- Nice

Really good album but I cannot understand some of the songs

- DIFFERENT DOES NOT EQUAL GOOD

when this album gets negative reviews, of course you Fall Out fangirls think we hate it because it’s not pop punk. i’m all for change and experimentation, but Fall Out Boy didn’t do it very well. how could you even call this experimenting?? this album is a complete overhaul of their sound! albums like Folie a Deux and Save Rock and Roll, THAT’S experimenting. but rather than doing something like that, they give us this overproduced, poorly written, terribly mixed, uninspired, obnoxious pop rock album.

- Took a bold new direction, but...

...only went halfway. I know I’m in the minority here, but I really like the edm-pop-synth-punk stuff on this album like Young and Menace, and SFRMT, I think a whole album in that style would’ve been killer. But that’s not exactly what this is, half the songs on here are either just kind of half-baked pop tracks (like Sunshine Riptide and Heaven’s Gate) or retreads of what the band has done better before (Champions). I’m not sure whether the album was always gonna be like this or these were the result of the last minute changes made to the album after the fanbase hated Y&M as the first single, but while I do enjoy this album and respect it for taking more risks than FOB usually does, I can’t shake the feeling this could’ve been way more interesting.

- I don’t hate pop fob, but I hate this

title

- MANIA

Loved this album, no matter what other people say it’s one of the best

- Amazing

They really outdid themselves for this album😍😍

- Fantastic

Took me a moment to warm up to it back when it was released, but now it has some of my most favorite songs in it. FOB has variety and that’s a good thing.

- I actually like this album

this album is good and i like how fob is constantly evolving. the album doesn’t deserve all the hate it’s getting. where are all the reviews tho?

- Not the best

Not fall out boy 👻

- I’m down for new, just not trash

FOB is changing rapidly and I can accept that. If they want to try new styles of music go ahead, but 1 thing I won’t accept is them not trying. This album is a different style from their older style and that’s ok but what’s not ok is the quality. This album is hot traaash. Save Rock And Roll was ok especially for their new genre, AB/AP had a few decent songs but was clearly going downhill and this is just horrible. When Lake Effect Kid was released it was good but they’re not sticking to that ofc so unless they go back to their roots, this band is dead.

- Yes

Yes

- Ew

Nope. Still hate this.

- Can I give less than 1 star?

I’m guessing somehow FOB has an arrangement with iTunes to delete their reviews when they get too real, but this album is garbage. Please give the reins back to Pete before you release a new album & only let Patrick sing and don’t inflict more of this crap on your fans.

- New Road

I’m liking the new sound. The new songs they’re putting out ain’t that bad. I’m actually enjoying them. I know I’m beyond late writing a review but I’m hating all the hate. To be honest, I like their direction and hope they stick with it. Cause it is hard for some bands to put out the same sounding music over and over and still get hits. So keep it going guys!

- Reviews?

This is the third time the reviews have been taken down... weird. Great album 👌

- Fun and fresh

One of my new “go-to” albums.

- This is bad

This is REALLY bad. What happened to Fall Out Boy? This isn’t them. I don’t understand at all. Normally I would comment on the instrumentals, but there aren’t any because its all electronic. The lyrics are just downright awful. I hate the autotune on Patrick’s voice, his voice is FANTASTIC, why did he use autotune?. The music isn’t even pop punk, it’s just pop. FOB’s first four albums were Master Pieces. I don’t understand how they went so far downhill. This is really bad. I can’t express how bad this album is. Now stop reading this and go listen to From Under The Cork Tree or something.

- Hear Me Out

This al I’m shows how bands evolve and change over time and I personally think this album is great and shows how the band is doing what they love. One thing I want to say though is all the people who say they are true fans but are calling this trash aren’t true fans period! Bands evolve over time and as fans we need to accept that and follow them along their journey. Another thing is for all the people who say this album is all electronic you are false, listen to any one of the songs off this album and you can hear a solid guitar and drum line. Yes it has electronic aspects to it, but I’ve been to most of their concerts when they come to my city and I’ve seen them physically play these songs with instruments not computers. So to all the “real fans” out there either get on the train or get the hell out of the way, FOB doesn’t wait for fake fans. Solid album and I can’t wait for more to come from the boys.

- Alright guys

To be honest I really really like this album and yes it is very different from previous ones like not even rock anymore but I do enjoy it a lot and bands do need to evolve over time

- if you hate this, you are a simp

im sorry. i dont make the rules

- I’m confused as heck.....

Yeah like what’s happening to all the reviews? This has happened to Taylor Swift, Ariana Grande, Selena Gomez, Hailee Steinfeld, Justin Bieber, Drake, and others. I’m so confused and upset about it🤯. Even tho I don’t listen to a lot of those guys it’s still really weird. Either Apple was hacked or they just being plain messed up with iTunes. Like most of the album tho. Except for the ones with swear words(bc of the swear words) and a few others

- LOL!

They did use to play their instruments, right? This is electronica so does anybody have a job besides the singer???

- e

Erggffff

- What

What happened to the reviews...

- Seriously Terrible

This = (lowest common denominator)

- Young & Menace is the best song!!

Best song of the album. Really makes the album imo. Incredible instrumental and unique vocals. Young and Menace is incredible!

- 🌊🔮💜

It’s sad to see so many people criticizing Fall Out Boy for changing things up... I personally don’t like the bands that sound the same every single song/album, it just gets too boring! With FOB, you never know what to expect other than Pete’s wicked pen and Patrick’s killer vocals.

- Amazing

Over a year later still holds up well very underrated

- Ooooooooo

This is just pure 🔥 Amazing

- One of my Favorite Albums

This album takes a tour through the highs and lows of summer and mania. It is spectacular, and a story of those of us who are much different from the majority of people who lead simple lives.

- Fall Out Boy

Fall Out Boy’s always going to be Fall Out Boy no matter what. No matter what music genre they change to, no matter if they get old. They’re always going to be the same. I went to a concert for this and they were so full of life, I burst out in tears. If you don’t like the album don’t listen to it, they put their hard work and effort into making this album and for you to trash it, that’s just disrespectful.

- i love it!

some of you guys are just really sensitive. whats wrong with an artist trying new styles? i love this album a lot. its just as amazing as the others. fall out boy is one of the best bands out there. i love them a lot.

- their most mediocre album

i think plenty of people are being hyperbolic in either direction with this album. for the haters, i agree that some of these tracks are plain bad, like “young and menace” and “champion”. the former has really messy and unappealing production while the latter feels like the ultimate culmination in lazy stadium pop rock, a trend they started with light 'em up and centuries but has reached its rock bottom here. however, there are still some great songs and at least moments here, like last of the real ones, stay frosty, wilson, church, and the very beginning of heaven’s gate. hold me tight is a very solid song as well. finally, sunshine riptide and bishop’s knife trick are alright, but by fall out boy standards would’ve been the worst ones off this album had it not been for the ones i mentioned earlier. had champion and young and menace been cut and replaced with the songs on the lake effect kid ep, i think this album would be 4 stars easily, and much more in line with post hiatus fall out boy quality wise, but as is this isclearly their worst project yet

- LOVE THIS ALBUM! except...

I love Fall Out Boy, I’m a loyal fan and have been for a few years. I think this album is good, I like pop music and I think the lyricism is what really keeps them relevant to their roots. However... the instrumentals... there aren’t any! You have absolutely insanely talented musicians, a drummer, bassist, and two guitarists, and you don’t hear any of that in this album! Experimentation is extremely important, and everyone saying this album is garbage because it’s “poppy” is not open minded at all. However, going this far from the sound everyone knows and loves is bound to get some backlash. Notice how none of the songs from this album reached top 10 in the charts...?

- 👌

great album but why can i buy it when i already have it 🤔

- Amazing

I love to see them trying out new styles. It’s really awesome to see their evolution. 12/10 would recommend

- The album is pretty good

I would probably give this album four stars if not for the last of the real ones

- I’m obsessed

It’s one of FOBs best albums
