Loved it. Worth the wait.

- Love this album

Rock n roll lives! Thank you blink 182

- Great album

This album is very different but don't get me wrong, it's great. Matt Skiba is a great addition to the band and a very talented vocalist. If you listened to the old blink(before Enema) it was humorous and very silly, I think it's a good thing that blink kept this however Tom DeLognes voice helped it. Matt has a better voice in my opinion and Matt and Marks ability to harmonize is on point. AVA is not very good either, Toms music has become soft however the messages he is conveying through his music and passion is great. Travis barker is still the same great drummer he's always been from Aqua-bats to Steve Aoki he's a favorite of mine. I am very disappointed with Tom for changing his music. He did great with blink and Box car racer but has lost my favor.

- Blink 182 is not the same without Tom DeLonge

This album is okay, does not sound like Blink at all... only one song which is the most popular one, "She's out of her mind." Anyways if you know Blink this is just okay work... they need to wait for Tom to come back and help them with there writing.

- Matt Skiba + Mark and Travis are Fantastic!

Have always been a Blink fan and even more so now. I think his different sound is a great addition to the band. He definitely needs to loosen up in the live shows. Skiba is a fantastic performer with Alkaline Trio, would love to see him open up like that with Blink. Time will tell. Mark and Travis are on point per usual of course.

- Awesome

As usual blink 182 does not disappoint ! I love this album

- Here

To much wooaahhhh or oooohhhh but it's like on every song not bad though

- One of their best!

When I first listened to this album I wasn't sure but now having listen to it many times I feel it is a great effort and the songs are very good. Home Is Such A Lonely place is awesome as well as Los Angeles. A few of the words in Bored to Death such as "rescuing a tiger from a tree" are the only things I would change. I'm glad to see these guys still "punkin'" out all these years later!!

- Wow just wow

I was listening to Bored to death and decided to check the album out. It brings back all the Nostalgia of classic Blink-182 into the new era and I love this album

- Well... You guys fell down that rabbit hole

Let me begin by saying that I have been a fan of this band for about five years. I have listened to every single one of their albums, and California so far has to be one of the worst. That sentence alone cant even explain how corporate this album sounds. YES I said the word CORPORATE. Words cannot even describe how upset I am with this album. When Tom first announced his departure I was heart broken. Not in a way that was devastating, like a death of a family member, but in a way that made my heart sink. Just for the record It wouldnt have made a difference if Thomas Matthew Delonge did work on this album or not. It problably wouldnt have sucked as bad, but it still wouldve sucked. for the record the moment I heard Matt Skiba was joining the band I had no idea who the hell he was. I heard from my freinds that he was a great guitarist, composer, singer, and song writer. and to my surprise he was. i listened to a few of the Alkaline Trio's songs, and they were not too shabby. Which made me feel a little better about this album. APPARENTLY I WAS WRONG!!!!!!! This is he most boring, and watered down Blink 182 to album ever. There is something about it that I can't quite put my finger in (yes i just made a joke from this album lol) . To me it just sounds so boring. I will admit there are a few songs( Los Angeles) that are full of power, but that is just the minority of this album. I like the fact that they brought back their classic Pop Punk sound and their short, stupid, and pointless songs, but other than that this album is just plain boring. I once questioned the belief of if there is no tom there is no blink, but after hearing this garbage I am starting to believe that theory to be true. They could have done so much better with this album. Matt, Mark, and Travis smarten up, or BRING TOM BACK!

- Great harmonies

Dude ranch has been my favorite album forever and I kinda gave up on blink when Tom bounced around. I finally downloaded this album lately and it is honestly one of my favorite blink albums. Matt and Mark sound awesome together, especially in songs like left alone and California. Super good.

- This album is perfect

When they first released the first 2 songs I fell in love with them and I bought the whole album and listened to it. I literally LOVE every song on this album

- I lost my purchase

I originally preordered the album, but I've recently looked back at it and half of the songs have been removed from my phone and can now no longer be downloaded. The songs that are still on my phone can be played, but when in iTunes, the other songs only show "PURCHASED" with no option to redownload. I now can no longer listen to the entire album, and will not be buying any sort of "Deluxe" album to get my songs back in May. I payed for this album, I should have access to this content.

- i wanted to like it.....

