this soundtrack is so disjointed. Never saw the film... don't care. But the soundtrack just doesn't gel. The highlights here are Pumpkins and Mutemath, for sure. It's nice to have a relevant soundtrack that isn't a score, but take some notes from Last Action Hero or something. Makes a lot more sense.

If you were going to put a HIM song in the Transformers soundtrack...why pick Passion's Killing Floor? That is the wrong song for a Transformers movie. The better song to use would have been Wicked Game or Join Me In Death.
i really only like one song, and it is "What I've Done" which is pretty much the only song i remember from the movie. and for those who are looking for the score, it is here, and it is amazing.
I don't remember any of this music from the film. What is going on? If you asked this, these songs played in the credits, but that's it! I love the score better because sometimes I love listening to music without lyrics, but that's just me
Just like the film, this is the best album of the trilogy. Great collaborations of genres are presented on this album, and even includes the iconic theme song remixed to suit the modern, live-action movies.
There are only three songs on this entire album that I somewhat like. The rest are utterly forgettable or so bad I can't even get through them. You want a Transformers album, go download the score by Steve Jablonsky. That's actually good (and here on iTunes).

I only really like the Linkin Park song. I'm not saying the others are bad I'm just saying that Linkin Park is more my style. I remember Linkin Parks song being in the movie but not any of the others. They should have actually used Idiot Pilot's Retina And The Sky in the actual film but that's OK. It is my most favorite song on the entire album as well as What I've Done and This Moment.

I'm sorry.. usually a lot of these Artist's are pretty good.. But, These song's don't work for the Transformer's! It did for "Bayformers", but not the actual Transformers… And the "Transformers Theme"? BLEGH! That was probably the worst Transformers theme EVER! The G2 theme WAS BETTER THAN IT.

I had to rush out and buy this one as soon as I saw the artist (and because it was Transformers) and I was less then impressive. Good bands, but not their best work and I had been hoping for original work by (more of) them. Oh, well.

this is an awesome soundtrack, especially the theme. its hilarious! oh my god, oh my god, ok, ok. wow. no friggin way. this is hilarious. its like, i cant even describe it. woot woot! but i love how technoish and cool the theme sounds. ive never heard of mute math before, but with this song they are pretty awesome. i also loved the movie. "is this what the kids are doin these days? a little bit of mojo?" one of my favourite parts. anyway, great movie with great actors, (Shia Lebeouf),= great soundtrack with great bands. so, rock on mute math. i still cant get over how funny that song is. really its, its so incredible. i hope you are finding this helpful. what ive done is pretty good too. please say this review was helpful, because that makes me very happy. and i dont mean the theme is funny in a bad way, i mean it in a good way. i mean it like, listen to it a million times and never get over it. so i suggest you buy the theme. its amaZAzing.

MuteMath does an awesome job of the Transformers theme song, turning a pseud-kitschy tune into a feeling, living song. Well worth the 99 cents.
I loved the movie, and a lot of that was the epic instrumental and symphonic music that backed it up. This collection is good, and these songs helped the movie out too, but wheres the actual music that backdropped the entire movie? So as an album maybe 3 stars, but if its the soundtrack from the movie, why not include a proper sampling?
This has got to be one of the best soundtracks I've bought. The songs on here are awesome-many bands that often don't get the attention they deserve are on here (H.I.M., Mute Math and Julien-K being some of them). This is an amazing soundtrack, I'm really glad I bought it.

Seriously that "Technical Difficulties" By Julien-K sounds disturbingly like Pitchshifter...it's freaking me out. Listen to Genius by Pitchsifter, It's also one of the mortal kombat soundtracks. You'll see what I mean. Do it. C'mon meow!
A pretty nice lineup of artist, I intially thought this was going to be such a tribute to Optimus Prime!! I really liked "What I've Done" (even though the music video was likea cheap version of U2 vertigo) and I dont mind listening to the "Transformers Theme". Most of the other songs are pretty second- rate, they lack the catchy-ness to become hits. I dunno, that's my opinion. As for the Transformer Theme, you either love it or hate it it seems- I listened to the 80s one then the Mute Math version and I have to say I like the older version more, it has so much spirit and "presence" compared to the mute math version, which i think i would like more if i was not a fan of transformers.
Saw the movie last night, and it rocked, then seeing the bands, and songs they lined up for this, man, just awsome sound, and it fits perfectly with the movie. although the Mutemath remix might have changed the theme, it fits with the movie perfectly.

As soon as I heard the artists that were going to be featured in the transformers soundtrack, I got really interested in purchasing the soundtrack ( via Itunes, CD, whatever) as soon as I got it the tracks in the soundtrack matched the movie quite well. The songs that caught my ear were Passions Killing Floor by HIM, Pretty Handsome Awkward by The Used, End of the World by Armor for Sleep ( good track I love the intro to the song) and obviously the Transformers theme by Mute Math ( I dig the techno electronica deal with their rendition of the song) each track seems to have a purpose, you can either rock out with a song like This Moment by Disturbed or mellow out and chill with a track like retina in the sky, or chill with you significan other with a track like Before It's Too Late by The Goo Goo Dolls slows down the pace and the rest of the other tracks mesh together to go with the theme of the movie. I think its a must have soundtrack. But really do you really care about my opinion, just keep an open mind and check the soundtrack out. You just might like it
Ok, I'm not against Mute Math, but I just listened to the clip of the Transformers Theme, and the song was all wrong. This is what happens when the wrong people are given a song to redo. The should have got someone who plays like it's the 80's, like The Darkness (although they may have messed it up too). This is one song that REQUIRES heavy synth, and this song had too little synth, and in all the wrong places. Again, i'm not bashing Mute Math, but they were the wrong guys to do this song.
ROCKS!!! I am not a transformers fan but a fan of Mute Math. When I heard they were chosen to do the theme song for the movie I thought it was so perfect for the band! I hope all you transformers fans will become Mute Math fans too!!
I came into the movie theatre thinking it would be a bunch of geeks sitting around with their nintendo's in their backpockets and their mothers numbers written on their hands BUT as soon as the movie started I was blown away. Not only was the movie good but there was something about the soundtrack that lifted it above amazing. The music is great, its deep, modern and has a mature facing up to our own consequences theme. One of my favourite soundtracks of all time!

Where you guys in the right cinema?? the movie was so rushed. As is the casting of this soundtrack. you'l listen to it once and put it on the pile. Good ambient music. nice and unassuming, nothing that stands out.
The movie went above and beyond all expectations! It was awesome! The Special FX will certainly recieve and Oscar nomination. As for the Soundtrack - This is mint. With Linkin Park receiving the honours as the closing track to the film. Coupled with Smashing Pumpkins, Goo Dolls and The Used -you've got a soundtrack even 'Soundwave' would love to pop into his chest! GO SEE THE FILM AGAIN!!!
It was a pretty good movie. This album does not particularly hold up the movie but has a few good songs anyways. I think they've done a great job on the movies and the music just helps it along. The second one has better songs and more of them but both are good.

This isn't really a soundtrack album its a collection of songs that where used in the film, their ok if your 16 but I want the actual instrumental score because that was the best I've heard all summer Warner Bros should release another album. A real SOUNDTRACK ALBUM

The film blew me away and the music really set it off, the only thing that's missing are the instrumental tracks from the film that really grabbed my attention.
The film was awesome and Mostly layed down to the soundtrack. The ony thing missing from the album is the selection of instrumental tracks that were in the film. Composed by steve jablonsky, they definatly should have been on the album. Go watch the film if u haven't. The best ive seen this year!
