Best rock music ever

Ok, I mean it you guys are the best hard rock and electronic music I ever forever have herd!!! Listen keep on doing great I think you guys are the best, my dream would be for you to ask me up stage and sing with you I would love it I would probably pass out! It’s great but just saying I like hero, legendary and monster more... but other than that love y’all!

Unleashed is a great and fun album by Skillet. It’s an album I could listen to front to back and not grow bored. The high energy elements and softer ballads are what makes Skillet…well Skillet. However…this release started the “Stadium Rock” that they have been doing since this albums release in 2016. Where Unleashed was the rise of their Stadium Rock era, Victorious and Dominion followed in the same footsteps and ultimately became worse in my opinion.

Far from my favorite album, I only really like The Resistance and I Want to Live but there are other good ones on here too. The people saying they’ve completely changed should just be ignored, I Want to Live, at least, sounds more like Comatose than anything they’ve released since that album.

This is the best music I have ever heard in my entire life.

Back from the dead is one of the BEST songs skillet has ever made! Beaten only by Shout your freedom. My top 5 are: shout your freedom, back from the dead, battle cry, awake and alive, and those nights. (Honorable mentions to the older i get and collide)

Your still standing strong

This was one of my first actual reviews on Itunes and wow have my opinions drasticllay changed. I originally gave this album a 10/10 rating. that was back in 2016 and the hype for this album was real. It's been almost 3 years since this album has come out and I personally don't think this album has aged well. I absoultely loved this album when it came out, but now I find it to be overatted and medicore at best. Don't get me wrong, i'm still a fan of Skillet and they were my favorite band at one time, but as I grow older, I begin to see how generic and shallow this album really is. The lyrics have gotten worse, the production is overproduced at times and John Cooper uses autotune for most of the songs on here. My biggest issue with this album is that it has very little depth. A majority of the songs are just pump-up, anthem type tracks and they don't really add anything new to the table. It's just typical Skillet but worse. Some of the electronics and programming doesn't help either. There's barely any strings or piano on this album and that's a huge problem, because that's what gave Skillet their signature sound. They use strings on some tracks but barely. This album isn't terrible but it's not good by any means. It jsut feels so recycled and cheesy, and Skillet can do MUCH MORE than this. However, there are some great tracks on here like Out of Hell, and The Resistance, even though lyrically they're pretty generic. Watching for Comets and I Want To Live are some of the best Skillet songs ever made in my opinion. Overall I would give this album a 4/10. Definitley one of their weakest albums in my opinion. Their next album is coming this summer, so I hope the band can make another great album again, because this one was a big dissapointment.

Yes, this is different, but it is awesome. I love Famous, Feel Invincible, and The Resistance are some of my jams (that term is old school, don’t judge me). I just like some of the other songs, but to be honest, their older albums aren’t as good. Awake and Comatose are okay, but this is the best by far. Please make more like this. Christian Rock Forever!!!!!!!!!

This is an amazing album from start to finished. Skillet is awesome! my favorite band since 1996. The song Lions is very special to me not only because I can relate to it but it was the song we played at my dads funeral. To this day I can’t help but be emotional when I hear it. Thanks Skillet your music has helped me in so my ways not to mention helped strengthen my faith in God. Please play more shows in Milwaukee WI.

Skillet scores again in the garbage department! The worst offender is “ Back From the Dead”, an unintentionally hilarious song due to John Cooper’s hokey vampire impression. Runner up is the hit “Feel Invincible”, an annoying dookie opus that refuses to leave your unwilling head. The rest isn’t worth mentioning. In Loving Memory of Skillet (1996-2008)

The sound has gotten way better

Since Alien Youth I have been listening to them at Comatose they became my favorite band and with them including new sounds and mixing things up I can’t get enough of the new albums. Skillet never lets down!

Great music, thoughtful lyrics, and a sound that has broad appeal among Christian and non-Christian alike. Skillet has developed a unique style that lends itself to new music that fits together, without sounding formulaic or "preachy." Fans can instantly recognize their sound, even though each new song stands on its own. This group can really pump you up and inspire you with their music and lyrics. Even though they can crank to "Number 11," I think you will also enjoy their ballads. This album showcases some some terrific guitar and drum talent, by throwing in some solos and even a little jam session at the end of one song. Would love to hear a bass solo on the next record!

Love Skillet but i must say this album is better than anything they have done before just get it

My initial thougts was: "it sounds like he's writing an album for his son". The album doens't have this massive metal undertones working for it– Lyrics are average, not as deep or well-written as 'awake and alive'. Somewhat still empowering thought, which is great. Not entirely sure of the christianity expression so far? It's more electronic than metal, I do like that their experimenting with news sounds, it's got some old skillet electronic sounding noises (which is what differeniated the band in the first place) That's me being critical, I LOVE Skillet, I love their music, I love their message, and I will support it until my ears bleed.

I really enjoyed Rise, even though it had some unusual tracks that didn't quite work (imho), but Unleashed continues the trend with the band (commendably) treading new ground, though once again it doesn't always really work... I really dislike 'Lions' because it is so catchy, with the airy 'dance' music behind it (To me, it feels like it's all catchiness and style without any real substance). There are (frustratingly) a number of contradictory messages on the album (we are the saviours of the world vs I want to make you famous, is one example). I also think John over-does the 'oooh ooh' repetitive vocals. They can help to build power in the songs, but they can get a bit old after a while... Also they just don't compare in any way to the free singing that John used to do in pre- Collide albums. (Those moments were always really cool). Overall, it's not a bad album, I just feel they could have made it better... I do love The Resistance, Stars (one powerful song!) and Back from the Dead.

I've now got the whole album, and DAMN! Skillet's best work yet!

if your a real pan head like me, then you'll love this album. they're a rock band, and christain. I love these guys,and as a christain singer and gurtarist myself, I hope they make more music like this, because it's perfect for the modern day cherch and is keeping up with modern culture.
