About 1940 Carmen by Mon Laferte Album
1940 Carmen is the seventh album by the Chilean singer, Mon Laferte. The album was officially announced on October 4, 2021, making it the singer's second album of the year. In March I arrived in Los Angeles hoping to get pregnant (we had been trying for a year with my partner), we rented an airbnb and started treatment. The hormones had me very sensitive and the headaches were driving me crazy, so I started writing songs and I decided to make an album to focus on something else and not feel so much anxiety, I wrote and produced the whole album and I recorded almost everything in the airbnb (the address was 1940 Carmen, hence the name) this is the cover, it's a picture I took in the mirror, let's say selfie cover hehe, I love this album, I love doing things like I did when I was still an artist independent, freedom feels so beautiful. The song was released on October 1 along with its official video.
