About Pegasus by Trippie Redd Album
Pegasus is Ohio rapper Trippie Redd’s third studio album and his second project of 2020, following the February 21st release of the deluxe edition of his November 2019 release, A Love Letter To You 4. The project’s name was first heard of on rapper SahBabii and Trippie’s Instagram livestream, but more officially announced a couple of days later on March 28, 2020. On April 23, Trippie announced on his own Instagram livestream that the album will release when he turns 21 years old, meaning the project will release on or after June 18, his birthday. After being teased for the first time in April, the album’s lead singe, “Excitement” with PARTYNEXTDOOR, was released on May 15. In an Instagram Livestream on June 13, Trippie gave a lot of information about the album; He confirmed it would have 25 tracks, and be split up into three genres/sections: “love,” “deep,” and hard.“ He also confirmed the deluxe to be Neon Shark, his long-awaited rock album. On August 18, 2020, the album fully leaked. Trippie complained about the frequent leaks of songs on Instagram Live, but promised he would still be dropping the album officially later in the year, with possible changes to the tracklist. On September 29th, 2020, Trippie revealed the official cover art. On October 7, the pre-order for the album was released, which revealed that the tracklist was the same as the leaked album. On the same day, Trippie also released “Sleepy Hollow”, after posting on Instagram that he would drop the song before the album if he got 50K comments a few days prior.
