About Thot Breaker by Chief Keef Album
Thot Breaker is one of Keef’s long-awaited projects, and is a follow up to Keef’s project Two Zero One Seven. Thot Breaker was originally announced on April 24, 2014 by Keef via Instagram, throughout the year he would announce other projects such as Mansion Musick, Dedication and Crashing Computers, Thot Breaker was also considered to be one of Keef’s most anticipated projects of that year. After Keef released the promotional single for Thot Breaker, “Now & Later” featuring rapper Tyga as well as "Money" in October of 2014, he mentioned the official release date of Thot Breaker would be Valentine’s Day 2015, and also mentioned that he would be postponing the release of Mansion Musick. When the project reached the scheduled release date of Valentine’s Day it did not drop, however, Keef released the track “Know She Does” as an apology to fans. Following the release of that song, Keef didn’t mention the project for two years until after his temporary retirement and his project Two Zero One Seven. Keef announced the project once again, this time via Instagram post with the caption: "FEB14. 2017." Despite Keef announcing this release, the project was delayed, however, Keef did compensate for not releasing the project, by releasing the single “Can You Be My Friend” February 24, 2017. Keef, again, announced a release date for Thot Breaker, this time being June 9, 2017. After this announcement, the release of this long-awaited project’s tracklist was posted on Keef’s Apple Music page, finally confirming the release of this project. Half of the songs on the project are self produced by Keef himself, but it also features production from CBMIX, Mike WiLL Made-It, Hollywood J, K.E. on the Track & his long time go to producer, Young Chop.
