a fantastic christmas album. i enjoy the mix of traditional carols but the incorporation of modern or lesser-known songs that have the holiday twist, but still expand beyond the usual holiday music! I love the tranquility and overall tone of the whole album, which holds the same comfort of a winter night by the fireside (or whatever it means to you). It's a unique work, and something many can enjoy all year long!

I've really enjoyed this album for it's original renditions of often heard songs. I would particularly recommend In a Bleak Mid Winter as maybe the most contemplative Christmas piece I own. I often imagine being at a midnight Christmas service lit only with candlelight, or being in a snowy meadow with only moonlight. I highly recommend her rendition of that hymn if you like those sorts of pieces.

Sarah is probably the best female artist ever. I dont even like many female singers but I always am impressed by her. This is no surprise, I love it. Any album she puts out is gold. kudos again Sarah!!!

This album is exactly what I thought it would be. Sarah has a beautiful voice and she puts a great twist to these classic songs. What child is this?(Greensleeves) is my favorite. Enjoy! I sure did.

Goes down as one of my all-time favorite Christmas albums. She has a amazing voice. My favorite song is Song for a Winter's Night. I love the way she blends and harmonizes the voices together.

This is one of my favorite Xmas albums, and I think it ranks as one of McLachlan's best albums overall, and the best holiday album by any artist, in recent years. As for the accusation that she is an "atheist", that is a ridiculous and false charge--she is actually agnostic and has been quoted as saying, "I don't follow any organized religion, but I do believe in the idea of God as a verb -- being love and light..." Sarah has even performed for the Pope! Some highlights of this album--there are many--include: the cover of Lennon's "Happy Xmas", "River", "I'll be Home for Christmas", "O Little Town of Bethlehem", and "Song for a Winter's Night". Sarah's spectacular arrangements and distinctively emotive voice make this album a new classic for Yule.

She's totally awesome.

Sarah puts a nice twist on traditional christmas music, making an album that you could listen to anytime. The best song on the album is River. Her haunting voice suits the songs perfectly.

This is an exceptional christmas album. Sarah McLachlan has a beautiful voice and her album features songs that display her talents excellently. Her song 'River' is an extraordinary song that I would recommend to anyone. Wintersong is a wonderful addition to my collection of holiday albums!
