- Changed me

Before I heard this I hated live albums. Once I heard this and saw the new songs and the greatest of rush history on it it changed how I feel about live albums. Go Rush!

- Like a complicated timepiece, Rush begs to be heard live

People talk about the near one-to-one ratio of studio to live cd's. I have noticed that in the past as well. Here's the way I see it. Rush is a live band, first and foremost. Their whole bent is toward producing their sound live. As such, my favorite Rush cd's are all live. I need to hear drum and guitar solos! I don't even buy the studio cd's. I was very pleased by the effort and passion thrust into this performance. I am blown away by the musicianship of this trio! Most bands have to simplify their music for the stage, but Rush seems to excell at presenting their music in all it's complications. Rush is like a Patek Phillipe, I want to see it running, with the back off. I want to hear the clockwork spinning.

- Better Than Ever

This is certainly Rush's best live album ever. Geddy's voice sounds better now than it ever has. The fact that he had to pull back on his higher vocals adds new depth to the songs. Now, I'm only in my mid-teens, and even I know that anyone would be hard pressed to find a band that sounds as good live as Rush. I dare say it might be impossible.

- XD

This was my favorite tour

- Another home run

Rush nails it again. Circumstances, Entre Nous, between the wheels, natural science. Awesome album. Haven't heard a bad one yet, but this one is amazing. These guys never miss a note.

- Xavier Thomas

First of all most people that go to a Rush expect perfection and guess what...It usually happens. The Snakes and Ladders Tour was bigger in scope and in audience than the R30 Concerts. Xavier Thomas as an example knows nothing about this group, stick to your lip-syncing boy bands, dude. They probably get your heart pumping. From a true RUSH Fan.

- eeh

I attended there concer about a month ago and i thought it was great except for all the snakes and arrows stuff the classics were great but not the new stuff

- Great Band Live, Great Drum Solo

Just saw them live in Philly this past Saturday and it was electric. The drum solo was awesome (it is a part of Malignant Narcissism) and that alone is worth the $19.99 for this album, though still doesn't beat seeing it live. See them live before they decide to stop playing, you owe it to yourself. BTW, how does Neil Peart not faint when doing his drum solo, it's amazing

- Because we really care about RUSH

That's the answer to "why another live album?" I saw this live show last year in Chicago and this year in San Juan, Puerto Rico and this cd (and dvd) is the best way to remember this whole experience of a Rush live performance. They can release 100 live albums and we will buy them, we don't care if it's the same songs on a different venue. We are very grateful they're still giving us their best. This guys are playing better than ever before and this album proves it. I'm a fan since 1976.

- Best Band EVER!!!

Obviously I'm a HUGE Rush fan,so all that aside, they are seriously the most FANTASTIC musicians you will ever see live. This was their BEST tour so far that I have seen (this was my 3rd)...so this album will be no exeption to the rule. That is the "Rush Rules ALL and EVERY album is their BEST!"...rule :D Buy every Rush album you can get your hands on, including this one! You WON'T regret it! :)

- Rush Does it Again

I saw Rush's Snakes & Arrows concert May of 2008 and their music is as good as ever. This live album is worth it for those who have seen the Snakes & Arrows tour and especially those who haven't!

- I Love Rush

I saw them both times that they came to Pittsburgh during the Snakes and Arrows tour. They are so good live and this album is a testament to that.

- My favorite Rush tour.

I have been to the 3 most recent tours and while they were all amazing, this one was my favorite.

- Repeated listening just keeps getting better!

I own practically their entire library, yet I keep coming back to this compilation. Repeated listenings reveal new surprises and nuances. If I owned the vinyl version of this CD, I would have worn down several needles and worn the grooves out of the vinyl! :-) Neil, Alex and Geddy have a musicianship that is still tight, even after all these years and the gap where they didn't record and/or tour. It continues to blow me away. Having the good fortune to see this show live just makes listening all the sweeter. I am looking forward to their next new CD, although I cannot see how this one can be topped. Keep on rocking, RUSH! Thanks for the great music!

- The Larger Question

When are the folks at the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame going to realize they've left out the #4 top album selling ROCK band of all time??!!!! Come on folks it's WELL OVERDUE!!! PUT RUSH IN THE ROCK & ROLL HALL OF FAME!!! THEY'VE EARNED IT!!! RUSH FOREVER!!!!

