How can you go wrong with Linda, Emmylou and Dolly! While the first two Trio albums were beyond phenomenal, this proves to be absolutely wonderful. Unfortunately, since Linda can no longer sing, it will be fantastic to hear "new" songs with Linda singing. I highly recommend this for all music lovers, whether or not you like country, you will love these CDs. It doesn't get any better than this folks! The harmonies are flawless.

I bought this album, when it was originally released in the late 80s. I had it on vinyl. I’m old. I saw this remastered 2015 edition, so I had to rekindle some old college memories by downloading it. It’s a wonderful album.

I only wish there were more songs that could have included. A masterpiece collection. Buy it.

Three amazing voices...true American treasures! Always loved the trio albums and so glad to have the additional tracks!

I can't wait til this is released (gives me a reason to look forward to fall)! I played these albums out in my youth and I can't wait to hear the unreleased material. Being more familuar with Linda & Emmylou's music than Dolly's, a few of these outtakes have appearedon Emmylou's box sets. BUT it will be interesting to see if they differ. This music is from a time when music was performed by pure talent & beauty nothing less and it's still reflects today from these 3 fines ladies all legends of yesterdays music and helped bring it to where it is today. Both of these albums are fantastic, I have a huge attatchment to 'Wildflowers' & 'When Were Gone, Long Gone' there are my favorite songs but I rave about these CDs to friends have for years. Check this out, esspecially if your of a younger generation, know that these is where real music started from & why these ladies have outsold all modern day artist.

An incredible mixture of voices. Each of these women are amazing in their own spotlight but the combination of voices is a spectacularly beautiful thing. I have always been a Linda Ronstadt fan and adding this final treasure is a little bittersweet.

If anything was crying for a remaster it's these sessions. All were recorded during marathon sessions with the intention of releasing Trio 2 much sooner than it appeared, the sessions for the second trio album were either remixed or slightly re-recorded when career obligations for the ladies got in the way of a reunion, by Linda for her "Feels Like Home" lp. Stand out tracks are "Wildflower" and the Dolly led "After The Goldfish" which Dolly would re-record for her "Treasures" lp but this trio version is far more effective, far more superior. I'm going to get the hard copy of this collection because to me it's a keeper.

I originally purchased Mr. Sandman several years ago, before it was “remastered”. One day, iTunes magically switched the original version I bought for a version under Emmylou Harris. Of course, the switched version is mixed to emphasize Emmylou’s voice, but the original, that I PAID FOR, highlighted Linda Ronstadt’s voice, much more. What kind of baloney is that??? Even this version isn’t the original. I want what I paid for!!!!!

The original Trio albums were classics done by three of the greatest voices of all time. Remaster many of those, add some superb cuts that had not been released previously, and the result is a collection that is a must-have for anyone who loves this genre. Linda Ronstadt is no longer able to perform, making this deluxe edition even more of a treasure. Ranks with some of the all-time greats like the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band's Will the Circle Be Unbroken series.

I do love all three of these ladies individually. Together they are a powerhouse to be reckoned with! Every time I listen to this album my goosebumps chase my goosebumps up and down my goosebumps… Yes, it’s that good in my opinion and the opinion of my body and soul

I hope that when I die, these are the voices I hear. The songs are exquisite, the arrangements inspired, the voices are perfect. This is music you want to own in your collection. Convert to Lossless get closer to the original sound. Heavenly.

Individually, all three of these women have incredible repertoires, but I think their Trio work is the best any of them have ever done. They really brought out the best in each other. The first Trio album is an absolutely perfect record. The song selection, arrangements, production, and certainly the vocals were all spot-on. I think it stands as one of the best country albums ever. The second Trio album was also really great even though a lot of the material was recycled from Linda’s Feels Like Home album with Dolly’s vocals added in. Even so, the Trio version of “Feels Like Home” is, in my opinion, the best cover of that song. So the two albums packaged together is great, but the interest here, obviously, is in the bonus material—the alternate versions and previously unreleased cuts. The alternate takes are fun to listen to because they show how the recording sessions took shape when you compare them to the album versions. Then the previously unreleased tracks hint that there could have been many more Trio albums if only they could have coordinated their schedules. Of particular note are "Grey Funnel Line" and "You Don't Knock" from the 1986 sessions. Even Emmylou comments at the end of "You Don't Knock" that, "Boy, that one felt real good!" It sounded great, too, Emmylou! I also think "Handful of Dust" and "Waltz Across Texas" from the 1993 and 1994 sessions are particularly strong tracks. The only thing missing here is "Palms of Victory," which is only available, to my knowledge, on a boxed set of Emmylou's rarities. Even so, this collection is truly a gift to the fans. It captures three diverse artists whose blend took each of them to a supernatural level.

Absolutely adore this album comprising of Trio Trio2 and unreleased/other versions of Trio songs. Dolly Emmylou and Linda sing like Angels. The songs are so good and I can't fault anything or praise the album enough. I would recommend it for your collection if you like real country music
