It should go without saying that Hiroyuki Sawano is a genius when it comes to composing music. His works are featured in a wide array of anime shows like Aldnoah.Zero, Kill La Kill, Seraph of the End, and Kabaneri of the Iron Fortress. He never ceases to amaze me. That said, this OST is already on US iTunes the day it was released in Japan and elsewhere, yet where is Linked Horizon's "Shinzou wo Sasageyo" which came out in Japan May 17, 2017?

Now that I’ve listened to this soundtrack on its own, I can definitely sense Hiroyuki Sawano’s signature style that I initially discovered in Mobile Suit Gundam UC. The entire AoT series ranks among the best standalone soundtracks for me.

Not only do we get the full score from season 2 of Aot, but we get the finished soundtrack of season 1. I must've died and gone to heaven, this is amazing.

Absolutely phenomenal album, masterfully composed. Standouts definitely include the first three tracks. 'Barricades' in particular was wonderful in unexpected ways, with musical elements that send me back to the original Unreal PC game as well as seem unexpectedly at home alongside the Big Hero Six OST.

If I could give more stars, I would. I love soundtracks, but this takes the cake. Best music ever from an epic composer. ❤️

Hiroyuki Sawano got on my soundtrack radar with his stellar work for the Gundam Unicorn OVA series. His musical contributions to AoT are no exception! He succeeds in running the emotional gamut and hitting all the high notes at the right moments! In the midst of dramatically impacting moments I get choked up or pumped with adrenaline while watching the latest episode! If you're a fan of his work I highly recommend this album! Sawano simply doesn't let up and his discography continues to be epic in scale! Thank you iTunes for making the Season 2 Attack on Titan soundtrack available!
