I love the lyrics! My husband passed away 5 months ago and the songs in the "Thrive" album minister to me. The words encourage me to rely on God to carry me through this difficult time. The music is upbeat but doesn't overwhem the lyrics.

I have seen Casting Crowns live before & they put on the best show ever. This album is by far their best and I can't stop listening to it. Such an amazing and touching album to get. Highly recommended :)))) I would give it 10 stars if I could.

I typically LOVE Casting Crowns. I switch between the Altar and the Door and Come to the Well CD in my car on a pretty constant basis (and I've been known to loop "American Dream" for an entire two hour car ride). I was hoping for another album of songs like that. This isn't it. There's not a whole lot here that energizes, and I wouldn't listen to any of this in a car - unless I wanted to fall asleep at the wheel and go see Jesus. Okay, there's one exception. "Love You With The Truth" is pretty upbeat. That's why this album gets two stars instead of one.

I heard Thrive on Fox and Friends Friday and bought the album Saturday. Only listened to the entire album once but it sounds like another great collection. God bless Casting Crowns!

What can I say, not their best, not their worst. As a rule, Casting Crowns tends to be a well paved, flat experience. They put out music that is decent enough put lacks the spark of life. In response to the remark about 'haters', nothing to do with it. God has given me a passion for music and this is simply dry. In response to 'copyright God' do you not realize that even Paul built tents? If you expect a band to put out music AND do shows w/o payment then your a fool! They would be forced to hold reg jobs and put out sub par music for lack of time. Do you think God would be glorified by sub par?

Just Be Held is the most powerful songs I have heard in awhile.

I don’t know but almost every album sounds the same, maybe get someone else to sing some songs? Change it up a bit.

Great album, but they totally ripped off the band Life Wide Open with the album cover. Look up Life Wide Open's album "Strong" and you'll see what I mean. (It's a great record too)

From beginning to end this cd has deep Biblical depth. I applaud them staying rooted in scripture. The cd has been flying off the shelf at Morning Star Christian Bookstore. Looking forward to seeing them in concert in March!

I am in love with this album. Just be held is an awesome song and reminds us all that no matter what is going on in our lives God is in control. All you have to do is believe and trust in him.

After 32 years of marriage with four wonderful children, there are many challenges in life that threaten even good marriages between Christians. My wife and I have gone through a decade of challenges that threatened to end our marriage and split our family. "Thrive" was released at precisely the right time in our lives and is very meaningful to my wife and I as we are working to heal many of the emotional wounds the devil has nurtured in our lives. We just attended a Casting Crowns concert last night, which was a delayed Valentine's day gift from my wife. I pray that it will continue to provide meaning to my wife and I as we continue to work on our marriage through Christian counseling. I want the group to know how much this album, cut after cut means to us. We continue to be best friends, who love each other, even through these difficult times.

Casting Crowns have dipped back into their unique originality in Thrive! "This Is Now" is one of the most eloquently written songs about the place Peter is in after his denial of Christ that really makes it more relatable then ever. "Waiting on the Night to Fall" is an eerily written reckoning song about the old mans ways of sneaking back into the new mans life. "Just Be Held" picks up on the heels of "East To West" and is a song that Christian Music has been missing. Very good album that meets the prodigal in all of us with a fistful of Gods grace.

The cover hints some very strong pagan overtones. & I'm sure y'all just a bunch of really super cool white trendy hipsters. Just trying to pull of this down home country vibe that's in demand, & at the very same time add some root music to the mix, to seem a little less "Contemporary." Which I do so applaud you for doing so. But not from a talent stand point, only from a market!
