- The one that started it all...

This will become your favorite album. The kind you can just press play and let it go on ... and on. This soundtrack put Harry on the national radar- his vocals shine on these classics. If you only have one HCJr album, this is the one,

- When will iTunes carry this movie for downloading?

I would "attempt" to ask iTunes in an email but they have set up so many anti-email hurdles; I guess they're trying to be more like Google or Microsoft, both of which are as warm hearted as IBM once was.

- NOT A SOUNDTRACK - Movie Music Sung by Harry Connick Jr

This is mislabeled on iTunes as a soundtrack. It is music from the movie as sung by Harry Connick Jr, who played and sang some of the actual film songs. I enjoy this album and own it but the iconic song of the film for me is "Let's Call the Whole Thing Off" sung by Louis Armstrong and Ella Fitzgerald. I enjoy Harry's version but I LOVE Ella and Louis. Below are the songs from the film, with credits, courtesy of Wikipedia. The actual soundtrack will have to bought one single at a time. "It Had to Be You" (Isham Jones, Gus Kahn) โ€“ Frank Sinatra "Our Love is Here to Stay" (George Gershwin, Ira Gershwin) โ€“ Louis Armstrong and Ella Fitzgerald "Don't Pull Your Love" (Brian Potter, Dennis Lambert) โ€“ Hamilton, Joe Frank & Reynolds "Ramblin' Man" (Dickey Betts) โ€“ Allman Brothers Band "Right Time Of The Night" (Peter McCann) โ€“ Jennifer Warnes "Let's Call The Whole Thing Off" (G. Gershwin, I. Gershwin) โ€“ Louis Armstrong and Ella Fitzgerald "Where Or When" (Lorenz Hart, Richard Rodgers) โ€“ Ella Fitzgerald "Lady's Lunch" (Marc Shaiman) "The Tables Have Turned" (Laura Kenyon, Marc Shaiman, Scott Wittman) "But Not For Me" (G. Gershwin, I. Gershwin) โ€“ Harry Connick Jr. "Plane Cue and La Marsellaise" (Max Steiner) (from Casablanca (1942)) "La Marsellaise" (Claude Joseph Rouget de Lisle) "Autumn In New York" (Vernon Duke) โ€“ Harry Connick, Jr. Trio "Winter Wonderland" (Felix Bernard, Dick Smith) โ€“ Ray Charles "I Could Write A Book" (Hart, Rodgers) โ€“ Harry Connick Jr. "The Surrey With the Fringe On Top" (Rodgers, Oscar Hammerstein II) - Billy Crystal and Meg Ryan "Say It Isn't So" (Irving Berlin) "String Quartet No. 7 in E-flat major" (Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart) "Stompin' at the Savoy" (Benny Goodman, Chick Webb, Edgar Sampson, Andy Razaf) โ€“ Harry Connick, Jr. Trio "Don't Be That Way" (Sampson, Goodman, Mitchell Parish) "Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas" (Ralph Blane, Hugh Martin) โ€“ Bing Crosby "Call Me" (Tony Hatch) - Billy Crystal "Don't Get Around Much Anymore" (Duke Ellington, Bob Russell) โ€“ Harry Connick Jr. "Isn't It Romantic" (Hart, Rodgers) "Auld Lang Syne" (Robert Burns) โ€“ Louis Armstrong

- Love Harry but where are the other songs from the movie?

I love Harry's version of It Had to Be You in the movie but the other classic songs as sung in the movie are missing. Why make such changes? Did you think no one would notice???

- Awesome

This is my favorite movie and my favorite cd. Slow, mellow, wine sipping music.

- A great album

Smooth jazz vocals. Great interpretations of old favorites. 25 years later still one of my favorites.

- This is NOT the movie soundtrack to When Harry Met Sally!

This is a Harry Connick commercial, not the movie soundtrack. I wanted the FRANK SINATRA version of It Had To Be You which was at the end of the movie, not a poor (and "jazzed up" substitute by Harry Connick). This should not be labeled as the movie soundtrack when it ISN'T! I am very disappointed. If you want to have it in ADDITION to the sountrack so people can choose, fine. But don't try passing this off as the soundtrack when it isn't. If I wanted Harry Connick, I would have selected Harry Connick. He's o.k., but I don't want a Frank substitute. I want FRANK!

- Only Harry Connick?

Can someone remember if there used to be some other artists on this album besides Connick?

- Wish it had the other artists

As much as I enjoy Harry Connick, Jr., I am disappointed that this album doesn't feature the songs being performed by the artists used in the film (Louis Armstrong and Ella Fitzgerald, for example). I love those performances, and I think the soundtrack would have benefited from them (not to mention it would be more representive of the movie).

- When Harry Met Sally - correction

Mea culpa - I was confusing the soundtrack from Sleepless In Seattle, which includes some Harry Connick, Jr., cuts, with this one. As a previous review mentions, this is all Harry Connick, Jr., versions of original soundtrack cuts.

- Give it time

Expected the original artist but after a few plays really enjoyed this version also helps that I enjoy harry con jnr and loved the film, great songs great singer cannot go wrong...

- What a CON-nick

I love When Harry Met Sally. What's more i love the excellent soundtrack with it's ever cool, ever smooth oldies. But this is not the soundtrack. It's a Harry Connick Jr compilation. It's a complete con.

- no score

Well its a harry con compilation, but one could ask...Wheres the score? as its not on here. so i am just off to the Deli to fake a happy ending?

- Great!

When you realise you're buying Harry Connick, Jr you'll love this album.
