- Going through the motions since Indestructible

Loved Disturbed for years, but they’ve clearly gone complacent. Every song sounds formulaic with different words plugged in. Super disappointing. They’ve lost me.

- Good album, don't understand the negativity

This is a good album from Disturbed. It lives up to its name. It sounds very much like Disturbed, but more mature than their earlier stuff. It's filled with positive messages for people. 1. Are You Ready? This is a great album opener and concert opener. The song's message is to be strong so people can't push you over. 9/10 2. No More. This is my favorite song on the album. It's an anti-war song, and a better one than "Indestructible." 10/10 3. A Reason to Fight. This is a ballad inspired by the recent (at the time this song was recorded) suicides of Scott Weiland, Chris Cornell, and Chester Bennington. The song's message is basically "Don't commit suicide. You can overcome and rise from your past demons." Much respect to the band for this song and for them respecting other legends. 10/10 4. In Another Time. This is probably by least favorite song on the album, but it's not bad. 5/10 5. Stronger on Your Own. Great song with a great message. I am indeed stronger on my own. 9/10 6. Hold On to Memories. Eh, I don't like the slow quiet songs as much. 7/10 7. Savior of Nothing. This song is a message for Republicans and Democrats. Both sides need to hear this song. 9/10 8. Watch You Burn. This song is about joining a social group that seems great at first, but is actually toxic. That would seem to be most groups. 8/10 9. The Best Ones Lie. This song is about politicians. And yes,the best ones do indeed lie. 8/10 10. Already Gone. This is a sad depressing song to end the album. 7/10 Total: 83/100. That makes this a B album in my opinion. I think the people who bash this album just want the band to swear all the time and only do angry metal songs. But bands have to evolve to remain interesting

- Hmm

Seems like the old stuff but kinda new age I still love them tho

- Fan

I enjoyed most of the songs, they are great ! I was able to experience their concert Jan 10 2019 in SAn Diego Ca front row. They put on a awesome show !

- Great album

This is there best album yet. Got a mix of hard rock and also some slow ballads. Great album. I’m loving it. Love the leaders vocal ranges.

- Disturbed still going strong

I’ve been on the Disturbed ride sense the first album, was just a fledgling music addict in high school. Disturbed has always been a well put together musical symphony. The voice of David Draiman is one of the most powerful in rock/heavy metal of all time....no particular order but Draiman, Hetfield, Dickinson, Ozzie, Dio, and Brian Johnson/Bon Scott are the big guns. It is nice to see Disturbed evolve, and grow as musicians yet still retain their Metal roots. Thank you Disturbed for continuing to add to the beautiful tapestry that is Metal.

- Pleasantly surprised

David Draiman and the rest of the band are in their late 40s so I wasn’t expecting an album like the early days (everybody gets older). It’s more mellow but I just like it. I saw disturbed live a few weeks ago and the guy can still belt it out. The good news is that if you want the sound of the early albums... you can always play the early albums.

- Sons of Plunder

As the countless numbers hunger For worldwide renown All the pimping sons of plunder Will roll up their sleeves All searching for the answers They don't even care to know

- Tnc

Love this album still disturbed I would recommend this album people need to stop I still support the band no matter what they put out disturbed is awesome

- Back to their roots and better

I’ve been listening to them since they started. This album is incredible it’s worth every penny of the $13. I really hope they come to South Florida. There is no metal bands anymore this is definitely one that stands the test of time.

- This One Is A Pass

After listening to "Are You Ready" it's a good warmup song and gets you in the mood for what you think is going to be bigger and better Disturbed...lo' and behold the album goes nowhere. Take a pass and hope for better next album...

- Different in an odd way

As a die hard Disturbed fan, I wouldn’t say good or bad but oddly different. It’s not the same music as the sickness but nobody is the same 18 years later. Their lives have changed and the music is just reflecting that. There’s a couple of good songs on here but the rest are a hard listen for a 18 year veteran fan.

- Wait, who’s Disturbed again?

If these songs were by some other band, they would be fine I guess. But the fact that these songs are by Disturbed is... disturbing. Dave didn’t make his grunting sounds once, and that says something about this album! They should go back to their roots. Stop trying to bring in a new modern audience and get some inspiration from the first albums.

