Brandon Victor Dixon has made that character his own. He killed “I’ll cover you”. I have listened to it so many times. He has the talent and he definitely has the voice. That boy can sing!!!!!!

To those that want to give this a 1 star review saying if it is live why is there a recorded album... BECAUSE PEOPLE WANT AN ALBUM AND THEREFORE HAVE TO PRERECORD THE ALBUM. If you witnessed Rent Live when it aired you could tell they were all actually singing in the moment. Thank you, next. So proud of Jordan and Vanessa and the rest of the cast ♥️♥️♥️♥️

I'm in love the with this musical. Where Take Me or Leave Me faultered, Brandon Victor Dixon delivered with the I'll Cover You (Reprise). He did not hold back. Made a song that I've heard many times, still touch me like the first time.

I love Vanessa Hudgens but man.......the material here is just awful in every sense of the word. Not worth the effort / money.

This beautiful alumni of RuPaul’s Drag Race breathes energy and life into the iconic role of Angel... phenomenal!

As a certified "RENThead" since the movie version (I own that soundtrack as well) in 2005, I have to say that this is the best audio recording of Jonanthan Larson's award-winning Broadway phenomenon EVER. Unlike the movie soundtrack (which left several songs out), this television soundtrack contains ALL of the songs. The Original Broadway Cast album (which I also own) also contains all the songs, but the production values aren't as good as this one. I was not as impressed with the Jan. 28 presentation on Fox and almost decided not to buy this. Glad I reconsidered!!! Long Live 'RENT'!!!!

As a diehard Renthead, I was super excited when I heard that Fox was going to do RENT Live. I thought the cast was superb and LOVED Vanessa Ann Hudgens portrayal of Maureen! <3 And Valentina as Angel? I bawled when Collins proclaimed she was gone, and I bawled again once she appeared back on stage. You breathed new life into the character ❤️

Brennin Hunt, I love your portrayal and I am so sorry you were injured because I think had this show been live it would have been amazing. Jordan a different mark, but very good; except I missed the scarf!

The show is a masterpiece! God bless Jonathan Larson! The cast was Fantabulous! I cried over and over! I lost my partner last year. We both were on the frontline during the worst of the AIDS crisis we lost many near and dear to us! The message reminds us that friends will always see us through the tough times!

Love this production; I’m enchanted by Valentina’s Angel especially. I wish this had been produced “Live” in New York City, it would have been that much more meaningful, but it’s a strong cast.

With a few exceptions, this production (& recording) fails in almost every single way. You’d be better off buying the Original Broadway Cast Recording or the Motion Picture Soundtrack.

Why are a select few actually live and the rest are the studio version?

I see some people talking about how they wish the live version should have sounded like this, but this IS the live version but it wasn’t mixed and mastered which is why it took an extra week to be released and why it actually sounds good because it’s mixed. Anyways this is great! I love the way the songs sounds and the updated sound that they have. Amazing job and a GREAT cast!

How did Valentina get cast in this? Everything about her was just wrong for the part.....ESPECIALLY HER VOCALS! Literally cracked the ceiling in our home when she hit her last note in Today For You! Ugh!