- I Was There!!!

Its Awesome...ps I Was There!!!

- Snakes and Arrows

Incredible live album and live show. The new music hits you in the chest, yet won't let your mind stop thinking. Rush is one of the very few bands originating in the 70's and gaining popularity through the 80's, that is producing strong, energetic, and creative music. I so thankful they still work hard to avoid becoming a strickly golden oldies band. Nothing sadder. Besides, Rush's oldies are better than everyone else's.

- Still sound great.

I saw them 2 times this week Monday in CT and Friday in NH!!! They still rock!

- Quite the show

Their live recordings seem to have actually gotten better as time's gone by. Lee's bass playing is now beginning to top the level at which John Entwistle was at the pinnacle of his career. Peart is still, indubitably the best drummer in circulation, and Lifeson's guitar work is quite impressive. As is the album. From the teaser intro of "Limelight" to Peart's reworking the drums at the beginning of "Spirit of the Radio", this live album is on par, and may even surpass, such live epics as "Exit... Stage Left". And in throwing in songs which had yet to appear on an album, such as ''Entre nous" and "Witch Hunt", they make this album a must have for any of Rush's hoard of fans .

- I LOVE RUSH LIVE!

This album is a perfect example of why rush is the best live band ever! Every fan of rush should at least have part of this album!

- Rush live with strong NEW material

I've been a Rush fan for almost fifteen years now. I don't mind saying that not all their studio efforts are equally accessible, or even enjoyable. I didn't like _Vapor Trails_ much, and I haven't listened to _Test for Echo_ in almost ten years. _Snakes and Arrows_ is their best collection of songs since _Roll the Bones_, and the crowd at Albuquerque Journal Pavilion last night shared the band's enthusiasm. They can play it any way they want, and more often than not, they perfectly reproduce the parts played on the studio albums. But there's something about live Rush that isn't there, aside from the crowd noise, on a studio record. Obviously, there's a lot of overlap between Rush live albums, because basically the world wants to hear _Moving Pictures_, _Permanent Waves_, and a few other pet songs. That said, there's a good smattering of songs that aren't necessarily loved by AOR radio formats - "Mission," off _Hold Your Fire_, "Between the Wheels" from _Grace Under Pressure_ - that sounded all the more amazing for not being one of the five or six songs you expect to hear on Rush live albums.

- Irivine Meadows' 5-11-08

I saw the Snakes & Arrows show last night which was basically this set and it was absolutely a work of Prog. Rock Perfection. Neil Peart was even more amazing than I have ever seen in past shows. The rest of the band didn't miss a beat either. I highly recommend this album (Live) to anyone who follows and appreciates it for what it is. "Perfection"!!!! The DW Drum Kit Neil plays now is one of a kind groomed to sonic perfection. #1 drummer plays the #1 Drums in the world!!!!!

- Rush song

Yyz is the best song I have on my iPod right now and it is my favorite song

- Very Best Of Rush

Once again, I'm not offending other Rush albums that weren't too good, I don't mean it by putting down all of their hard work, deleting a few songs, no matter what the band has written from past to present, just as long as well it's good so far, and I understand Rush did their finest work up to date now!!!

- and YET......

This awesome band is not in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. If you look at some of the one album wonders who ARE in the hall, it's truly obscene.

- Top 3

The top three songs are 3. The way the wind blows 2. Limelight 1. The spirit of the radio.

- Total rip-off

I can't think of another band that exploits its fan base the way Rush does. First, they are not that hot of a live band--unless you think that exactly reproducing studio cuts is the height of live rock performance. There's not really any reason for them to be churning out these live albums (unlike, say, the Grateful Dead, who, like them or not, vary their approach each night and do a lot of improvising). (That said, kudos to them for improvising on Malignant Narcissism, the funkiest cut they've done in ages, or ever.) Really, Rush: More live versions of Limelight and Tom Sawyer? Aren't your retirement kitties big enough? The amazing thing is that their fan base has narrowed remarkably over the years, so it must be the same people buying these same-sounding live albums over and over again.

- Absolutely as good as ever....

