Great album only wish he was here

A song that is not on the traditional EP playlist but an awesome rendition none the less. You can sense that Elvis is really enjoying singing this song as it builds, beginning light heartedly enough but then just taking off. E is really showcasing the pipes hear. Lots of emotion and one of his best. He's the king!!! Enough said!

I really enjoyed the music on this album. I enjoyed listening to the different songs that I had never heard by this artist before. I would recommend this album to people who are real Elvis Fans.

The collection of songs in this set really exemplifies Elvis at the peak of his vocal and interpretive powers. He was no longer sining travelogues for Tom Parker and free to explore his own tastes in country, gospel and pop. The arrangements and backing musicians give Elvis a new and broader platform that will surprise listeners who laugh at the caricature of the jumpsuit era.

So I have been buying Elvis box sets and albums to have in my music collection because I am a completist who didn’t think I ought to overlook the King of Rock and Roll. Before this, I never listened to Elvis, so I honestly didn’t think I would be that impressed with a box set of Elvis’ 1970’s material. Boy was I wrong! This stuff rocks! It’s truly the bomb.com! I cannot recommend it highly enough!

This is simply the greatest collection of music in one box set ever assembled. If Martians were threatening to destroy earth and we had to give them one thing to prove we were worthy of existence, this would be it. If in 2012 the world is destroyed, and this is all that is left, we can rebuild civilization from it. If...you get the point.

I love Elvis Presley I am a huge fan and these are some of his best songs. All of his songs are amazing he has such a deep and soothing voice it makes you love whatever song he is singing :) -Samantha :)

Definitely imitated. Often duplicated. NEVER replicated. Elvis is, THE undisputed King of Rock n’ Roll. He had it all. Charisma. Talent. Looks. The voice. The moves. Elvis’ worst enemy was his own fame. Regardless, NO ONE can hold a candle to Elvis.

When I purchased this boxed set in 1995, I was expecting it to be consistent with the fifties and sixties boxed set collections with them having a logical measure of completeness and in chronological recording order. I really dislike the way the music is arranged on the discs and leaving some studio tracks off on this collection. True, none of the studio material ommitted is anything most fans would miss, but, and this is directed at BMG RCA, if you are presenting a comprehensive collectible series of boxed sets of one of the most important people in Rock and Roll history, then be consistent and complete! Give us everything, good and not so good. Leave the live performances out and just give us studio material for this boxed set. To correct these issues, I burned my own CD's with the ALL the material and in chronological recording order thanks to i-tunes and it's personal playlist options.
