They do it best and have more albums. Look also at Vanessa-Mae. But Escala seems more like a copycat than revolutionary artists.

- Did they copy...

Is it me or do "Palladio" and " requiem for a tower" sound strangely familiar to the song "Lux Aeterna"by Clint Mansell on the "Requiem for a Dream" score...was that intentional??? I mean i didn't you could "cover" a song and then just rename it like that... Thats pretty fishy...

- B's G.T. Hopefuls Still Succeed

It's a fun mix of classics, performed in a way that engages anyone in its ebbs and flows. It's refreshing because it's not traditionally portrayed.

- Great

I love Palladio its a great song

- Okay

Some of the songs were ok, my favorite is Palladio. They are an amazing group, wish they could have composed their own music though... They are good!

- Love the entire album!

I cannot stop listening to this entire album. Even the ones I thought I might not like that much are amazing. Such talent! This group really knows how to pull at the heart strings.

- Escala

It's ok, but Bond is the best!!!

- BEAUTIFUL in Sound, Style, & LOOKS!

Saw them on BGT and absolutely fell in love with them. So much talet at such a young age. Listening to this album relaxes me on the way home in traffic.

- awesomeness still comes up short

This music is awesome. I am looking forward to seeing them live on stage. Their next work is an absolute must have. Thank you for this.

- Clarification

Personally, I prefer Escala’s style and renditions better than Bond. Also want to correct one other reviewer. Palladio is based on the concerto written by Welsh conductor/ composer Karl Jenkins. Allegretto is the first movement of that piece. Escala does a great job with it. Sephira, also a female violin team do a very good rendition as well. Many songs get covered by multiple artists. I’m more interested in what they do with it. It takes nothing away from each artist. I’m extremely happy the violin is making a comeback and I love the classical crossover genre.

- Immediately fell in love!

I rarely fall in love w/ a group as fast as I did after discovering them this morning.

- great band!!!!!!!

they are great to listen too. I will tell anyone to buy this album keep up the great job.

- Percussion and string go together well

Escalata combines rock and classical music to make less boring classical music but rock that isn't so lifeless. They do it perfectly!!👏🏼👏🏼💯💯

- Escala is awesome

This is the best song everrrrrrrr

- Formidable

Simply breathtaking

- Luv it...so powerful

Luv all the string mixing with electric sound.

- <3

Love it

- This is awesome

This music is very interesting. This is a very talented group. I play the violin and I think violin players should play like this group.

- The Simple Truth Is....

Escala is the best because it seems that they manage to perfect every song they perform. Unlike BOND who seem to forget the power of their string instruments and allow them to be overpowered by pop instrumentals, Escala has an amazing sense of balance that allows them to have their songs sound modern while still retaining its powerful classical sound. Escala deserves the attention they get because their version of their favorite songs are in truth, the best version of many of their favorite songs. The music they make is nothing short of epic. I could care less if this group of four are merely performing other's songs, what I care about is that they are making these songs better than ever. I doubt I'm alone in my desire to see their second album.

- Great album!

I love the sound of electric violins!!! I love that these women are remaking songs with this instrument. I love it!!!!

- Not classical!

Classical is not singing pop ballads from the 80s in spanish or playing them on the violin. While this group is good, they are not classical music. Don't be mistaken.

- classical worth listening

I have been waiting for this album to come out for a year! It is amazing. It is worth listening to. It will make young listeners want to listen to classical music. Bravo!!!

- Great music but ...

Great music, I think Escala is fantastic, though I find they are copying the image of a similar group called Bond. Bond have been around for a long time and also combine classical with modern music.

- Escala... Extraordinaire!!!

Simply Brilliant!! These women are great to watch and perfect to listen too.

- AWESOME!!

I do not like classical music at all but when i saw these girls on oprah i had to get more music from them they aren't classical they are the NEW CLASSICAL

- Beautiful Music

I am not generally a fan of classical music but Escala brings something new and fresh to these pieces. Definitely worth listening to. Very powerful! I look forward to future releases!

- Worth a listen

These girls are awsome and although they did not win Britains Got Talent, Simon Cowell did not waste any time in signing them! Also there has been talk of a collaberation with Slash. Will be interesting to see what comes out of that. Worth a listen even if you do not like classiacal music!

