Every track rocks. There is not a bad or weak track on this collection. With sixteen tracks it is also a great bargain and just pure fun to listen to. Definitely Chrissie is one of the great female vocalists of all time and she is out front of a super tight music group. A health tonic, feel good rock and roll album.

Love this Album. It's a classic.

Suffice it to say that rather than picking apart the history of the band, I feel this band is incredibly important and somewhat under appreciated. Her melodies haunt my dreams and waking hours. And that vibrato makes me all emotional. Hell, I tear up when I hear Karen O of the Yeah Yeah Yeahs singing like her! This collection is a great place to start but I think the band's whole discography is rock solid.

Love this album brings back so many memories. My sister had this in her bag when she moved back home in the early 90s and I just loved it

you know, i'm only just getting into the pretenders, but i really love what i've heard so far. this a great album with a lot of catchy songs... but not the sort you get tired of. i'm finding that a lot of songs that don't have very popularity ratings are actually really good, like don't get me wrong and hymn to her. anyway, this album rocks!

THIS GROUP IS THE BOMB !!!!!! THEIR THE BEST EVER OF THE 80'S !!!!!!!!

This is a great disc. Some of the best late 70's and 80's Progressive/pop/rock came from Chrissie H. and Company. Chrissie carries every song whether rocking with her sultry voice or softly serenading us. Her unique sound was a trademark along with the jangling guitar sound and trademark beats that plastered the FM charts for most of the 80's. Almost everything here is good. I would have swapped out one of the slow tunes for My City was Gone, though each of the ballads are good, and spotlight her voice. Kid, Day After Day, Message of Love, Back on the Chain Gang, and Middle of the Road are Favorites. Brass in Pocket was one of their biggest hits and Don't get me Wrong was a catchy later 80's hit. All of it is good...

I WAS SO EXCITED TO FIND ALL THE BEST OF THE PRETENDERS ON ONE CD!! THEY SHOW US WHAT REAL ROCK AND ROLL (NOT HEAVY METAL) SHOULD SOUND LIKE....I WAS ALSO NOT TOO UPSET WHEN A BAND MEMBER LEFT TO FORM ANOTHER GREAT BAND "SIMPLE MINDS", I HOPE THE NEW GENERATION WILL GET TO EXPERIENCE THEIR GREAT MUSIC...I HAVE A FEW FAVORITES., BRASS IN POCKET, MESSAGE OF LOVE, BACK ON THE CHAIN GANG, BUT LOVE THEM ALL!! CAN'T GO WRONG BUYING THE WHOLE ALBUM!! WE MISS YOU PRETENDERS!!! YOUR FAN AND MANY MORE I AM SURE....

Good collection but it is is missing my favorite of theirs (possibly my all time favorite song), I'll Stand by You.

I've had it since around 1987 and it is a classic. Except maybe for the UB40 duet. But everything else, classic.

Another classic from the 80's, incredible vocals, if you lived through the era then you loved the Pretenders, just a great band. Get the whole album and listen to it until the "tape" wears out!

This group is extremely underrated. They are currently touring with The Who and almost every song in this record is excellent. They had a lot of range and her voice is powerful.

Pretenders have so many great songs And so many here i would switch up for some earlier-day classics. Still, it’s wholly enjoyable from beginning to end.
