Anything I have heard this choir perform has been absolutely amazing; no wonder they are world renowned. To hear them sing the songs that give me so much pride in my Country is both revitalizing and spiritual! Not only is this an amazing album but the power of the voices and the harmonization really makes it one of a kind, a very awesome & patriotic album for the 4th!

Mostly awesome, but it’s missing 1) Army Goes Rolling Along (Caissons doesn't count), 2) 2nd verse of The Star Spangled Banner, and 3) Semper Paratus (Coast Guard Hymn).

Anything that the MTC does is HOT!

I am happy this album is as good as it is, I am especially happy about Anchors Aweigh. I was in the Navy and I have never heard Anchors Aweigh on itunes with both verses being sung until now! and its sung so beautifully. Definately recommended if your a patriot.

If you appreciate high-quality music and have at least an ounce of patriotism for the United States, you will love this album. And to "Readyourbible" ... this is not to place to be spreading ignorant rumours about the Mormon church. In case you didn't know, it is more correctly known as The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. It is, as the name suggests, most definitely a Christian faith, in spite of the lies spread by haters who have nothing better to do than cut down one of the finest churches on the planet. Like my dear mama used to say: if you can't say something nice, then shut up and sit down.

Hey "Readyour...", The Church of JESUS CHRIST of Latter-day Saints and Born-Again Christianity may have their theological differences, but all questions of theology aside, you're buying a CD here, not going to church. The "Christian and Gospel" categorization of this album refers to the type of music being performed, not the doctrines of those performing it.

The Mormon Tabernacle Choir recordings run in my family since the 1950s with my Grandparents. God Bless America is a beautiful compilation of the Choirs' most powerful sound in honoring America and the people who served to protect it. The wide range of songs and sound makes this a special tour of USA History and remind us of our blessings. Bravo Mormon Tabernacle Choir! Their music if perfect for people of all ages.

Why was "Semper Paratus" not included? Does the Mormon Tabernacle Choir not like the U.S. Coast Guard? The Coast Guard is serving in Iraq!

The Mormon tab is a wonderful musical group and their hyms are moving. This album is no different from the rest. And the definition of a Christian-someone who believes in the teachings of Christ.
