It’s okay. Aquarius was better imo. Joyride, No Drama, Stuck With Me, Ain’t Good For Ya (Interlude) & Faded Love are the highlights. The rest of the songs are just...not up to compete. Feels like she had four-five great songs, made three interludes and then made filler songs that made it seem like you could just flow through the album. WE WAITED TOO LONG FOR JUST THIS. Should’ve released Nightride as an EP and then Joyride could’ve been released full-length with the same amount of songs as Aquarius (Company, Party Favors just to name a few that good have been on the album).

I'm never disappointed with Tinashe's music. So personal, varied & creative are her songs. A true artist, accomplished beyond her years. Her stage presence & dancing are amazing as well. She's the complete package & deserves more attention than she gets. Every song on this CD is different & I love the way she mixes her melodies, lyrics & the moods of her songs.

RCA didn’t promote this album as well and that’s why Joyride has poor Album Sales, she definitely deserves more attention, “Faded Love” and “No Drama” appealed to me the most :)

This is definitely her best album (in my opinion!!) especially Stuck with me... that song is AMAZING! The singles have also been great.

Everything I wanna say is in the topic above. I will be doing an album review later online to further discuss what I feel about the album. I give it an 8.5/10 only because I wanted her to have a song where she sang like a more traditional R&B singer. Although it’s not her M.O. I’m tired of people saying she can’t sing when she can.

Who are her fans? People who have no idea what they are talking about? She is basic. She does nothing new. She looks basic. She sounds basic. Her dances are basic. There is no star quality emenating from this girl. Maybe she should just be a makeup model. Thats the only thing i see her succeeding in.

Worth the wait. Less than 5 songs I liked on nightride. This gives me vibes from her mixtapes from yeaaarrrs ago. Keep this kind of recipe! Lol

Joyride is yet another epic addition to Tinashe's catalog. She pefectly blends pop and R&B, while still sticking to her roots of her mixtapes. Always remember: quality over quantity. The album's run time is approximately 37 minutes, but in those 37 minutes, I was taken to an ethereal realm in my mind, much like Nightride took me to outerspace. Thank you Tinashe for being real and not selling yourself! Remember that haters are your motivators!

I've been waiting for Tinashe to drop another full length album for a WHILE now. Didn't know about the label drama, but it figures. This woman is so multitalented, so trendsetting, she puts me in the mind of the greatness of Aaliyah. But she writes her own music. But she's got to find a label who CARES about her and her vision, or start her own. It's so dirty, how music of your own can be given to other artists; this is what happened to Amerie consistently. Anyway, JOYRIDE is exactly what it says it is!!! I bought this 2 days after my birthday and I am loving it. Her voice is dreamy and exotic. Tinashe is absolute fire. Wake up people!!!

I was kinda nervoussbout this album just because Nightride is pretty much, what Tinashe's sound is. But let me tell yu, this album is def fuego. No Contest, Salt, He Don't Want It are my top 3 aside from the singles, they preserve that Tinashe esq sound and i love it

I would say the song highlights were No Contest (which imo should have been a single), He Don’t Want It, Ooh La La and the singles No Drama and Faded Love. The song Joyride was an interesting experimental sound and Fires and Flames served as a perfect end. I could definitely hear that she played with her voice and the vocal mixing a lot more than on previous stuff which was a really interesting sound and really made the songs more interesting. It was a bit confusing on why they were 3 interludes on such a short album but after taking a look I can see they are the only tracks Tinashe had a producer credit on and previously before she was signed she had produced almost all tracks herself. Something I would say though is that I feel the best Tinashe songs are the non-lovesong ones. The ones where she is singing about working hard or having a good time. I don’t know, but those are the ones I kinda feel more like she is saying something instead of just lyrics that were put together about being currently or previously in love with a boy because they sounded good. I think part of being a more versatile artist is about singing about a variety of different things and topics. This album is definitely does not as experimental a sound as her previous studio album Aquarius but managed not to sound completely generic. This is very much an “album album” and despite a lot of setbacks still managed not to be a disaster and fun to listen to.

She is amazing! This is a woman that knows how to create hits! So under-rated, she deserves much more recognition for her music.
