I fell in love with this album!ELO's greatest tunes all in one! Although this is the only album I have of them, it includes my favorite tracks.I simply adore every song on the album except "Rock and Roll Is King". Otherwise, I can't wait to purchase Vol.2!(Which has all my other favorite Electric Light Orchestra songs!)Last, but not least, the sound quality is terrific on this album!

The genius of Jeff Lynne shines through once again. This puts to rest any idea I ever had regarding what I thought was his growing wearIness of ELO. This release may not chart but I don't think that matters to Lynne. He seems to be enjoying what he admits he loves doing; being in the studio! 4 & 1/2 stars!

Growing up in Liverpool England it is great to find the music that was played in my younger days! Just love it! I never get tired of listening to it and now my Californian husband keeps playing it and he hadn't really heard of them before. Buy the whole album it is worth it!

So much can be said about E.L.O., from there talent to their innovation. This album is definitely one I am proud to own, and I highly recommend it to everyone. If I could give it six stars, I would.

Awesome, epic, beast,raw, mint. However you like to call it this is pure awesomeness pure music period•... This is the best music everything from rock to just plain happy music ( songs that will make you happy and will take you're depression away GARENTEED) yes it's that good. This music will fit everyone's type if music even people who don't like music. I would give this infinite stars if could. It's a beautiful master piece of music :D this is the best music in the world buy it today no exceptions no hesitations no questions just do it :)

This is one of the most unique, amazing sounding bands I have ever heard. What is really strange is that I am from this generation and I really don't listen to a lot of music from the 70's and 80's. This album, however, is amazing. My dad showed me a lot of songs but I never was really interested until I played Skate 2, which had the song Showdown on it. Really great band, really great music. Highly recommend.

"Hey you with the pretty face welcome to the human race" ........beautiful lyrics and such a track. ELO are without doubt one of those gems of a rock band you have to have in your record collection.

I agree with the main review here that while most of the key tunes are here, some are inexplicably missing. And let's face it, that new version of Xanadu sounds rather anemic without Olivia's enthusiastic vocals. But overall a decent collection.

So how can "Fire on High" NOT be on this album ? You're kidding right ?

Although ELO has amazing orchestration and incorperates many styles of music into their songs, they are not very well known. If introduced to this music, almost everybody would be able to find a song they like somewhere.

This is a masterpiece. A collection of ELO's Hits and what a collection. Great orchestration and arrangements. This is one of the best greatest hits collections of all time from one of the greatest bands of all time.
