I first heard "All on My Mind" a couple of months ago and nearly drove off the road. Now I get to hear the entire album...and WHAT AN ALBUM! Who would have ever thought that a gritty-voiced white boy could sound like that? I can see Wilson Pickett and Solomon Burke screaming with joy. Next, a duet with Chris Stapleton or Ray Lamongagne, maybe Beth Hart or Brittany Howard (from Alabama Shakes) with backup by the Pips!

I have been anxiously anticipating this album so when the link was posted on IG yesterday my day was made. The album as a whole is amazing.... no surprise there!!!! When I reached the last track and heard the lyrics I instantly had tears in my eyes and an ache in my chest.... Cabinet Door is one of those songs that will truly touch your soul... especially the part about holding her hands on Sunday... talking over the TV and watching the Braves games... being from the south and especially Alabama I think that’s what most of our Grandparents are doing on Sundays.... it took me back and I saw my Grandparents.... In my opinion that’s what good music is... it takes you somewhere... it makes you feel and sometimes you get lost in a moment... Please keep doing what you’re doing.. You don’t need to be defined or put into a neat little genre box!!!! We can’t wait to see you in Birmingham!!!!!!

First, don’t love the two singles released so far. It’s like he’s now so obsessed with being the perfect hipster Americana country guy that he’s lost sight of the music. Second, his relationship with Miranda Lambert is a turn off. She was all up bro country’s butt for years until that was no longer the cool thing and now she wants into this authentic country hipster movement because that’s the new cool thing. Sad and desperate and Anderson is her ticket in. Hope he finds his way back to himself or all he’ll ever be his Miranda’s current side piece. She likes being the more powerful one and she’ll make sure it stays that way. Used to love his stuff.

Beautiful, soulful, evocative. I hear Sam Cooke & Otis Redding, other old soul. A little fun on Girlfriend, heart twisting love on Keep Leaving Me. Great follow up!

This is honestly like nothing I’ve ever heard before. I liked Miranda Lambert and I heard “pushing time” and loved that! So I ventured over to Anderson’s stuff and fell in love with his unique voice and music composition. Can’t wait to see him on his upcoming tour!

I decided to check out this album because I do appreciate some of the other artists in Anderson's circle. Unfortunately, his music was an immediate turn off as I cannot understand any lyrics. None. I had to literally look up the lyrics to know what each song was about. There are too many great musicians/singers who can also enunciate, so I'll listen to them.