- It’s the anthem of the DNC

Lazy corny lyrics. “GET UP GET UP ARE YOU READY GET UP GET UP”. Get up, no more, and other songs on the album are blatant democratic propaganda. Others like “A reason to fight” are extremely cheesy. Worst disturbed album to date.

- Sad

Since Ten Thousand Fist I’ve only downloaded one or two song from the albums released. It’s sad really because this was truly a favorite band of mine. I feel like somethings missing though. 😒

- It's Different

I like Disturbed for their upbeat heaviness and Draiman's echoing choruses. This album had less of it, alot less. While I've grown to like every album in some way, I've had difficulty doing the same for this one. It's not persay bad but, it doesn't stand out to me. "Are You Ready," "No More," "In Another Time," and "Already Gone" are the few songs that that I like to repeatedly hear. I'm not a lyrics guy, and I'm not looking for deeper meaning. I'm looking for what sounds good and maybe this album was just a little too slow for me, which is sad because, there isn't a Disturbed another album that I don't love.

- Yeah no...

This is just not Disturbed.... Their B-Sides album The Lost Children was better than the last 3 Albums they have released.

- Unusual, but amazing

Different from their old albums, sound wise, but the lyrics are still amazing and the music in general is better than most modern music. This band is amazing, definitely worth the money!

- Speaks to me

Having followed Disturbed for years and aging as they have, I tell myself I understand the progression of their music (just like I understood Van Halen’s back in my youth). Life go from very clear black-and-white to a continuum of gray. This is by far my fave album of the band’s collection. The guitar riffs and vocals are potent as ever. Hold on to the Memories hits me in the gut as I think of my dead dad and stepdad and great moments of my past. And it makes me wonder what I will be remembered for some day. The one that rips out my soul is A Reason to Fight. I lost my father to suicide and could have lost one of my daughters too except she asked me for help. The only thing stronger than the song is the live video as David talks to the crowd. The band is by far my fave and this is some of the best music and emotion they’ve yet produced. I’m looking forward to their next album to see what they add to their legacy.

- Awesome!

Great album!

- Definitely good

I wasn’t too sure about some of the acoustical songs at first, but they’ve certainly grown on me and I can’t stop listening now. Still the same old disturbed with amazing vocals, and that sound. The harder songs rock just like always. I’m glad they’ve stepped out into some different territory.

- WOW..

What happened to this band?? These songs are dreadfully slow , unoriginal, and just weak. Every band eventually hits the songwriting wall and I guess it's Disturbed's turn. Save your money and just listen to the first couple albums again.

- Never mind

I was excited at “Are You Ready” but then I finally realized that there’s no bass and drums. I’m a HUGE Disturbed fan but they’ve gone downhill such as every other “Hard Rock” band today. F*** you Sirius XM Octane and F*** you bands who let their fans down. 😑😪😩

- Best album yet

I love all their albums, but this one hit it out of the park. The lyrics are ones that really hit you hard. Better than the generic hip hop crap with terrible messages. Thanks Disturbed for such great music and themes that have definitely helped me in my life🤘

- What is this? this isn’t the disturbed we know

After a two year hiatus we get this come on disturbed you’re all better than this this isn't metal or nu metal it’s barely good go back to your roots guys for goodness sakes those were better than this i get it you guys are older and wanted something new but come on try something else please. I haven’t even bought this album yet and i want a refund from it its that bad.

- Finally...i have my reason back!!!

I’ve been a disturbed fan almost from the beginning...though tbh, i didn’t really get them at first. I couldn’t place them into how they fit into my life, whether just as a casual fan, or a hardcore disturbed one. Ten Thousand Fists put me in the hardcore fan category...now and forever!!! And now, with Evolution, i have something i can rarely do...recommend a song that i know will cut through any musical boundaries people might have about current rock music... of course I’m referring to the life changing song “A Reason to Fight”...a song that might, if given a chance, could transform a generation the likes of which has never been seen, simply because it’s one of those songs that touch us in one way or the other...no matter what you think about the album as a whole. Imho, this is one of the best albums of the year...PERIOD!!! So to all of you who complain about this not being as good as past material...think about the person in your life who deals with addiction, or depression, or mental health challenges in general, then really listen to “A Reason to Fight”, and tell me you will never, EVER, see that person in a new light again! You can’t, because if David takes the time to remember all the friends he’s lost since the album came out, what does that tell you!?!? I see myself in a new light because of this song, and “Are You Ready”, because i can look deep inside myself, and honestly say, YES, i am ready...ready for whatever life has planned for me, and my head will be held high, because i know that someone, who i’ll probably never meet face to face, took the time to tell me, yes, you are important...yes, you are loved...and yes, if you leave this world too soon, you will be missed. And if you still feel like Disturbed’s best days are behind them...i TRIPLE DOG DARE you to watch the live video version of the song, and then come back and tell me you still feel that way! This Disturbed One will follow them wherever they go, now and forever!!! 🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻

- Its ok

Most of the albums sound and start the same

- We need to appreciate what we’ve got.

Dave’s voice has been a well kept secret for Disturbed fans for years. I’m so glad that the masses are noticing the talent that we’ve been enjoying for 5 albums. How many Disturbed converts have come aboard since Immortalized? This new album cements Dave as the greatest male voice in Rock. How long will it be before another talent like this comes along?

- Different but still awesome music

Upon first listen, I completely expected to come here and see bad reviews. It's hard for loyal fans when their favorite kickass bands try out a different softer style. Not a lot of fist-pumping along with this one BUT after accepting that fact, it can and should be judged for the quality of the music (and not that it may not have enough of your expected style). There is a lot of range in this album. 'Are you Ready' is closest to their old metal sound and there are some catchy tunes as well (No More, In Another Time) and some real heartfelt ballads that sound great, especially 'Reason to Fight' which addresses the pain the band feels over the loss of so many rock icons to addiction in recent years. David's incredible vocals sell all of the emotion in every song. My advice to anyone curious to check this out, go in with an open mind and check expectations at the door. This album is fantastic and showcases all that Disturbed is capable of.

- Different

A different sound all together on this album. Some I like some not so much but definitely evolutionary in comparison to their prior careers work.

- Good

I really like this, it may not be the classic disturbed but it has some great songs on it especially the acoustic ones. davids voice fits really well in those as well as the heavier ones

- Excellent

I didn’t like this album at first but as I listened to it, I understood. It is a great album.

- Dissapointing

I can't give it a 4 star but it has 4 star quality. What really knocks it down for me peronally is the Talk box gimmick and some of the decesions I feel they wouldn't have made. Some of the things I hear feel like a Producer telling them to write a certain way. Example- "In Another Time". The Intro is awesome and I actually like the unveiling effect they use. It's a great intro but the slow down ruined it for me. No need for the slow down before the main riff. I would have kept the intro exactly the same, remove the slow down and punch everyone in the face with jumping right in to the main riff. The main Riff is perfect. It's simple yet amazingly driving. It's what I expect from them and it delievers in spades. 5 star riff there. THEN the talk box beginning vocals just gives you a crappy feeling about this song. I hate that with a passion. It's so over used and I feel Distrubed shouldn’t be using it ever. They don't need to in any way to enhance any of their songs. The song would be way more powerful without it then with it. I think it knocks the song down 2 stars. Overall the song is great but I would rerelease it with my changes. But what do I know I'm just a basement guitar player.

- Love it

Best band out there

- Holy Sh*t, Uninvited Guest

I honestly love the album as a whole, but Uninvited Guest is my favorite song from the album. I love the melody, the acoustic elements and the soft vocals. It really is a touching song. I know people hate this album for it being too soft, but the acoustic songs and touching vocals are a nice addition to the album. Keep up the great work guys

- 🤘🏻

🤘🏻

- Evolution

Lol, they said this is their Black Album.

- Bit of a hit or miss

I’ll admit, I’m a much bigger fan of their older stuff than this. Some of the tracks in here are really good for what they are, but others just feel forced and don’t have that same energy. They tried something new. Didn’t fail completely but didn’t hit either. Over-all, Lukewarm.

- fury the vengeful one

I love how your songs speak the truth.

- I really like this

This is really good

- One of my favorite album

While I agree this is a different sound to Disturbed the voice is the same (awesome) the band sounds incredible as always and you can’t ignore the messages in these songs. I personally have battled depression and even a suicide attempt years ago I can tell you this music fills my heart and soul.

- Meh

Remember 2008? Yeah, that was the last time these guys made something worth listening to. What a shame.

- Gave me chills and tears!!!!

