BALLADS 1 is the debut studio album by Japanese singer-songwriter Joji. It serves as a follow-up to In Tongues EP, his first project as Joji, and Pink Season, his only album released under the now-retired alter-ego Pink Guy. It was released on 26 October 2018 through 88rising and 12Tone Music. The album debuted at number three on the US Billboard 200 with 57,000 album-equivalent units, as well as number one on the US Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart. The album was certified platinum by the RIAA in October 2021. The album includes four singles released prior to the album – “SLOW DANCING IN THE DARK”, “YEAH RIGHT”, “CAN’T GET OVER YOU” and “TEST DRIVE.” The focus of the album is overwhelmingly on Joji’s love life, though it also includes sentiments regarding his friendships and rise to fame. The album was certified gold on January 16, 2020, and was certified platinum on October 6, 2021 - just 20 days before the album's third release anniversary.

At least post an update video.you could drop the frank and chin chin and speed god and pink guy and evil imposter frank and racist Santa persona and do like a vlog. No one would love you less. You are a very talented artist in film and music. The song is good, I’d listen. I just wanted to vent my feelings on somewhere where he would be most likely to look over. He could still do like vlogs or something just an update video. Your vids are always hitting over 1 Mil view which is very rare.
