I used to have it on compact disc. Which sounded great. However I agree with the people that said the version on iTunes sounds really compressed. In fact, it seems all of Led Zeppelin‘s music on iTunes sounds that way. Go back to the 1993 remasters.

Woodstock. That’s all I’ll say about that. Between them and Black Sabbath, the latter is by far superior and heavier too. Led Zeppelin is overrated beyond belief, and are ripoff artists too. I think Ozzy Osborne is a much better sounding (not exactly technically) singer than Robert Plant. Plant sounds like he’s stoned half the time wailing like an idiot. Same ol sex drugs and rock n roll baloney that everyone else was doing but sleazier, unlike Sabbath that actually had better topics.

Great compilation on their hits but I do believe tangerine and going to California should be on this maybe even the rain song but still , it is the real rock n roll that takes you back to a time that will never come again !!

Pure rock and roll, I highly recommend.

this album is great. but Apple has protected it so that you can not use it with any other program. Ie.Moises. needed some songs to break out the steams to learn on instruments..Unfortanatly Apple does not disclose what songs/Albums are DRM-Protected.

I bought the album, love Led Zeppelin, After buying the album... I was un able to play one song off of the album.. ( All of my love ) i could not listen to it thru I tunes, My media plaer on my computer, It kept telling me that the song was invalid, I tunes kept making me siging in to register my device, even after signing in it still would not play.... I ended up having to buy thte same song off of a different album so that I could listen to that one song..... ( NOT COOL APPLE )

What a compilation! Listened to all their albums back in the seventies when I was young and stoned, and appreciated the talent and musicianship of the players. But now that I am older I find I love it even more for their variety, rockin’ pulse, and the overall never ending memories these songs generate. This is the only LZ song I do not have and will not DL it. Ever. There's a reason for it. Going to California? Fav tune.

I'd bought the CDs years ago, but lost them during one move or another. Even though this is the 2nd time I've purchased the collection, it is still worth every cent! Whether you've just recently discovered LZ or if you are a lifelong diehard fan, this album will not disappoint.

Led Zeppelin has been my #1 band since I was 10 years old and I still love them. They are the definition of hard rock. Robert Plant is my favorite singer too, so lucky me. No one can say that Zeppelin is a bad band because they MADE rock genres that people love.

Compressed piece of cr*p, get the '14 remasters on the studio albums which sound much better.

This is such an amazing collection that represents why LZ is absolutely the BEST BAND EVER! But, as a huge fan myself that knows and loves every single one of their songs and albums by heart, I would say that getting their 8 studio albums (plus Coda) is way more worth it in the end. By getting this compilation of their hits, you're missing out on the absolute gems that are on the studio albums, like How Many More Times, The Lemon Song, Friends, Celebration Day, Out On The Tiles, Misty Mountain Hop, Four Sticks, Going To California, The Rain Song, The Ocean (which should've replaced D'yer Mak'er for a Houses of the Holy song, in my opinion), Custard Pie, The Rover, In My Time Of Dying (Bonzo's best probably), In The Light, Ten Years Gone, The Wanton Song, For Your Life, Fool In The Rain, and Carouselambra. Notice these are listed in order of the tracks on each of the albums, which just shows how I know them by heart. Bottom line: This is great to introduce someone on to Zep, but the studio albums are way better!

To be honest Zeppelin is one of those rock bands that's a soul shaking masterpiece of musical genius. Every album is epic in content! I've actually listened to every album from start to finish in one day and I was never disappointed. They set the Rock and Roll Bar very high in both music and lyrical genius. I have been trying to "complete album" for weeks and all it says is "Item Being Modified, Try Again Later." Please fix!!

One of my favorite albums, in fact I think this is one of the best albums, period. But this version has a serious case of compression, even the one on Youtube sounds better. I would recommend audiophiles get this album from somewhere else. But if you're just popping in some of those cheapo earbuds apple gave you- sure why not.

Although this compilation was released in 2007, using the 1993 remasters, the version now on iTunes has been quietly updated to include songs from the 2014 and 2015 remastering of all the Zeppelin albums. The version previously available on iTunes did contain the 1993 remasters. I have it, as it was included on a digital only collection, The Complete Led Zeppelin, which is no longer available. "Nobody's Fault But Mine", for example, now clocks in at 6:28, consistent with the version found on the 2015 remaster of "Presence". The previous "Mothership" version clocked in at 6:17, which is consistent with the 1993 version of "Presence". Also, tracks 1-4, from the first album, use the 2014 remaster from that same album, as the left and right stereo channels are reversed. This was done on the entire 1993 version of the first album and not corrected until the 2014 version. Note, the 2014 version is consistent with the original vinyl and CD. Given that the iTunes version of "Mothership" now uses remasters from the 2014 and 2015 remastered versions, it is without doubt the definitive introduction to Led Zeppelin for anyone not familiar with their music. These 24 songs sound tremendous and represent the most well known Zeppelin music in the commercial sphere. Granted, those of us who have been Zeppelin fans for years know everything and regard all of it similarly.

there's a reason led zeppelin is legendary. kashmir is the all time best. listen to it a few times, it may seem like "oh that's a simple song" but if you listen deeper you'll see it's really not. dazed and confused is SO GOOD, jimmy page does a great job with the violin bow. rockin.

Do you even have to think about it? This is pure all killer no filler. Every song is better than the one before it. It’s so good that this many great songs in one place is so sensory overload it should be illegal. These songs are for anyone and everyone no matter what genre of music you’re into. Do yourself and your ears a big favour BUY IT.

I bought the whole album, as I wanted Achilles last stand and it was only if I purchased the album. I'm not complaining as I love all of the songs on this album, especially Whole lotta love & Black Dog (including the classic stairway to heaven).
