One of the greatest albums in features.. Has some of the best features in the south. They definately tear up this album in every single track..
This is a good album. The Art Of Storytellin' Pt.4 is by far the best song.Buy it!
best songs is 5000 ones, art of story tellin 4, taking pictures, aye & 187
I wouldn't say he's a stunna yet..... but he hot. He laying down the right tracks with the right people. He goin at big.. it will be interesting to see what his next album like. But that said i'm feeling a few tracks on here. Keep it Gangsta, Takin pictures, and Talk bout me.
All kinds of styles on this album. Worth the bread.
good cd but cannon doesnt sound the same, but the intro and preludes were cool. kno that this isnt a real mixtape its more like khaled on steroids ya feel me
he got everybody on this album
Normally, im not one for supporting mix tape cd's becaue i like to support artist that can make more then one good song. But as you know, when songs are exceptional, i'm the first to review. I only looked up this album because when i was searching the radio stations on he itunes main page to see what one to put on my ipod, i heard a fabulous song by Yo Gotti, Webbie, And Lil Boosie called Keep It Gangsta. It was the most phenomonal song i've heard in forever, and i swear i actually recieved some of my hearing back from going deaf hearing all those lame artist. What a coincidence that i have all three of those artist's cd's. And i notice how they only put the best of the best artist together. Like one song has B.G. and project pat together. Now thats music. I cant believe the following words are coming on the computer sreen...but..... support ..dj drama.
This is an instant classic. A must buy! Enough said.
Andre 3000 started the song off with the truth didn't he man that's why i love outkast he pull the reality out of every scenario . . .An I love Big Boi flow . . . Killed it
tells you how much the itunes crowd knows about gangsta grillz when they say wat a stupid name for album its a mixtape series stop cryin about how hip hop is dead soulja boy,dj unk, chingy are the ones killin it this is rap.
OUTKAST FEAT. MARSHA GOT THE BEST TRACK. HANDS DOWN.
I'm not feelin this kat I think he's just a wanna be Dj Khaled Datz Real Talk
worth it for the Art of Story Tellin alone. Andre 3000 I don't know if he wrote his verse or free formed it but it's the best lyrical rap I've ever heard -
Gangasta Grillz gives you pretty much whatever you're looking for as far as awesome beats, different styles and good lyrics. I would give it 6 stars just for having the track feat. the Clipse, very nice.
You all know that DJ Drama and Gangsta Grillz mixtapes are the dopest mixtapes on the scene! "The Album" is not quite as potent, but it does not disappoint. He has a few older tracks here but still has a little something for everybody. "5000 Ones" will probably be the lead commercial single. In my opinion, the hottest song here is "The Art of Storytellin' Pt 4." Andre 3000 absolutely destroys this track!!!! Happy Listening. GANGSTA GRIZZZILLZ!!!!
great album Dj drama did his best on this one
No matter your taste in rap your going to love atleast one song and play it over and over and over
About time this album came out on itunes...I had 5000 ones for months b4 this came out. Nelly was alright, Jeezy and Joc were pretty decent. T.I. made this song tho. Its 2 bad he got under house arrest b4 the video was made...speaking of that...when is the video coming out?
Since DJ Drama has destroyed many mixtapes for me I will rate this extremely low
Ayo for anyone thats havin doubts about this one first thing I say is you need to know and appreciate who DJ Drama is and what he has done for the Hip Hop and music industry. Also take some advice from a fan who actually went and bought the album from the store when it was 1st released. Personally I love all of the Gangsta Grillz series and Drama has yet to disappoint. His stuff has substance and is way better than all that Snap, Pop, Swag nonsense you hear on the radio these days. So if you are a real Hip Hop fan you came to the right place! 5 stars
The best compared to other D.J. albums. The collaborations are genius. Outkast makes a "oh, sincere" back to the mic. Definitely worth the money. If you don't like the caliber of the performances, than love it for the art and versatility of all the tracks. Amazing album! Enjoy!
All Dj Drama"s CD are nice but this one's the best. Nothing but fire.
drama fire

DJ Drama's new album is one of the best mixes I've heard in a while. Buy this album today.
