Beautiful melodies, vocal compositions, Enya delivers another beautiful masterpiece. - The feel of the Album is very snowy, for many reasons, some less obvious than others. There are some very wonderful old Christmas carols recorded with that twist that is only, Enya.! As well this album has some interesting Enya originals, full of interesting Christmas sound that make me want to hum along. A++

One of the best "Christmas" releases hands down. Not only that but it stands as one of Enya's best recordings since... True she has not evolved during the transition from The Celts to Watermark, however she really does not need to. Her sound is firmly intact and is refined through every album. Like AC/DC, with every Enya release you know what you are in for. Happy Holidays!

Just brought home the CD. It is a good one. I have never been disappointed with Enya and find that the longer I wait for the next one the better the quaity and the music. She has been working for a while on a Christmas CD and now we have it. Christmas songs redefined, and a good job at that.

This album is absolutely wonderful! Everything Enya does is wonderful. She has such a pure, angelic voice. I never get tired of listening to her music. This Christmas album just might be better than Josh Groban's!!! I love them both.

I am not a religious person, but I am spiritual and I really love the tone and delivery of this masterpiece. If I had known it was a holiday album I would not have purchased it, but I am glad that I did and you will be too!

I am a fan of Enya's. This collection will only appeal to a rabid fan or a newcomer to her sound. There are a few worthwhile songs, although I will not jump on the bandwagon for "Emmanuel" - I 've heard better versions of this beautiful hymn. I would encourage anyone discovering Enya through this collection to look into her previous recordings.

I have all of Enya's albums. "And Winter Came" is a wonderful holiday album. Enya's version of "O Come, O Come Emmanuel" is a total treat for the ears. Her voice is both mesmerizing and soothing. I especially like it when Enya sings in Gaelic; as she does in "Oiche Chiuin". If you like Enya, then you'll like "And Winter Came".

I love the songs on this album. I can't get the Toy soldier song out of my head and the rendition of O Come, O Come Emmanuel is pretty awesome its my favorite Christmas carol and its done beautifully in Enya's voice. This album is a Christmas treat, I'm already gifting it out to my friends who likes her stuff. Be sure to watch the music video that comes with the album it explains a lot about the songs. Enya's voice sends chills down my spine...She has the voice of an angel...Just like the first time I heard her about 10 years ago...WOW...The album cover comes to life in this music...It is as if you are in the enchanted forest in "And Winter Came" and The "White is in the Winter Night" really rocks too.

It always suprises me how Enya can put together such beautiful pieces of music. This album really gets you in the mood for winter with its relaxing tone. This album truley is the sound of winter!

enya stays true to the musical style she's known for, and this is a great album. best tracks are: 1. o come, o come, emmanuel- really showcases her voice 2. oiche chiuin- gaelic version of silent night, very beautiful 3. and winter came- a lovely instrumental 4. stars and midnight blue- sweet lyrics 5. journey of the angels- simply wonderful. ...love this cd..but i was looking for enya's other cd's and i noticed that a day without rain is not on itunes...? what's up?!?!

Enya's music is so haunting and chill and different. I have never heard anyone else like her.

I've been listening to Enya for years, and was slightly disappointed w/ Amaratine. Felt it borrowed to much from a lot of her older music. This on the other hand was a nice fresh release. My My! is a fun little tune! They do a wonderful job w/ Trains and Winter Rains on the message the song is meant to convey. One Toy soldier always manages to give me a knot in the back of the throat. Hearing Silent Night in Gaelic was a very nice treat. Overall this is definitely one of her better releases! You cannot go wrong w/ this one.

Not as good as her other albums but still worthy and a great listen. I think "My! My! Time Flies" is best song by far that I can listen to for days! "Trains and Winter Rains" also a favorite.

LOVE IT! Pure Enya - all the things we love about her!

Completely worth it if only for My! My! Time Flies! and O Come, O Come Emmanuel which are both incredible whether or not you are an enya fan. The rest of the album is increidbly solid and will content anyone who's into this style of music.

A very well crafted album. The songs and sounds are, unfortunately, predictable. I dusted off and listened through Watermark and Shepard Moons last night and honestly this album, while fun and beautiful, is crafted the same as most of her earlier work. It almost seems as though they are the same songs with different lyrics. If you love Enya chances are you'll love this album. If you are looking for something different from this very talented artist take a look at track 11, "My! My! Time Flies!" It stands out on the album as a nice diversion from the "ooh-aahs" of the rest of the songs. But hey, it's Christmas ...

3 years' waiting, now hush, lose yourself in it.

Very soothing and beautiful. She is a true artist and this album ranks up there shepard moons. Her Take on O Come, O Come Emmanuel is simply one of the most beautiful songs I have ever heard.

Within a few seconds of hearing the opening bars of "My! My! Time Flies", I knew Enya had once again gone above and beyond. In a world of sugar pop and little substance, she delivers. It makes me hopeful that humanity produces such treasures.

This is a wonderful album- everything I had been hoping it would be.However, I downloaded it at amazon for 8.99, as opposed to the 12.99 it was here. (and pst, the killers new album is 3.99 there!) No matter the price, this album is worth it. It is soothing and refreshing and energizing all at once, and a great blend of new christmas music with a bit of traditional.I'm sure I will be listening to it all year round!

Obviously someone in the recording industry realized enya's style and layered vocal technique was good for business, because this sounds like enya regurgitated noise to sound similar to her other albums. None of these songs have any heart, or any of enya's essence. Too bad!

Another wonderful album

Although this is not as good as her earlier work, Enya has come out with a great winter themed album that showcases her unique style and wonderful talent. Well done! A must buy!

I discovered Enya about 9 years ago... been a fan ever since and I'm so delighted I can now purchase her music on-line through Apple. It is totally inconvenient for me to go to a shopping mall (I live in a very rural and isolated area) and this most recent release is well worth twice what I paid for it on-line. Like all her music, And Winter Came, has a spiritual quality. It is the closet thing to my of being in my airplane and flying between the clouds, or being adrift in a boat on a pond on a pleasant spring day up in the mountains. This release, unburdens my mind... removes me from any drudgery in my life and is most uplifting... Who else but Enya does this? Angels I suspect, but we won't know until we make that trip "upstairs."

I have been trying all day to download this and the new Beyonce album and they aren't working!

I love Enya. I really do. Always have. But she doesn't put out new music very often. I waited and waited for something new after Amarantine. And I got a CHRISTMAS ALBUM? Has she become so bored with her music? Now I have to wait a few more YEARS for her to get back to business. If she produced more new work, this wouldn't bother me so much. Chritsmas albums are a dime a dozen. Would have liked something more original.
