- Better or Worse?

I have been a huge fan since 1993 and bought every album since. This is my first time not buying it. The lyrics are not what they used to be. I loved him for his lyrics and creativity. Now it sounds like he's not even trying. Sorry, but I'm disappointed.

To his DIEHARD fans this is amusicians album. No AUTOTONE just pure vocals and instruments. This is something that is rare these days.

I love Brian McKnight however, this is not his best work. He is a much better singer, producer and musician than this album. I have all of your work and support you consistently. I look forward to better from you in the future.

This album is great! No generic modern production, real instruments, no auto-tune, maybe it's not as good as his older music but it's still a great album and better than his 2017 album with modern cheap production. I guess some people just can't appreciate real instruments in r&b?

Sounds so dated but not even in a good way! As a long time fan since his first album, I'd have to say this one is at the bottom of all his work.

- Back to Classic McKnight

Only one track to review, but this sounds like he's going back to his roots... and il glad. Nothing over-synthesized. Nothing running through obvious auto-tune. Just McKnight and his instruments. Welcome back, Brian! We have missed you!!

- Painful

It sounds like he just found so instrumental tracks on his keyboard and tried to sing over them. The music doesn't even flow with the lyrics. The thing is the lyrics are good, but the background music is soooooooooooooooooo bad you enjoy the lyrics. Brian, don't be another R. Kelly, that dude hasn't had a good album in years and just puts out BS out now cause he can. The next album don't rush, look at Kenny Lattimore. Comes out with an album every few YEARS! and there perfect.

I am such a huge Brian McKnight fan but this album is horribly written and the production is SOOOOOOO outdated!!! I expected WAY more and feel totally let down. Even his vocals are produced badly. He’s a WAY better singer than what they took the time to capture. PLEASE try again Brian because we all love you and want more.

I'm a super big fan of Brian McKnight .. Hell pretty much all my music in my phone is from his previous albums .. This album I am personally not a fan of .. I think it's Completely different then his regular sound which I believe sometimes change is good ... But I fell in love with him and his music because it had some type of meaning behind it and spoke to a lot of trials that has taken part in my relationships or just my everyday life this .. I don't know I just was not feeling it good luck on your Brian still a big fan ❤️

I have adored and ❤️ Brian since the first album. I just saw him and Boney James last year in concert and was so excited will he premiered "Uh Oh Feeling" and said a new album was on its way. There are some nice songs on here but I expected more especially from an absolute phenomenal talent like BM.

I have been a McKnight fan since the beginning!! I love his ability to change up and throw a curve ball at you once in a while… However, This album simply lacked anything that was remotely catchy… I can’t co-sign it, therefore I will wait and hope his next (if there IS a next) album will be better

Let me first say that I am a DIEHARD Brian Mcknight fan from 1991 when he sang on Donnie Simpsons Thanksgiving Special on Bet with Vanessa Williams and Small Change. I have purchased EVERY album of his, and it pains me to type this review, but this ALBUM STINKS. I bought this album because she said he was going back to the basics, and only 2-3 songs are old school Brian…..Brian used to take you on a musical journey to sadness, happiness, love, hurt, and Joy. Now he takes us on a journey to nowhere. Sadly like a fool I will continue to support Brian because I know he will come back one day and WOW ME again….

I, like many others, have been a Brian McKnight fan for wellover twenty years but I would have to say that his weakest album. While he has definitely put out some inconsistent albums what distinguishes this one from the others is that those other albums always had at least a few tracks that really compensated for the weaker songs. This album has a few okay songs but nothing very strong and many of the other songs seem like they could have been released in the eary nineties or late eighties. Hopefully the next one will be better.

It can be kind of stressful waiting for your favorite artists to launch new music. Mainly because of fear of disappointment and the unknown. Unless you're a fan of Brian McKnight. Then you can rest easy and start the celebration on release day, because you already know, he's going to come with it! Brian really outdid himself with this one. In fact, it's a lesson in how to do R&B right. He's giving us classic love ballads like only he can do but somehow magically making them current and hip. From the hard hitting instruments, to his silky smooth vocals, he once again proves that he is a master songwriter, creator of groove, clever story teller, a true romantic and a show off of skills. There's no doubt that this man is so much in love that these songs oozed and dripped from his soul. Then, as any man truly in love would do, he shouts it from the mountain top by sharing his love story with us. So inspiring.