Having been on his grind for many years now, DJ Drama a.k.a. Barack O Drama a.k.a. iPod King a.k.a. Mr. Thanksgiving a.k.a. T.I.'s DJ is finally here. With many mixtapes with southern stars, his well known Gangsta Grillz, he brings the official album. Feds Takin Pictures: After two skits, Lil' Jon bragging about Drama, and a skit about the racketeering charges, this is the first cut. Repetitive chopped hook, Dame Grease produces a decent track, that bangs decently, as the guests tear it up. Jeezy adds a decent performance, Willie The Kid flexes his skills, Jim Jones brings his typical "Ballin" routine. Ross & Buck add decent performances, but its T.I. who ends up on top of the track. 3.5/5 Keep It Gangsta: Solidified southern producer Mannie Fresh brings an excellent beat that fits the mood and feel of the topic. Lil' Boosie, Webbie & Yo Gotti all feature some raw flows and the track is right in their zone. Church bells, heavy snare patterns and horn line, back up Gotti's cold flow, Webbie's southern accent and Boosie's raw whiny flow. Solid track. 4/5 Cannon Remix: Lil Wayne spits staccato flow with a decent verse over Don Cannon's horns and simple drum beat. No hook, straight bars, Willie The Kid adds a decent verse, as Freeway shines and a solid T.I. verse. 4/5 Makin Money Smokin: A unique Lil Jon production, this track features AMG artist Willie The Kid and older brother LA The Darkman. It's a decent banger. 3/5 5000 Ones: Over extremely radio friendly production of triumphant horns by Jazze Pha, this "Make It Rain" track was the first single. T.I. rides the beat exceptionally well, as Nelly sings on the hook, Diddy ad libs, Joc brings his typical nursery rhymes, Jeezy & Willie The Kid bring average verses. Twista flows nicely. 4.5/5 The Art Of Storytellin' Pt. 4: Cannon produced, legendary duo Outkast appear with some crooning, courtesy of Marsha Ambrosius. Andre 3000 shines with an excellent verse and shows truly why he's one of the best lyricists. "she asked me why in the club you don't make it precipitate, you know make it rain while you can make it thunderstorm, I'm like why? The world needs sun, the hood needs funds, there's a war going on and half the battle is guns, how dare I throw it on the floor, when people are poor, so I write like Edgar Allen to restore." Big Boi also has a solid performance. 5/5 187: Drumma Boy's bouncy organ line and snares back up this gangsta cut. Project Pat was okay, the hook is average, as 8Ball & MJG shine with nice verses. 3/5 Beneath The Diamonds: Light keyboards effects and string lines back up Twista's flow that works nicely. LA The Darkman's verse sad to say, wasn't good, but Devin The Dude's laid back flow fits all too well, making him worth the listen. Solid track. 3.5/5 Talk Bout Me: Wasn't feelin the bouncy production, it just didn't flow that well and Buck's flow sounds forced. Cliched hook, Banks & Yayo don't add much either and this G-Unit track is a skipper. 2/5 No More: Khao's piano laced beat, with synths that build, Lloyd croons his soft voice on the hook and has a heartfelt hook about the struggle. Willie The Kid has a solid verse and T.I. does his thing about his pastime. 4/5 Throw Ya Sets Up: Repetitive hook, over an eerie beat filled with bass by Neo Da Matrix. Yung Joc's verse was decent, nothing great, same with Willie The Kid, its Jadakiss' punchline filled verse that highlights this track. 3/5 Aye: The Runners bring some bass heavy production that has a club feel to it. Grand Hustle artists, Young Dro & Big Kuntry King are featured here, with the banging production, but ends up being a forgettable track. 2.5/5 Grillz Gleamin: Average beat by Lil Jon, Bohagon, Lil Scrappy, Diamond & Princess all spit average verses. Overall the track is a little too sparse and doesn't have that club gangsta feel, but ends up being an uninspired attempt. 2/5 Gettin Money: Mr. lee's laid back production is nice, as Paul Wall, Slim Thug, Lil' Keke & Killa Kyleon come together for an H-Town collab. Smooth hook, this is a nice track about gettin that paper. 