Just saw this concert on their 2nd part tour (July 22, 08, Atlanta). It was awesome to see them again. These guys make it look so easy to do what they do. Having S&A Live in hand is a great reminder of a terrific show.

- Go Rush!

Man this is a good album! I saw this tour and it was fabulous, probably better than the studio Snakes & Arrows itself! Man... Limelight is so good and Far Cry was stupendous. If you had to buy two songs those would be the ones to get, but the whole album is good... you should invest in this disc.

- RUSH IS SO AWESOME

This band is the best. It tops Maroon 5 and Duran Duran and Coldplay. I love those bands too but Rush is DA BOMB

- Best live Rush ever recorded

Sound Quality is the best Rush has ever recorded

- Undoubtedly the best band of all time!

I'm 14 years old and I was lucky enough to go to both the 2007 & 2008 Snakes and Arrows concert, and man what a concert! They may be an older band but, there's just no band out there that can rival RUSH's amazing sound. Modern bands just seem to lack some of the quality that RUSH has. Absolutely amazing guitar, drums, bass, lyrics.....what more could you ask for from a band!

- OUTSTANDING RECORD!!!! An Absolute Classic!!!

What a pleasure to listen to these guys over the 34+ years! Can any band get a better sound out of a live concert better than Rush? Alex sounds incredible... Geddy, in a league of his own.... And Neal... OMG!!! The talent this band has is endless! Three of the best musicians on the planet, hands down! The quality of this record is amazing! Crank it up... sit back and take it all in! I've seen these guys 9 times over the years. I am 47 years old and I will continue to see them! Thank you Rush!!! Keep on rockin'!! You're the best! - (Chicago, IL)

- They are missing a song

they are missing 2112 i saw this whole album and 2112 in moline, il last night and they are missing 2112 in here so please itunes put it on this album

- Live and still Alive

Unlike other "Older" bands Rush still has the ability to make their music sound great live. Part 2 of Snakes and Arrows tour is must if they are near to your city.Looking forward to dvd release, searching for Easter eggs.

- simply the best

this band still rocks and is in its prime, i went to the concert and it was amazing

- Best live album

I have decided that this live album has the best sound quality(by a lot) and also has a fantastic set list. It is a must buy

- Rush is the best

I honestly love Rush it is the best, I love Workin' Them Angels it is hard to get it out of your head after you sing it once or twice.

- Rush

This is one of the superlative bands in the world! If you never been to a RUSH concert you haven’t been living! This is one of the best bands to see live! Been a fan since Roll the Bones tour 91” Thanks RUSH!

- Flawless As Always!

It seems to me that every time Rush puts out a new live album it just keeps getting better and better! Alex was right on, and Neil, you know, was Neil. He's not the greatest drummer in history for nothing.... Geddy was great but his voice has lost that 70's-80's edge he had. Can't complain though, he is getting old, and his bass was sounding awesome. I saw them in Milwaukee back in early September and they blew me away. These guys are around 50 years old and still rockin'. I'm 15 years old and Rush has been my favorite band since I was 7, and they will still always be. Keep kickin butt Rush!!!

- A Must-Buy!

I got to see Rush twice on the Snakes and Arrows tour. July of '07, and June of '08. This CD is the basically same show I saw on the first leg of the tour. They actually sent me the CD as a gift for buying tickets to the second leg. This show concentrates on Snakes and Arrows, which itself is a great album. Rush almost always sounds better live than in the studio, this CD is no exception. I like the Snakes and Arrows stuff a lot better here than the studio version. There are a few surprises here. They brought back Digital Man, Circumstances, Entre Nous, and Witch Hunt. All of them sound great. As well as the old standards, like Freewill, Limelight, YYZ, and Passage to Bangkok. Subdivisions is their best-yet performance of that song. I liked Stewart Copeland's comment about all of the available versions of Tom Sawyer; Neil's solo on this song was the best yet. Neil's drum solo (following the Snakes and Arrows instrumental, "Malignant Narcissism") is very different from previous solos. He is still one of the best drummers around. In fact, Geddy Lee is still one of the best bassists, and Alex Lifeson is one of the best guitarists. These guys have, in many ways, gotten better over the years. Sound-wise it is fantastic, a true testament to the advances in live audio recording and mixing. This album is a must-have for longtime Rush fans, but also created some new ones, notably my 13 year-old son. We took him and his buddy to the concert, now this album is always on his iPod.

