The genius of Randy who was taken tragically too soon from us, shines on this album. For $9.99, there are few investments one can make to a music collection that would be better than this gem.
This was a particularly inspired time for Ozzy Osbourne and it shows in droves on this remarkably timeless live recording. Just off his stint as lead singer of Black Sabbath, Ozzy regrouped as a solo act with a new band and most notably Randy Rhoads, who might deserve as much credit as anyone for getting Ozzy's solo career off the ground and running in the right direction. These are classic songs in the genre and the renditions here are simply fantastic, rippling with energy and vigor. This is what you get when you mix great songs, a masterful guitar turn by Rhoads and Ozzy just coming into his own as a vocalist. For any music fan this is a must-listen.
Gone to soon... RIP legend
If you had enough money for only one Ozzy album, this should be the one you buy.
randy sounds better live than in the studio, really.
What els can I say? 💪❤!\m/
I’m a kid who thinks Randy is the goat at this live performance he must’ve thought he was the best
One of the best live albums I've ever heard. At 9.99 you can't pass it up with its amazing guitar solos and drum solos.
Randy Rhoads was a great guitarist, and this album features his greatest live. His best song on this album, in my opinion, is Suicide Solution.
Ozzy once stated " usually a guitar players guitar is just an extension of their penis, with randy it was an extension of his body."
these songs are all faithful to the originals, but they are all completely different too. if you like the ozzman already, you'll love him now. i mean, these are ozzy's best songs on steroids. that guitarist, what's his name? i think it was Rhoads, or something... well, let me tell ya, great musician. these songs are good.
Truthfully, I actually like the live version of Crazy Train than the actual Blizzard of Ozz version and Randy Rhoads is one of the best guitarists ever. Too bad he had to die in a plane stunt. I put him right up there with Eddie Van Halen and Jimmy Page. He is a guitar GOD!
One of, if not the, best live albums ever made hands down.
Not just one of the best live albums ever. It Is THE best live album ever. RIP Randy
This record, along with Ozzy's first two solo albums were so pivotal. I was 10 or 11 when Blizzard came out, and well into my teens when Tribute came out. I think everybody I knew owned the Tribute album when it came out. It was the album that everybody took really good care of, and was usually a prominentaly displayed part of your record collection. You never saw a ratty looking copy of this album. And this was still in the days where you went to your friends houses, just to listen to records. And this was literally required listening for just about all American rocker suburb kids. Just like everyone owned Peter Frampton Comes Alive, in the 70s.... This was the hard rock holy grail of the 80s. It still holds up against anymeasuring stick you care to use. It is superb in just about every way. This came out several years after Randy's death... and was an immdiate classic. I bought the record, which I immdeiately recorded to cassette for my car stereo. I bought the first cd pressing. I had the t-shirt and a Tribute patch on my denim battle jacket. I was a drummer myself in those days and was a huge Tommy Aldrige fan as well. You just couldnt beat that record. I wore it out back then and still revisit it quite often today, and I'm almost 50. I recommend owning a physical copy of this gem... but stay away from the Sony/Epic remaster, it has editing and sound issues. But all other versions are pretty good.
Randy rules! Probably my favorite guitarists! Great album!
Great live album!! Randy is great! I would love to see ITunes release Speak of The Devil. The live album Ozzy did after leaving Sabbath.
Man, he's the greatest guitarist in the entire world of history! This is a great album because this is like the original riffs and add-ons of Randy. Zakk Wylde is great and all but his style doesn't fit my sense of liking, but don't get me wrong he is skilled. But Randy is sooo awesome to me! R.I.P. Randy Rhoads
No words can describe how phenomenal this recording is. It was a Godsend when it was 1st released, and a timeless treasure now & always. For many RR and Ozzy fans who lived though the tragic accident and suddenly lost their young hero, this album is hallowed ground. Tread lightly young ones.
His guitar wizardry speaks for itself. Randy Rhoads was truly one of a kind RIP.
Quintessential example of the greatness of Rhodes and Ozzy’s magic. When I get to heaven if Crazy Train isn’t playing I will know I didn’t get there yet.
It all sounds great, but clearly obvious that this was all redone in the studio with the crowds dubbed in. And it's no secret that it's typical of a live Ozzy album. But Randy is brilliant and such a tragic loss no matter how you look at it.
Every 10 to 20 years you find in your life ONE extraordinary GENIUS like Randy, Just imagine if he is still around, MIND BLOWING
And I am still rocking out to it! Fantastic album, and guitar work by Rhoads. The highlight is the second solo on Mr. Crowley.
Greatest metal guitarist, only 25 years old when he died only what might have been
Randy Rhoads SHREDS on guitars here. Awesome live concert!
One wickedly good set!
What more to say???
No one will ever be better than R.R. was. This album proves it. Get it.
This album got me into playing guitar and it continues to be the album I turn to for great guitar playing!
Yes, this is a showcase for Randy, as it should be. However, the whole band is hitting on all cylinders . Put on the head phones, close your eyes and be transported to an incredible time in rock n roll.
What can you say , a brilliant album that documents the brilliance of Randy Rhoads a talent taken away to soon .
Rip randy we love you!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I put Randy Rhoads up there with Hendrix, and Van Halen. Rhoads Rules

What a tragedy that Randy died so young. Just listen to this album and you realise he had talent by the truck load. Sadly missed but will be forever remembered as a true guitar genius, and from what I've read and watched about him a gentleman as well. RIP