3.5/5 Cheers: Decent Pharrell verse, celebratory Neptunes production that is the most playful and fun track on the album. Pharrell handles a decent hook, as the Clipse continue to show why they are so underrated spitting some incredible bars. Nice cut to end on. 3.5/5 DJ Drama's Gangsta Grillz: The Album, has a very big mixtape feel. Except with an all star guest list and some sick cuts. First of all, we'll begin with the hottest track, "Da Art Of Storytellin' Pt. 4" that features some crazy lyricism from Andre 3000 and a worthy Outkast performance. Another highlight is the Neptunes celebratory "Cheers" with Pharrell & Clipse, proving that the Clipse are highly underrated and a feel good joint. Those two tracks are the most lyrical, but now for the gangsta bangers. "Feds Takin Pictures" features a repetitive hook and solid verses, creating a strong street single. "5000 Ones" is enjoyable and all, featuring good verses from T.I. & Twista, however gets a little old after more than one listen. "Cannon Remix" wasn't bad, fairly good considering Freeway & T.I.'s verses, however it would have knocked it out with a solid Lil' Wayne verse, instead of a decent one. "Keep It Gangsta" is one for the streets, extremely raw. "Beneath The Diamonds" is smooth, "No More" is the emotional track and "187" is a decent hood cut. Skippers include "Grillz Gleamin" & "Talk Bout Me". Solid album, that should satisfy the streets. Rating 7 out of 10
YO, THIS ALBUM MEET MY EXPECTATIONS. MOST DEF PURCHASE GANGSTA GRILLZ THE ALBUM. SHOUT OUT TO THE WHOLE AMG! LA THE DARKMAN AND WILLIE THE KID (LETS GET IT!) ONE!
Good
You need to take one hour out of your day and listen to this. DJ Drama took the fall for Hip Hop (when he got arrested), so supporting him is supporting Hip Hop. And oh yeah also shout out to the home boy Don CANNON!!!!
MR. Thanxsgiving did again. Great album Drama. From the beginning to end this album was on point.
Why isn't this album available to purchase? This is crap I'm Stationed in Africa and I can't get this CD over here. This is how you do the military itunes. Good job!!!!!!
5000 Ones is one of my favorite songs to date. I love everyone featured in it, and recommend it to anyone who is willing to spend thirty seconds to listen to it. Song to Get: 5000 Ones (feat. Nelly, T.I., Diddy, Yung Joc, Willie the Kid, Young Jeezy, & Twista)
ALBUM SPITS FIRE FROM BEGGING TO END AND GOOD TO FINALLY SEE THE MIXTAPES HES BEEN MAKING TO BE AN ACTUAL ALBUM
Its finally here! I've been waitin for this for a long time. "DJ" Drama is T.I.'s DJ and he brings tons of beats of all sorts, some that rival Swizz Beatz, etc. This album shines through out the whole album and it covers all kinds of hip-hop, not basic crap that's out now. Even with the great beats, the guest list for this album is incredible!: T.I., Young Buck, Young Jeezy, Willie the Kid, Twista, Yung Joc, Diddy, Jim Jones, Rick Ross, Lil Jon, OutKast, Big Kuntry King, Young Dro, the whole BME click, Paul Wall, Lil Keke, Slim Thug, Pharrell, and More! You must buy this! It'll be worth every penny!
Not every track on this album is a hit, but the majority of them are. This is a good enough album to buy.
this album is great.Top songs: "5000 Ones", "Talk 'Bout Me", and "Keep It Gangsta". I think everybody does their thing on ths album. nice job drama
From cover to cover! This is album is an example of the way it should be done! Even the fillers are good. Can't say enough; props DJ Drama/AMG.
This album is straight fire!!! Best song on the album is The Art of Storytellin' Pt. 4.
This is probably one of the best albums of the year. Only down fall is that Drama didn't get UGK, otherwise it's a 4 star rating. RIP Pimp C
This Cd is on Fire!
This album is the bomb. Drama took a fall for hip hop and stands before us stronger than ever. Keep up the representation! However, too many skits, which cost it a star.