- Pure Class

Excellent, just what i've been looking for :) Top album

- Amazing!

I am so happy with this album. The music is just heavenly and its one that everyone can enjoy. You don't have to be a huge classical music fan to love Escala! It's great to listen to when you want to relax in the bath or when you're doing stuff around the house.

- Not Classical, plain dreadful

First of all I fail to see while this is under the classical music section, they hardly play any classical music and when they do play it they murder it by adding dreadful drum & bass, changing the rhythm to suit this and adding dreadful echo effects that don't need to be there. The music is supposed to be able to speak for itself, and has the capacity to summon emotions without added echo - please move this to a different section iTunes. Secondly, the only good thing about this band and this style of music, is that it makes a great soundtrack for most adverts. As already said, you either like Classical music or you don't, fusion is in no way an adequate substitute. This band is tremendously talented in ruining any style of song, including any of the pop songs on this adding unnecessary string parts that weren't in the originals and don't need to be there at all. In short dreadful, avoid if you have any taste in music and BRING US A PROPER CLASSICAL MUSIC CHART ITUNES!!!!

- Great

Been looking for this for ages bringing old music to the younger generation

- Do not give into the sirens!!

What is the point of listening to these covers. It is far better to listen to the original. Don't buy this! Get something worthwhile with your hard earned money.

- Wonderful

This album is brilliant! I've had it on repeat for 2 days now.. and still not bored of it. Uplifting and enjoyable

- GOOD!!!!

I've never liked classical music until I heard this. Simply amazing.

- Electro meets classical

Fantastic album. Love the way the electric violins bring a different spin on classical music.

- Amazing

I could rate this 6 star, now I love classical music but they should of won britains got talent. Utter superb!!!!!!

- Great

Escala are great to look at and to listen to. Fine musicians!!

- World Class

These women are true artists, I was absolutely gutted when they didn`t win but i agree with the other fans it`s been too long in coming but worth the wait. I am looking forward to buying the music videos if they get any out, fingers crossed. These ladies are world class in talent and pure beauty, the performance on BGT was exceptional and would love to see them again.

- Five Stars *****

These girls are AMAZING. They are lovely people and fantastic musicians, this album is fantastic. Go girls!

- Escala

Love this album, they're music is brilliant

- TheGirlWhoWasLookingForFloorMusicForHerGymnastics

this WHOLE entire album is brilliant although many songs are retakes of old classics for example children and clubbed to death they retake it brilliantly a fresh young version of bond ( check them out too there good aswell )byeeeeee oh i almost forget buy the album

- Loved it

Fresh and exciting, really enjoyed the emotion conveyed throughout the album. Hope they go on to make more brilliant music :)

- ESCALA! :)

ESCALA are fantastic this Album truly is amazing in every way possible the tracks selected are breath taking and girls have clearly worked hard on this Album. I don't understand how people can rubbish this work maybe they should have a go? 5 Stars Girls and well done! :)

- this blow my mind!!!

this is my first review too, and can i just say these girls are class, i like my music but the way they play kashmir and clubbed to death, took my breath away, i would highly recommand this to any music love 7 outa 5 for me

- Terrible

Two words - Simon Cowell

- Escala

Very disappointing - far to short and very average.

- Amazing! Can't wait for the second album

Bloody good album! Well done.

- They ruined good songs.

This is not classical, This is whiny noises.

- Escala;

A must have!!!! Can anyone recomend any other popular clasical music???

- Highly recommended

Great debut album - was expecting a repeat of BOND stuff but instead was treated to a great selection of "current" classical music. Includes some background music constantly heard on BGT.

- Wow

I don't usually like classical too much but this is surprising listenable considering it's only violins.

- to commercial, but good

may i just say to those poeple who have commented on escalas talent that one of them is in fact Guy Johnstons (an AMAZING cellist) sister (I think shes the 2nd violin)! I just think the problem is that the stuff they play is too commercial and Simon Cowell may just be using them to play their music in his shows for free. I would still suggest it to anyone though!

- As good as it gets

I really enjoyed this collection, and I just can't help playing it over and over again.

- Simply the best

What a superb album! Brill, fab, classy, sexy..well you get the picture!! A must for your iPod collection!

- WHAT A DRAMATIC ALBUM

THIS HAS BEEN MORE THAN WORTH THE WAIT. YES THEY SHOULD HAVE WON, BUT THE WHOLE COUNTRY KNEW WHAT THIS GROUP OF GIRLS HAD. Vibrant, sassy, sexy, melodic this album is this seasons must have....................!!!!

- excellent

very very good album, dont normally like classical but this album is out of this world

- Another great find from BGT

Escala were fantastic on the show last year and this album is equally as impressive. The mix of music from classical to modern is great for any listener of any age. It's relaxing and uplifting all in one album. Love it!! Carn't wait for album number 2!!!!

- Superb

Love it. I love a genre which I just invented: modern classical meld. :) Superb sound, superb composition, expertly played. Well worth it.

- Yawn

Man this is boring, these girls have done for electric violins (plus cello) what Richard Clayderman did for the piano - elevator music, dull, predictable, lacking imagination or anything new. Wish I hadn't bought this! If you want to hear what a truly cutting edge violinist can do - listen to Ed Alleyne-Johnson, he deserves 10 times the recognition Escala has (though I guess being easy on the eye is all that counts these days).

- great music but,

why is this so much more expensive than the US iTunes? not exactly as if you have to re-encode the files?

- Not great

Escala seem to be more concerned with looking and sounding good looking than delivering a heartfelt performance capable of affecting an audience. I would recommend Andrea Bocelli to newcomers to this genre, much better than this

- What a wonderful album

I agree with those who said Escala should have won Britain's Got Talent! This album is nothing short of perfect and just what you need if you want to listen to music without having to listen to vocals. Already looking forward to hearing more from these outstanding talented ladies.

- No thanks

This is NOT classical music. The girls have talent & here it is wasted.

- pure class!

Brilliant, these girls really know their stuff. Classical but not as we know it. I hope that there is a second album on the way.

- Pretty Good

For their 1st album it was good, although I did feel a bit cheated as it was rather short, I felt a couple more tracks could have been included. In addition unlike others I don't like Slash, (to me it jars) so I always jump that track making the album even shorter. However that said I would buy their next album as the group sounds and looks great!

- Wonderful

Great album, good for classical lovers and pop lovers alike. A good crossover. x

- Excellent

Love it, very relaxing, strongly recommend this to anyone....

- Escala

the album is absolutely fantastic! i love these girls so much, i hope they do stay around in the industry for a long time and hopefully they tour, it would be a treat to see these four stunnin and talented girls perform live for a crowd! i would certainly appreciate it

- Feat. Slash

I liked the cover of kashmir because I liked the original and because slash is awesome. Therefore the 5 stars is for the song not the album

- Amazing album!

It's taken so many amazing songs and turned them into a new even better song.

- Excellent

From a sound Engineer’s Point of view, I use Live and Let Die as a system test track but to be honest i could use any one as it’s an extremely well mastered album. Great range of frequencies in every track.

- It's a must have

This is one of the best albums on the market. Fantastic arrangements played superbly

- Alright....

As far as they go, its almost a carbon copy of Bond....who having gone through 3 albums without getting old, i would say that they are a better bet. I admit the Kashmir featuring Slash was better than Bonds own version, but they are still lacking in other regards.

- Spine tinglingly GOOD!

Classical music for the masses which is entertaining, energising and makes the hairs on the back of your neck stand to attention. I love it. They've never proclaimed to be the most accomplished classical artists in existence so all you 15 year old violinists and classical purists giving them a hard time back off. They are entertainers out to make an honest buck and if that means playing with authority and drama (yes that includes "hair swooshing") then I say GO FOR IT! Best of luck girls. I'm proud to have you backing good old Blighty in the international music arena and I am enjoying your album immensely. I hope you become very rich and famous and make many more!

- Album review

An excellent album, although I have to admit that the visual effect combined with the music is better than just the music!!

- awesome. just awesome.

whether you love or hate instrumental music, this album is for you. it's just amazing. not completely classical, not completely jazz, not any particular kind of music, its a mixture of everything and i never tire of listening to it. there are sinister songs, happy songs, angry/powerful songs... <3 escala are brilliant

- WOW

This album is fantastic and has a great timeless feel to it. Go Escala.
