The remastering actually messed with the pure quality of Linda's voice! What the hell??? They narrowed her EQ so that now, yes, it is very centered, compressed and even more punctuated, but you do NOT need to put any punch into Ronstadt's voice. It's already one of the most focused and full voices ever in history. Why did they do this, who's stupid idea??? Shameful. The original mix and master was sweet, full, warm and PERFECT! You screwed up a masterpiece and I want my money back (so that I can buy the original master version). If you are an audiophile, are into delicious sound quality and do not want your ears poked with a needle, skip this purchase and track down the original.

Simply the best mexican album of all time, many years have gone by and this has always been on the top 50. Amazing Voice, Amazing Mariachi, Amazing Songs

I own the original recordings of Mi Padre & Mi Madre. Mi Padre original is much better then the remastered. However, Mariarchi at its best.

This album had to be her best seller world wide.

I whished this CD had the song "volver volver" that she sand on the famous PBS special.

How can we get the label to release this back on Vinyl. It was HUGE and it can be again.
