About Christopher Cross by Christopher Cross Album
Christopher Cross is the self-titled debut album by Christopher Cross, released in December 1979 (see 1979 in music). In 1981, it won the Grammy Award for Album of the Year. It has been noted for being one of the most influential soft rock albums of the early 1980s and famously beat Pink Floyd's The Wall for that year's Grammy. The Album of the Year Grammy was bestowed upon its producer, Michael Omartian. The studio version album contained only 9 tracks and was released by Warner Brothers.
