For those of you looking to just buy “Be My Baby” by the Ronettes, if you just search the song title the exact same song will come up where you don’t have to buy the entire album. Personally, the Dirty Dancing movie and soundtrack are both some of my favorites and I think they’re both amazing, so I have no trouble jet buying the soundtrack.

I love the the movie and the album doesn't disappoint. It's even better now that I know Patrick swayze sings she's like the wind. It definitely puts you in a good mood.

One of the best soundtracks ever created!!! I can listen to this over and over. For all people wondering where the rest of the songs are, there's another CD out there, part 2 with the rest of the songs from the movies. I know b/c I have it. This is the "original" soundtrack. Nothing is missing.

Okay, first off... for those of you who want the additional songs not on the original soundtrack, you need to locate the follow up soundtrack called MORE DIRTY DANCING. (It’s not on Apple iTunes as far as I can tell.) For those of you who think “Be My Baby” should be solo, well, don’t know what to tell you? Maybe listen to the whole soundtrack. If you like that song, give the rest a try. I first owned the soundtrack on cassette, then bought both the original and MORE on CD, and now digitally through iTunes. Dirty Dancing was the first movie I remember seeing in a theater—a dollar matinee nonetheless. This soundtrack, the MORE soundtrack, the movie, and all those part of the creation of the film freaking rock. If you don’t LOVE it, don’t buy it. I absolutely love this movie and most of the soundtrack. Patrick Swayze definitely surprised me, I didn't know he could sing! Also, a lot of people are complaining about not being able to buy "Be My Baby", but it's available on the anniversary edition of the soundtrack for $.99.

Every day I still miss Patrick, but his legacy of acting, dancing and singing will live forever in everyone's heart who loved him! God has gained the best angel up there and Patrick is watching all of us watch his movies every time they come on and when I listened to his song "Shes like the wind" in my car today I could feel him watching and smiling! Great album, but the recording is way to low! Wish I'd bought the remastered version instead of this one. Beware!

I bought this on cassette when it debuted - cost was $14.95!! It was 1987 and this 16yr old kid saved three weeks worth of allowance to buy it!! Those were the days...... Around 1 or 2 months later "More Dirty Dancing - The Soundtrack" came out. Since the first one did not have the song Cry to Me (why I wanted the soundtrack in the first place) in the track list I had no choice but to buy More Dirty Dancing - on cassette I might add. Cost was little cheaper but you gotta remember these were purchased when the movie's popularity was at its peak. And "Cry to Me" was on More DD. Its funny that today the cost is 11 bucks and I need my reading glasses to view the track listing. I enjoy the music and hope others do as well. God Bless.

Saturday night at karaoke. I decided to do something a little out of the ordinary.By singing a duet with someone.The song was from the film Dirty Dancing.There is this scene when everybody gathers for the final dance at Kellerman's and the two characters dance the Pachanga.The song is I've had the Time of my Life by Bill Medley and Jennifer Warnes.I sang the female part and this talented man sang the male part.It was my first try at duet singing and everybody enjoyed it very much.I had butterflies in my stomach.Hopefully.I will get the opportunity to do it again sometime soon. The move has always been my favorite movie since I was 9. You don't get acting like this anymore. Classic good ol acting. Patrick Swayze was a cutie in the move. Actually in all movies lol. A good compliment to the movie is this soundtrack.

I love all of these songs, but a lot of people keep saying this is a rip-off since you can't get an individual song without the buying the whole thing. All you need to do is look up the song and buy it through the artist. Unless it is made for the movie songs are always available without buying it through the soundtrack such as, "Be My Baby".

"I’ve had the Time of my Life” This song always reminds me of all the good moments I’ve had with my wife, it really should speak to the soul of anyone who has that special companion in their life, (that is hopefully, if their still together) I have the song "hungry eyes" another amazing song as well, this whole album is great to have from anybody’s musical perspective and patrick r.i.p. was the man and I love his movies.

Dirty dancing is my all time favorite movie, not only because of patrick swayze's out-of-this-world gorgeousness, but also because of the soundtrack. Truly a classic, timeless film that everyone should see at least once in their lifetime!! Now I...Had...The time of my life.....🥰

This is The Original Soundtrack, if you want the Kellerman's Anthem, etc you need the 20th Anniversary Edition. If you want 'Be My Baby' by the Ronette's, get it from their actual album, don't berate iTunes for their practices. This is a great cd.

BE MY BABY: I know a lot of you are mad that the only way to get "Be My Baby" is to buy the hole album, but honestly all you have to do is search either "Be My Baby" or "The Ronettes" and the song comes up. The only difference is that it's from The Ronettes' album, but the song is exactly the same. You're welcome.
