About NAV by NAV Album
NAV is NAV’s eponymous debut mixtape, released on February 24, 2017. This is NAV’s first official project and it became the start of his own career in the rap industry. Before this mixtape, he co-produced fellow Canadian rapper Drake’s July 2015 single “Back To Back” without knowing it. He was then featured on American rapper and singer Travis Scott’s September 2016 track, “beibs in the trap,” off of his #1 sophomore studio album, Birds in the Trap Sing McKnight. Both records were very successful. NAV released the first and only single, “Some Way,”, a promotional single, featuring fellow Canadian XO label founder, The Weeknd. It was released on February 15, 2017, the day before The Weeknd’s 27th birthday. The official music video was released on March 3, 2017. The tracks, “Myself,”, “Up,” and “TTD,” were released onto NAV’s YouTube channel before the mixtape’s release. They were not released as official singles of the mixtape.