I've honestly never been more disappointed in an album, I was really excited for this but then really let down. There's maybe two songs I like off of it and the rest all sound the same / are not blink-182.

- Great

Skiba was great for them. Glad DeLonge is back, but Skiba should have stuck around as well. They shouldn’t stop playing songs off this album in concert

- No Blink182 without Tom

Change the name of the band. It will never be blink182 without tom. This album is decent but I will forever be loyal to the albums with Tom.

- Undecided....

I will always love Blink 182, but this album doesn't sound like them to me. Matt is great, he's just not Tom. If someone played some of these songs for me without telling me it was Blink, I don't think I'd be able to say, "Oh, yeah that's Blink 182." It's weird, but I've always loved that Blink had a very particular sound...and this just isn't it. :/ I do appreciate some of these tracks....mostly the Mark heavy ones. I just.....I miss Tom.

- AWESOME

Great songs! Saw them live and they sound exactly the same as they do on this album! Would definitely give 6 stars if I could!

- Fun

Decent fast paced enjoyable album.

- 🤘🏼

Everyone giving one or two stars are just mad that Tom's gone. Let's be honest, this album is still rockin without him

- Awesome

WAY underrated album.

- Wink 91... maybe

Nothing about this album sounds like Blink 182. Very disappointing. I had no idea Tom left. Too bad. This sounds tired.

- Great album

This is a great album !! The best blink album in years !!!

- Matt Skiba has what it takes

Tom is gone but he wants to go his new direction. Matt has done a really good job as Tom's replacement, and he is singing a lot differently than in Alkaline Trio, very impressive.

- Good

I'm a huge fan of Tom, AVA is my favorite band, but they did a good album without him. It should stay like this, Mark makes punk rock, Tom makes beautiful space rock

- Wow

In love with this album!!!!

- not my blink

not the same bands change but this is for the wrost

- They will always sound amazing

❤️❤️❤️❤️

- Feels like a hybrid

The best way I can describe this album is that it sounds like a really good mix of the 2 bands with a hint of new. It’s clean and well done. Just because it’s not the original trio you can’t hate on something that hits where it should and doesn’t miss... skiba brings a whole different feel to this band, he brings new life into a bad situation.

- Great First Effort

After being skeptical for months about how blink-182 would sound without Tom DeLonge, this album quickly got rid of any doubts the first time I listened to it. Surprisingly, the music without DeLonge was just simply better at this point in their careers. In the band's last full length album Neighborhoods (2011), DeLonge was unable to successfully adapt back to the classic blink sound after being in his other band Angels & Airwaves for so many years. Dogs Eating Dogs (2012) was more of the same, as the band become less about catchy guitar riffs and more about synthesizers. On this album, the traditional blink sound finally returned which you can credit to new producer John Feldmann. While Feldmann is known to overproduce his work sometimes, his main goal of returning blink to being a fun and catchy band definitely succeeded. Matt Skiba was absolutely outstanding on this record, especially in "Left Alone". You already know what you are getting out of Mark Hoppus and Travis Barker, brilliant (sometimes dark) lyrics and world class drumming. Basically, if you are expecting blink-182 to sound exactly the same as they did with DeLonge, then you will be very disappointed. It isn't realistic to expect a band to sound the same with a new singer. This album is far from the band's best work, but it was a great first effort from the new lineup. On stage, the act is different without DeLonge (less comedy) but the music is infinitely better with Skiba at this point in their careers. We will miss the old blink-182, but even if Tom were to come back to the band, that blink will never return. I am looking forward to seeing how much this band will progress with their next album!

- Good album

Really good comeback from them

- Not feeling it!

This isn’t the blink 182 I grew up too. Honestly this stuff sounds like trash! It’s like the same song over and over and over. The rate they talk about the same think. Waste of money Mark how could you do this to me. And Travis your a good drummer but doesn’t seem like it on this album

- Best Blink Yet

I think this new lineup is way better. Love these songs.

- They are moving forward

Tom left the band for his own good reason. Despite that it is great to see band moving forward and growing up. To me this album feels they are becoming more mature and solid. 5 stars!

- The best

The best album

- Blink-182 at their finest in years!!!!

So Blink-182 traded Tom for Matt (Upgrade!), best lyrics in years, most punk album from them since the 90's, lost the Emo sounding songs. I am freaking excited. Great job, boys!!!!

