This album is worth every cent paid. 100 songs for only $12, its a bargain. Great songs many of them a little older (1990s- to early 2000s) but if you want to learn what trance is or already love it, this is for you. Great mix of songs that work great for dancing, parties, work, etc. Great Album.

I thoroughly enjoyed the music but I found that there were large blank spaces at the end of many of the tracks. These are sometimes more than two minutes long and can been a pain if I am unable to open the itunes window and skip ahead to the next song..

At the begenning i thought is was the greatest deal ever 100 trance tracks for 11 dollars , but not really from all 100 tracks only 2 or 3 are worth it, 97% of the songs are from the early ages of trance (1995-1999) I'm not saying is bad, i'm saying is way way too old for this time, if your are into ARMIN VAN BUUREN,PAUL VAN DYK, TIESTO, or all the great trance is been played today around the globe i have something to say "Please keep looking, save your money"

This is a sweet spot. I see there are some mixed reviews about the earlier trance aesthetic. If you ask me, newer trance is totally different because is tends to use what I call “trance noise,” which consists of a wash (a wall, if you will) of sound, that can be pleasing at times, but ultimately detracts from the beauty of the original intent of trance. Those guys: van Burin, Tiesto and others, they tend to be watered down. In contrast, this album offers a good collection of clean, crisp mix of “unmuddied” sounds and rhythms. Enjoy while you still can.

i agree....these songs do sound like their from the 90's. I hate old music like that!

How could anyone who loves trance not get this? 100 songs for this cheap a price should not go overlooked, dancers! So what if they're from 1999 or something? It's a great buy of great music. Get it. Listen to it. Love it. :)

I am currently training for a marathon and have been bored by typical "workout music". The album is long and upbeat. I would highly recommend it for anyone who is looking for great music to run to.

As other reviews have pointed out, this compilation has a lot of older Trance songs. You can definitely hear a difference between this album and Volume 2. In general, these songs sound a bit more "electronic" (buzzing "saw wave" synth pads and crisp, digital drum tracks are the norm) while the newer albums feature songs that seem to have a more textured and musical feel to them. This is a good set; however, and it's definitely good for dancing or exercising. I don't think you can beat the price of 100 songs for around $12 (at the time of this writing). Plenty of good tunes in this set and definitely worth the price! At the time of this writing, there are now 6 volumes in this series. They are all a bit different from each other and all are good! You won't find a better deal on music!

First of let me start by saying I LOVE TRANCE!!!!... There is an old saying " You get what you pay for" or " If it sounds to good to be true...."... Both of these apply to this series of albums... 80% of these are just endless loops put to a drumbeat.. It is definitely a lot of B-sides, and older, non-dancefloor, clubmix.. I found myself constantly skipping to the next track, thru sheer boredom at the dull music.. There are some redeeming tracks.. But definitely... DEFINITELY!!! no where near the Trance top 100.. That title is very misleading.... Great for workouts, or to play in background music, for social get together or gym.. But if you are looking for mixing music for your set or some crazy top 100 trance hits, go somewhere else.. By the way.. Top 100.. Where is ARMIN????

this is a great collection. Indeed with some older (classic) trance tunes but I also found new trance tracks on this compilation. If you love trance you need to buy this one
