This album is a delightful mix. I discovered it by accident, and am happy I did. It has a lively beat, the lyrics are hysterical. Overall it is a fun listen. My 14 year old son loves it, and while some of lyrics may be a bit much for most kids, he thinks they make a case for not drinking to excess, rather than encourage it. Go figure.
I love this set! It feels as though it strengthens comradery with your friends, and just fun to sing along.

This songs are mostly all pretty good. Moutain dew is my favorite.
these songs totally rule!!! But Mountain Dew is by far the best song on the albulm, but all of the songs are great.

Gets me drinking everytime
I purchased this album over in 1995 and have never regretted it. I play it frequently. My daughter quotes from it. It has the right touch of mirth, humor, and catchy tunes. My favorites are "Whiskey in the Jar", "Beer, Beer, Beer", " Water is Alright in Tay," and "Tim Finnegan's Wake."

Irishman here. A finer collection of Irish drinking songs you'd be hard pressed to find; This album is a fine buy if you're needing a bit of extra hop for your St. Patrick's Day hops.
Pretty good album
OK so this album is not only slightly more expensive via itunes music store, it is also cursed with Digital Rights Management (DRM) and only 128 AAC. You can buy this online via Amazon for .11 less, 256K bps MP3 (which admittedly probably is not much better than 128 AAC) but with NO DRM! Who would buy this from itunes when Amazon offers a better deal? Poor Apple, bending over for Sony once again.
These songs make my hair redder and my beer greener! I would have to guess that i Iike The Clancy Bros. a bit more than The Dubliners, but they are both excellent groups!