- Blink-182

Best album 🙌🏻

- Old School Fan

I'm from the Cheshire Cat and Dude Ranch days where it could be argued blink was actually somewhat punk but it's a decent record with some solid tracks.

- Sh*t

Horrible. Don't bother listening. One of the worst things to bounce off my ear drums

- Nailed It!!

Blink 182 delivers well with California. A new lead sounding so familiar as if he was original--Pleasantly surprised! I've followed Blink since their first album and couldn't be happier to see them continuing to deliver in their own uniques style after all these years!

- I tried to like it

This album is absolutely horrible! Every song sounds the same. So whiney and repetitive. I listened to it several times and really wanted to like it but I couldn’t. I am disappointed because I think Matt sounded awesome with Mark and gave the band a fresh new sound although it doesn’t sound the same without Tom. I just hope Apple will let me return this album.

- AWESOME

Even without tom blink still kills it. One of my favorite blink 182 albums. This is even in my opinion as good as there old stuff. Matt is fire. Change my mind.

- Great

Finally something I can listen to from start to finish, hard to come by anymore. I miss Tom but this is some quality work.

- Don't understand all the hate

This album is amazingly great and awesome. The only song i dont like is sober but every other song is totally fuego

- Not Blink 182

Without a key member of the group, it's not right to keep the same name. If the album had been done done under a new name or maybe +44 then I would rate it a little higher, but honestly even then the songs aren't that great. Some songs are okay, like Home Is Such a Lonely Place and Bored to Death, but other than that the rest of the album is too generic and lacks the originality that Tom brought to the band. This is not blink and this album is an insult to the legacy of Blink 182

- My Favorite Band

Words can't describe how excited I was for this album. Yes, losing Tom was a pretty big deal, and I worried about how Matt would fit in, but nothing these guys do can or will ever dissapoint me. My only real problem with this album is that Matt and Mark sound very similar. Tom had such a unique voiuce that really stood out. So it takes a little bit to differentiate when the two sing. Also, the guitar work and melodies are not as catchy as I'd like, considering their past work. But, Tom is not around crafting his singature hooks or riffs anymore. So while I do miss his guitar sound and tone, Matt still does a decent enough job filling big shoes. Lyrically, vocally, and instrumentally, the songs are all solid and produced really well by the legendary Feldman. It's not as great as their previous work, but still great. Drums, as always, are solid with Travis. Bass is killer with Mark, and the new guitar sound is still interesting with Matt, just not as catchy. The only thing I didn't like was that this felt a little too polished. Feldman is a fantastic producer, but all of blink's discogrpapy had a certain raw energy to it that we lose in the production. It's a little too clean and tidy. Maybe that's a sign of the boys getting older, but, one thing Jerry Finn was great at was letting the bands just go to town. My favorite sound these guys ever had was still from their TOYPAJ days. Just raw, hard-hittign energy. Perfect pop-punk. I sound like I'm hating this album, but it really is a great release. Just different from before. It could almsot be a different band, with some of blink's signature sounds still there. My favorite teacks include: "Bored to Death", "Los Angeles", "Cynical", "San Diego", and "The Only Thing That Matters" (which soudns like it could come off the b-sides to Enema of the State.) And the two joke songs were a wodnerful throwback. Not as dirty as I would've liked...but like the "dad" version of their joke songs. Give this album a spin. Longtime blink fans will not be dissappoitned. It's different and takes some getting used to. It might be, minus Cheshire Cat, my least favorite album of theirs, but even that is saying something, cause it's miles better than most bands today. Interested to see where they go in the futue.

- Actually, I'm Not Bored to Death!!

With Matt Skiba on vocals, the band still sounds great even without Tom! I will always be a Blink-182 fan, regardless of his personal decisions. Mark and Travis, you guys are the glue to the band. Keep playing and rockin' until your Grandpa's! Haha love you guys ❤️ ~holly_823

- Goodbye, Childhood

I didn't' write a review back in 2016 because I just didn't accept this back then. I was disturbed and disgusted not realizing what happened. Y'now, it's great to see change in a band's sound with experimental music like prince did occasionally. But this isn't Blink. It's not take off your pants or jacket or enema of the state. Not even "neighborhood" quality. Songs like "she's out of her mind" and a couple others feel like they should be filler on a much better album, not the main ones! "Bored to Death" and "California" are horrible fueled by ramen cash grabs, trying too hard to be emo when it already was! This was a sad day to all the 90's kids when this was released. R.I.P, Blink-182.

