middle aged housewife here. grew up with the usual "classic rock": bob seger, the stones, etc. in the last 10 years I've discovered electronic music—motivating at home, super-motivating at the gym. complex, deep, joyful, moody. anyway, I digress…love guy monk/livin the truth which was itunes-genius-recommended based on my other purchases. so if you like chem bros, thievery corp, etc., you'll probably like guy monk/livin the truth too. cheers! @arleigh on twitter

Very impressive release. If you enjoy Fragile State, Boozoo Bajou, K&D, or Thievery Corp, give this a try. Long Distance Goodbyes is smooth, soulful, and it will just draw you in.
Those are the only words to describe this CD. Vols. 1 and 2 are must haves, times 2.
Well, I do and even though this is kind of hypnotic jazz it has a lot of musical integrity. Ride cymbals being played with a confident and snappy swing is a welcome relief to all the open hi hat disco beats that every song you hear these days have. I have listened to this CD about 7 times since buying it and I'm not bored with it yet. Like almost every CD available, some tracks are better than others but most of the songs on this CD are musically inspirational. Highly recommended.

Best compilation album I know ,I never get tied of listening to this album.
Anyone with any appreciation of Massive Attack, Thievery Corporation or anything similar will be equally impressed with this album. One for the collection without a doubt.