Wonderful as always!!!! I am a 60 years old fan since day one and will be until I go deaf or die!

- I have a CD. Why am I here!?

I’m listening to this entire album with the cut out parts in iTunes when disturbed sent me a CD of this album because I got tickets to their tour for Christmas. I have no idea why I’m listening to it here. I’m putting it in my CD player with surround sound.😂🤦🏻‍♂️

- Great album!

Love all of their albums

- You’re all dumb

I just came here to upset the 40 year old virgins who are complaining about the album.

- so good

The best Disturbed album so far! Dave's voice is amazing and the songs have so much feeling. Love it!

- Terrible

Wasted my cash on a super slow album that sounds like Extreme. Really guys!!!

- Unbelievable!

Another awesome album released by Disturbed. Once I heard “Are You Ready” before the complete release, I knew this was going to sound amazing. However, people do not seem to understand that bands have the complete right to change their sound, which I personally really love at least something from each of their released albums. Nice job, Disturbed!

- Sorry Guys!

This album is so electonically/commercially/written it's just not for me. It's gone in a completely different direction than I would have hoped. I won't support buying it.

- One of their best

I love the production of this album. Not a huge fan of this band, but I have heard all their albums. This one stands out.

- Finally!!

What an amazing song, these guys never disappoint!!! Can’t wait to hear the rest.

- Absolutely love the album

The album has depth and I find it so uplifting, very powerful music, I have always loved Disturbed and I approve of the directions they went with this album. I have listened to it 6-7 times on YouTube now and am finally buying the album

- True fan

Awesome album. Wondering how popular it will become just because of one song

- Are you ready!

Damn right I’m ready for the whole album!!

- Love it

Absolutely love "In Another Time."

- Sounds Really good

I love the Single , can’t wait till the album comes out.........

- Stayed up until midnight to hear this, so worth it 😍

I’ve been waiting on this album for months and it was so worth it I love it so much, can’t wait until you come to Australia disturbed 😍

- Yes original disturbed is BACK

So keen to hear the rest. Bring it on

- Yeah, nahhhh

I can handle a departure from their formula, but this is a different band, in a different genre, and I’m somewhat regretful at having bought the album. Want a band that departed somewhat from their roots BUT still released a cracker album, then try Godsmack’s latest 2018 effort.

- Solid

Not bad so far, hope the rest of the album will be heavier

- As a long time Disturbed fan, I am a little Disappointed

To me it’s feels like they’ve lost their edge. I miss the fast pace and heaviness of albums such as The Sickness, Immortalised and Ten thousand fists. This new album just seems like they’re just trying to create something new and different and forget about their long time fans. I have been a fan of Disturbed for many of years and to be honest, I feel a bit insulted.

- Don’t do it

Uninspired, almost boring, I feel like their creativity has peaked quite a few years ago. If not for SoS they would be gone. Don’t spend your cash in this album, there are plenty of good ones from Disturbed but this isn’t one of them.

- Love it

Great album

- Love it

I'm sure this album with disappoint some fans of a heavier Disturbed. I love it though. As always it's a lot more than just awesome music and gravelly vocals. There is real meaning and purpose to their songs with an insight and relevancy to the world we live in that reassures you that you are not alone, regardless of how insane the planet becomes. Don't miss Uninvited Guest on the Deluxe version. It really is a masterpiece.

- Need more recognition!!!

From day one Disturbed have always released bangers, without all the hype of other bands with less talent. Very distinctive sounds and melodies, but David Draiman’s voice can shift easily from haunting to sheer power. Listened to evolution and fans will be happy, but to any new listeners just sit back and enjoy pure talent 👍🏻

- Softer but still Disturbed

Loved this album, a change of pace but the same quality as ever.

- simply the best

the voice, the sound, the power, the drive. nothing comes close to this band and how they make me feel. amazing

- Ready....

And waiting 😏

- 🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻

Shut up and take my money!!!

- Aaaaand another masterpiece!

I always wonder if they can top an incredible previous album, but they then come back blow it out of the water! I can listen for hours and hours. Someday I will see them live!

- Disturbed

What a band

- Like he said! Our money is yours!

First see these Legends at OzzFest 2001. A band like no other, absolutely brilliant. Glad they’ve made a comeback and stayed. Now Gimme Gimme Gimme those tunes!