- Skiba Adds Major Chops

I was skeptical about how Skiba would integrate but quickly found out the album is amazing and I hope they keep this going.

- Sick!!!

One of the few bands that kept close to there original sound despite everything they have been through and the changes they made. This album is extremely good in my opinion.

California Wiki

California ( KAL-ih-FORN-yə, -FOR-nee-ə) is a state in the Western United States, lying on the American Pacific Coast. It borders Oregon to the north, Nevada and Arizona to the east, and the Mexican state of Baja California to the south. With over 38.9 million residents across a total area of approximately 163,696 square miles (423,970 km2), it is the most populous U.S. state, the third-largest U.S. state by area, and the most populated subnational entity in North America. The Greater Los Angeles and San Francisco Bay areas in California are the nation's second and fifth-most populous urban regions respectively. Greater Los Angeles has over 18.7 million residents and the San Francisco Bay Area has over 9.6 million residents. Los Angeles is the state's most populous city and the nation's second-most populous city. San Francisco is the second-most densely populated major city in the country. Los Angeles County is the country's most populous county, and San Bernardino County is the nation's largest county by area. Sacramento is the state's capital city. California's economy is the largest of any state within the United States, with a $3.6 trillion gross state product (GSP) as of 2022. It is the largest sub-national economy in the world. If California were a sovereign nation, it would rank as the world's fifth-largest economy as of 2022, just ahead of India and the United Kingdom, as well as the 37th most populous. The Greater Los Angeles area and the San Francisco area are the nation's second- and fourth-largest urban economies ($1.0 trillion and $0.6 trillion respectively as of 2020). The San Francisco Bay Area Combined Statistical Area had the nation's highest gross domestic product per capita ($106,757) among large primary statistical areas in 2018, and is home to four of the world's ten largest companies by market capitalization and four of the world's ten richest people. Slightly over 84 percent of the state's residents 25 or older hold a high school degree, the lowest high school education rate of all 50 states. Prior to European colonization, California was one of the most culturally and linguistically diverse areas in pre-Columbian North America, and the indigenous peoples of California constituted the highest Native American population density north of what is now Mexico. European exploration in the 16th and 17th centuries led to the colonization of California by the Spanish Empire. In 1804, it was included in Alta California province within the Viceroyalty of New Spain. The area became a part of Mexico in 1821, following its successful war for independence, but was ceded to the United States in 1848 after the Mexican–American War. The California Gold Rush started in 1848 and led to dramatic social and demographic changes, including the depopulation of indigenous peoples in the California genocide. The western portion of Alta California was then organized and admitted as the 31st state on September 9, 1850, as a free state, following the Compromise of 1850. Notable contributions to popular culture, ranging from entertainment, sports, music, and fashion, have their origins in California. The state also has made substantial contributions in the fields of communication, information, innovation, education, environmentalism, entertainment, economics, politics, technology, and religion. California is the home of Hollywood, the oldest and one of the largest film industries in the world, profoundly influencing global entertainment. It is considered the origin of hippie counterculture, blue jeans, the internet, the personal computer, Barbie, skateboarding, Mission burritos, and the fortune cookie, among other inventions. The San Francisco Bay Area and the Greater Los Angeles Area are widely seen as the centers of the global technology and U.S. film industries, respectively. California's economy is very diverse. California's agricultural industry has the highest output of any U.S. state, and is led by its dairy, almonds, and grapes. With the busiest ports in the country (Los Angeles and Long Beach), California plays a pivotal role in the global supply chain, hauling in about 40% of all goods imported to the United States. The state's extremely diverse geography ranges from the Pacific Coast and metropolitan areas in the west to the Sierra Nevada mountains in the east, and from the redwood and Douglas fir forests in the northwest to the Mojave Desert in the southeast. Two-thirds of the nation's earthquake risk lies in California. The Central Valley, a fertile agricultural area, dominates the state's center. California is well known for its warm Mediterranean climate along the coast and monsoon seasonal weather inland. The large size of the state results in climates that vary from moist temperate rainforest in the north to arid desert in the interior, as well as snowy alpine in the mountains. Droughts and wildfires are an ongoing issue for the state.