- The Test of Time

What does it take for something to become classic? In my opinion has to stand the test of time. Amidst all the fads and flash in the pan one hit wonders, RUSH has maintained it's itegrity and focus time and time again. Just cracked open the BluRay supporting this album and at the cost of sounding redundant all I can say is "EPIC". How amazing that these three guys can attain this level of performance while making it look like a walk in the park. The sound, the HD cameras, and the look and feel of the concert experience are simply...well you know. The 'all good things' axiom is a bittersweet reminder of father time; but by the look of things I'd say our friends from YYZ will be enlightening us for several more years. As long as they're having fun, I'm coming along for the ride.. 'Entre Nous'

- Modern Classic Rock

Classic Rock has fallen from the limelight. Bands like Aerosmith and Guns N' Roses just can't keep up with the modern rockers currently dominating, like Protest the Hero, Dragonforce, The Killers and Panic at the Disco. Rush, as their name would suggest, however, can. This album is primming with pure Rush greatness, and it quite possibly the greatest live album ever released by any band ever. Snakes and Arrows was good enough, but the live album takes it all a step farther to become even better than the studio version. Wether you want the short, sweet pleasure of "Hope" or the unbridled glory of "Tom Sawyer", this album has enough for everyone. Everyone should at least give this album a listen. To all the pop rock devotes, though, I might want to warn you: You're entering classic territory.

- Spectacular!

Great sound quality! Best ever in any Rush live album. Geddy's voice is dead-on on this one, best it's been in years. Sounds like all of the songs should! Perfect for any diehard Rush fan like myself! :)

- Excelente

Excelente grabación que reproduce fielmente el tour snakes and arrows 2007 al que pude asistir en west palm beach fl. compra garantizada de inmensa satisfacción

- Rush...Snakes And Arrows

This live album is so awasome and i love every song on this live album and i love how they played Digital Man i love that song i was happy to see it on this album and i was happy to see Entre nous they really never do that song i was really happy that they played most of there songs off of Snakes And Arrows. I Love Malignat Narcissism i am listing to it right now and the drum solo is oh my awasome i think it is my favorite drum solo neil does. im a drummer so i can play every Rush known to man not bragging. i want to learn how to play the bass like geddy!!! and it would be fun to learn how to play the guitar like Alex but thats impossible for me at least so click yes if this is helpful trust me you don't have to!!!!! great live album geedy, alex, neil.

- Excellent work!

I was able to see them last year when they played in Irvine and it was amazing! Just hearing these songs brings me back to that warm July night last year. They sound just as good live as they do recorded, which often times is not the case for some bands. They are excellent musicians and I hope they continue making music for years to come!

- Good Concert, but...

This is a good concert, but in my opinion, Rush is goin a little crazy with the live albums. I can understand Rush in Rio, cause that was their comeback tour, and R30, as that's their 30th anniversary, but this album I don't believe was needed. Buy only if you're a die hard Rush fan.

- Great Concert, Bad Recording

Let me begin by saying that I am a hugh Rush fan and attended the concert in Boston last June where they totally rocked. My sense of the Rotterdam concert is that the band played well but I am disappointed in the overall recording of the concert. There is a serious lack of clarity and a great loss of depth in parts of a number of tracks which is a real pity since I think the band really nailed the concert(s). Though I am personally disappointed with the recording process it is still a solid effort by a fantastic group that just continues to bring it.

- Still Amazing Live

I saw Rush on the "Snakes & Arrows" tour and was thoroughly impressed. This is an album worth owning. Their new material is some of the strongest they've done and it sounds great live. "Workin' Them Angels" & "The Main Monkey Business" are standouts off of the new album, while classics like "A Passage to Bangkok" & "Natural Science" rock the house. Most impressive is the first song of the encore: "One Little Victory". This song comes off of the Vapor Trails album and was Neil Peart's return to Rush after his terrible losses between '97 & '98. You feel the power of a man who has been through it all and has the courage to keep going. Truly inspiring! Rush is one of the all time greats!
