About PLAN A by Lil Tecca Album
PLAN A is Lil Tecca’s fourth studio album, serving as the follow-up to his September 2023 album, TEC. Tecca first hinted at a new project shortly after the release of his third studio album, TEC — on October 11, 2023 he mentioned that new music was already being worked on: new album Tecca mentioned within an interview with Complex that he originally thought of the title Plan A, instead of TEC — although the name wasn’t used, he mentioned it potentially may be used for his next project: The only other name I had was Plan A. I feel like that’s my whole life. I just have plan A. I have plan B. I just go with my gut. But that can still be in the future. On March 4, 2024, Tecca would confirm via an Instagram story that the album would after all be called Plan A. Over a month later, on April 8, 2024, Tecca stated on Twitter that he planned on dropping two singles at the same time: number 2 + never last @ the same time fuckkit Ten days later on April 18, 2024, Tecca would announce the release date of the two tracks, being May 3, 2024 — upon release, the tracks were followed up with a joint music video, directed by jordiedotcom. On August 2, 2024, Tecca would announce the third promotional single, “Taste,” which would release one week later on August 9, 2024. Shortly after, on August 13, 2024, Tecca would hint at dropping his highly-anticipated track, “BAD TIME” which would end up releasing weeks later on August 30, 2024 as the fourth promotional single.
