If you are gonna say “politics should stay out of music right now” if you’re not being political right now, you need to get involved. People are dying, money is being taken from the working class. The establishment politicians in our government are lining their pockets to buy yachts, champagne, and cheese trays.
The more you live with a fear of politics, the more power the elites have over your bank account.
I’m so happy how strong the message is in this album and how it goes hand in hand with the BLM movement. It’s crazy that Killer Mike somehow made his lyric in Walking In the Snow before Floyd died, but all the more it reveals the truth in what is happening in this country.

the star wars fan - Right album for the wrong momentEl-P and Killer Mike could not have predicted the murder of George Floyd or the national unrest that has followed when they were writing these songs, yet somehow they manage to create the perfect music for the moment. Equal parts social commentary, braggadocio, lightning bars, and bumping beats, it’s hard for me to see how any rap lover wouldn’t find at least some part of this album to love.

If you’ve like their last four albums you’ll probably like this one and if you don’t like them by know this one probably won’t change your poor taste in music.

Killer Mike has been increasing the spread of the shotgun spray of his progressive and fiercely independant social justice message for years now as well. All leading up to today's political warfield where world citizens have risen up in unison to take their disapproval to the streets. Run The Jewels is the soundtrack to this moment in time, and there is no duo better to strangle the old and usher in the new.
This just bangs straight up and down, and its a ride that all are invited to join.

When I saw that they dropped this whole album for free I snatched it up and gladly donated $20 to the National Lawyers Guild Mass Defense Fund. This whole album is fire from front to back. Great beats, great production, great features and great bars all done by two of the greatest in the game today. And to the bots and jackasses spamming the reviews with one star reviews, eat a dick and go back to your Drumpf rallies.

Chaz Hook - Awesome album - but buy it on the Run the Jewels website.This is probably my favorite RTJ album upon first listen and continues to be appreciated more. Hit extra hard in the context of current US event. The beats are great and the lyrics offer plenty to chew on.
