- Album review?

Who in the hell wrote the main album review? Talk about biased. Good singles from this album so far.

- Every Song is a Work of Art

I found Whiskey Myers recently and can't stop listening. Southern rock at its finest.

- JTSMostly

I just got turned on to this (better late than never!). It is a good grungy, hippyish contry groove train. Love it!

- Refreshingly authentic

This album is a seldom-seen commentary on a way of life that many of us are proud to lead. I believe that the official iTunes review is maliciously off-base and false. These five artists are gifted musicians and songwriters in every sense of the word, not just cheap hacks. iTunes is not the place for vicious and offensive political attacks.

- A Very Good Album

This group delivers a sound that is easy to like very quickly. I'm shocked at the iTunes review. As the lyrics say "I guess that's something you just can't understand". Turned my wife on to these guys and she's into them now as well. They have a style like Cross Canadian Ragweed. Good stuff!

- Who writes the itunes reviews?

seriously. great album though.

- Aweosme! Not Country!

This album is amazing! This is not country its southern rock!!!!!!

- Good stuff

Good stuff

- Good music

Every song is great whether its the electric guitar like different mold, turn it up,or bar guitar and honkey tonk crowd or slower songs like Virginia and broken window serenade its all true country music and some of the best around

- Modern Day Skynnard

Haven't shut the album off yet. Eight hours on the road and it's still as good and loud as the speakers can handle it! Great album!!

- Wow!

I love this album. The lyrics cut deep and the music is beautiful southern rock. I wish there were more albums like this.

- Firewater

In the tips section it states "Do not use language that can be construed as hateful, especially in regards to lifestyle, religon, or race.". So my questions is who is the person whom wrote the album review for itunes? Because I found it offensive especially the last three sentences. If you are to review a album professionally mabye you need to keep your hateful opions to yourself. I like waht this band has to sing in their songs and dig the way they are also played.

- Incredible

Best album I have heard in a while. Virginiaaaaaa!

- sweet country rock sound

I like the sound of sweet country rock! If you're a fan of Skynayrd, Blackfoot or Molly Hatchet you'll like this. I did! Thanks Road Lizard

- Best album

This is the best album I have bought in a long time. There is not a bad song.

- Pure Talent - Awesome CD

This is a must purchase for your Texas Music collection.

- Another Victory for Whiskey Myers & East Texas!

I loved Road of Life and I love Firewater with the same conviction. These guys know how to make complete fantastic albums as if sculpting works of art. They are growing with thier success, not being destroyed by it. They know how to write and they know how to rock. This album has the same soul as the first with a new maturity that makes me ache for the next. True talent born in the Piney Woods of my beloved East Texas. Keep it up guys!

- Whisky Myers

I’m a little late to the party, but this band rocks! Seen them in February 2020 at Billy Bobs and now watching on YouTube live. If you like Southern Texas Rock, look no further!

- Great

Loved em when they came to lufkin

- Masterpiece

What a great sound! Songs with depth and meaning. Vocals are crisp and powerful! Awesome addition to any music collection!!

- ETX Boys have done us proud

Love these talented guys -- have for years. I will always be one of their biggest fans. They're Skynard-esque. We live for Texas Music & Whiskey Myers will always hit the spot!!

- I'm Loving This....YES, YES, YES

This album rocks and makes me think of other great bands like Lynard Skynard, SRV, and CCR. The song "How Far" totally rocks!!!! Definitely got my money's worth out of this one. Can't wait to hear more great music from these guys!!!

- Like a shot of Southern Comfort!

Love the guys...love the new album! The songs are just awesome! Listening to the cd you instantly get a sense of how much these guys just love to play music. All the songs rock, but my favorite is Different Mold (probably because I'm a bass player and the groove is killer). Definitely recommend this album for anyone that loves Texas music. Keep it up Whiskey!

- Great Album

I thought the album was really good! I bought it after watching them live and got hooked. Definitely give it a listen if you liked Cross Canadian Ragweed and other Red Dirt. Admitted, they are more southern rock than CCR, but you still get that good rock/country feel. Btw, was it just me or was the iTunes review rather harsh? This guy must have had a really bad night before listening to this album. Just because you don't like it doesn't mean you have to be a jerk...

- Dallas Tx.

Only wanted to buy The ballad of a Southern Man but accidentally got the whole album. But I really enjoyed it after all.

- Firewater

Great!!! I love Anna Marie and Clam before the Storm!!! The songwriting is bar-none.

- Loving it! more than a country album

it would appear that I'm the last one to hear about this band. with that being said I'm not a huge country fan but this is what i would consider good southern rock! so many great songs on this album and i will have to check out the rest of their catalog.

- South east Mo

Born and raised from a long line of southern men and I grew up living in the great Mississippi river any southerner will love this band it really hits home broken window is a page from my life I feel for em for that loss for iv lost do many loved ones to meth and u just wish u could help and u can't great singers god bless the south and southern music we have a lot to say and things need to be said and he says it for us but like he says I guess u wouldn't understand u got to live it it might be a hard life but it's the only life for me !!!!

- Awesome Whiskey Myers

Whiskey Myers is an awesome band, their CD Firewater is Awesome, Seen them live in concert last week and they are even better in concert . So if you get a chance go see them you will love it!!!! Also the review this album got on itunes is crap, maybe you shouldnt even put reviews on the music on itunes and just let the people who buy the CD decide whether its good or not.

- Tarleton State

You cannot walk to class without hearing somebody playing this cd. It is the best new CD in a while. Hope you guys come back an hangout with like always at the AGR house again soon.

- TN girl loves Texas band

Hello!!!!! Looooooooove this!!!!!!

- Something for Everyone!

From classic rock, to southern rock, blues and modern country, if it's worth listening to, you can hear its influences in Firewater! Whiskey Myers is my new favorite. Not a bad song on the album, but "Ballad of a Southern Man," and "Broken Window Serenade" consistently give me chills, while "Virginia" is sweet and mellow and "Different Mold" will keep you rocking. Buy this album; you won't regret it!

- Lol

Hippies from the 70's. Looks like this album proves that country music doesn't exist anymore. Thanks for killing it guys! RIP Hank and Waylon

- This is proper country

So glad we have Whiskey Myer, Chris Stapleton and few others to give us proper country music, not the corporate, poppy, tractor rap being forced on us on radio.

- Amazing Great Album

Each and every song on this Album is absolutely Fantastic. This Album takes Southern Rock /Blues from its Roots and mixes it with our current life and times in America. The Soulful Acoustic Guitar blends with slide Guitar, Guitars in Tune and singers in Key, great Drum beat and bass, this Album has it all. Did I forget to talk about how the Lyrics tell a story from beginning to end that you hang on to with every word that paints a picture in your mind such as Grandma’s in the Kitchen , Papa’s drunk past dawn we sit out on the front porch picking on the songs and there’s blood on the table cause we work for what we have. It just don’t get no better then what Whiskey Myers did on this Album.

- AWESOME

Love your music

- Rockin'

This album is awesome. Well worth the money!! Vocals are great and so are the lyrics, but the overall vibe is what makes the album really stand out.

- Great southern rock

Throwback to the good old days of southern rock

- Firewater & Road of Life

My grandparents were farmers in Elkhart, Texas and as a kid growing up I spent many summers on the farm in the sixties and seventies. So when our daughter told us that she had been to see/hear Whiskey Meyers at East Texas honkytonks and that they were a East Texas band from Elkhart - we had to listen and glad we did. We really like their music - it reminds me of Lynard Skynard and some Stevie Ray Vaughn. My wife and I recommend and like Whiskey Myers.

- who wrote the iTunes review for this album?

... appears to be some hippie stuck in the 70s who's not in the least bit familiar with Texas country as a genre and even less in tune with what its respective fans like. Hopefully any potential new fans will preview the album or scroll down to read customer reviews before being scared off by this biased take on what is truly a great album. iTunes really did these guys a diservice by posting that and it's a shame. Keep on playing good Texas country and I'll keep on listening. Hope to see you guys in Fort Worth soon.

- Great album

The album review itunes has printed at the top of this page must have been written by someone who 'doesn't understand'. Exactly the type of person the Ballad of a Southern Man song was written TO, which I find funny in an ironic kind of way. This album is really good, and I strongly suggest anyone who has Texas roots or Southern roots for that matter to get it. I had never heard of WM until my teenage son picked up this CD in a store and asked me to buy it for him. I loved the artwork on the cover so I bought it. SO thankful I did!! I even came to itunes to download another copy just so I could get Dying For Tonight. You will not regret this purchase!

- Texas music at its best!

My cousin turned me on to this a couple of weeks ago and I bought it. I love the sound and it's a mix between country and rock.

- BEST SONGS:

- bar, guitar and a honky tonk bar

i have no idea what ya;ll listening to..but this is the song. buy it love it , crank it up

- Jam Up & Jelly Tight

Just some good listening music right here! A awesome group of talented artist & musician's right here! A breath of fresh air compared to everything else on the radio right now.

- Great stuff!

I stumbled on the album mud, and loved that one so I went and sampled the rest of the library. I found this album to be just as great. I like every song, and appreciate the effort to write soulful, unique songs. This is a group that does it right. I can't wait to see them break through and become known by even more people.

- Awesome

One of the best bands out there. Period.

- This is an excellent southern rock album!

I just found out about these guys and I'm disappointed that it took so long. From what I gather these guys are young but they show a tremendous amount of maturity in their music. The lyrics are solid, the riffs are solid and the solo's are what you would expect from a 70's era southern rock band! These guys are the real deal!!

- Amazing!

This band is absolutely amazing and never get tired of listening to them.... My only request is that they come play some California shows. Theres a lot of people here waiting to see Whiskey Myers...HINT HINT!

- Firewater!!

Been waiten for some new stuff! Love the whole new album! Heard Bar, Guitar on our local small town Kansas radio station and almost blew my speakers. I hear a little SRV in there!! Awsome!!
