- One of my All Time Favorite albums

I've had this album since 2005 and I still play it on a regular basis 4 years later, it's that good. The ballads "Bring Me Down" and "Greyhound Bound For Nowhere" rip out a piece of Lambert's soul and paint a painful, but beautiful picture. While "Kerosene" sparks the ideas of a burned lover. There are also a couple songs based on being young and having fun in "New Strings" and "Me and Charlie Talking". Lambert also offers up a sassy-sexy idology in the song "I Wanna Die".

Miranda's debut cd sets the stage for the 3rd place Nashville Star realit show runner-up. She is an outlaw, she is real country, she's got the goods - or does she? I am not fooled by ML's calculated persona that so many have fallen for. Her average voice and hit or miss albums have been rewarded with multipe album of the year awards, and honestly I do not know why? All 3 of her cds have about 2-3 good songs, the rest are filler. Add the auto-tune and slick production that covered up "Revolution" and you have a big sham, but a sham that her label has succesfully marketed and pushed for awards. In time, this album (like her others) will not age well since its built on "outlaw" posturing and an exagerrated twang. Some can be fooled, not me.

Kerosene by Miranda Lambert is a cool and important country album. Miranda is just one tough-as-nails chick, I love her attitude and songwriting. Kerosene, Me and Charlie Talking, and Bring Me Down were hit singles. There's A Wall is my favorite track here. Not a flawless album but very close.

I love love love Miranda Lambert. If you don't have anything nice to say about her music why bother posting crap on here? Miranda is genuine with her music. She writes from the heart unlike these lame pop wanna be country "stars". Everyone knows she won't take crap from lame boys. She has a beautiful voice and she is the definition of an amazing country singer. Definitely buy the album! It's worth it!

Every song on this album is flawless. Literally every song deserves 5 stars. I love all 12, I like this album more than I like her other album.

I remember thinking, as Miranda Lambert broke onto the scene in the wake of the public spurning of the Dixie Chicks for making public their disdain and shame for President George Bush, how much she sounded like Natalie Maines. Indeed, with radio-friendly tunes like "Me and Charlie Talkin'" and "What About Georgia," so close to the sound and tone of early Dixie Chicks, I felt she was designed to reclaim sales eroded by the Dixie Chick's maturation and eventual fall from favor. So, even though I have owned Kerosene for five years, I have listened to it sparingly. Then about a month ago, I was pulling together a playlist for my girlfriend to underscore her trip to CA, and I happened to click by mistake on "Love Is Looking For You" and, wow, was I surprised. Here was a preview of the poetic, musically clever and thematically introspective Miranda Lambert I've come to know and love. Since, I have given Kerosene a fresh listen and now have a far greater appreciation for the deceptive simplicity of Miranda's debut recording.

I've been a big Miranda fan since the first time I listened to this album. It's by far my favorite! "Bring Me Down" is my favorite song of all time! I love her last three albums too, of course, but you just can't beat this one! I always go back to it! I love every song on this album!!!

To all the haters out there....you stink! I mean did you people even listen to the same cd as everyone else. If you did then you guys seriously need to get your ears check if you think that miranda lampart is not talented....she is amazing and so is this cd....for someone as young as her I expected her music to be a little immature but i was pleasantly surprised to discover that her music is not only fun but very mature...so boomyah....keep kicking a** lampart!!!!

Kerosene, or paraffin, is a combustible hydrocarbon liquid which is derived from petroleum. It is widely used as a fuel in aviation as well as households. Its name derives from Greek: ฮบฮทฯฯŒฯ‚ (kฤ“rรณs) meaning "wax", and was registered as a trademark by Nova Scotia geologist and inventor Abraham Gesner in 1854 before evolving into a generic trademark. It is sometimes spelled kerosine in scientific and industrial usage.Kerosene is widely used to power jet engines of aircraft (jet fuel), as well as some rocket engines in a highly refined form called RP-1. It is also commonly used as a cooking and lighting fuel, and for fire toys such as poi. In parts of Asia, kerosene is sometimes used as fuel for small outboard motors or even motorcycles. World total kerosene consumption for all purposes is equivalent to about 5,500,000 barrels per day as of July 2023.The term "kerosene" is common in much of Argentina, Australia, Canada, India, New Zealand, Nigeria, and the United States, while the term paraffin (or a closely related variant) is used in Chile, East Africa, South Africa, Norway, and the United Kingdom. The term "lamp oil", or the equivalent in the local languages, is common in the majority of Asia and the Southeastern United States.Confusingly, the name "paraffin" is also used to refer to a number of distinct petroleum byproducts other than kerosene. For instance, liquid paraffin (called mineral oil in the US) is a more viscous and highly refined product which is used as a laxative. Paraffin wax is a waxy solid extracted from petroleum.
