- Best broadway movie ever!!!

I was waiting for this album to come out! The orchestra truly does a magnificent job, and Lea Salonga has a beautiful voice! I am so glad that it was finally released!

- Such Good Memories!!!!!!

Amazing!!!!!! Just listening to it brings back the wonderful memories of when my school did this and I was the cat! We had all become very close. Especially me and Cinderella. We would always talk backstage and have so much fun during rehersals. Oh how I miss it!

- Lea Salonga is AMAZING!

Lea Salonga always puts other vocalists to shame! Her hauntingly beautiful rendition is such a treat. I cannot understand why people say they want Brandy? Brandy is a pop singer. Cinderella is truly for musical theater performers and vocalists. Lea Salonga is just perfect, as she is in many of the roles she has wowed audiences with (Kim~Miss Saigon, Eponine~Les Miserables, Fantine~Les Miserables) not to mention her beautifully voiced Disney Princess performances for Jasmine in Aladdin and Mulan in Mulan. If you love Lea Salonga and musical theater, you must own this album!

- A Lovely Recording

Lea Salonga does it again with a beautiful interpretation of a beautiful story. I especially love "There is Music in You" -- perfect for her voice. Cinderella has never sounded so great.

- :(

When I looked this up, I expected to hear the Brandy version. This is ok, but not what I was looking for. I will buy the songs when iTunes adds the other version.

- The other version...

I prefer the Brandy and Whitney Houston. Their voices are stronger and they put more...magic in it for lack of a better word. Please put THAT album up itunes.

- Cinderella

I like this version but I must say the one with Brandy, Jason Alexander, Whoopi Goldberg, and Victor Garber is better. Not bad at all.

- Good but could be great.

I liked the lyrics of the cd but I prefer the strong, emotional voice of Whitney Houston. If you could put that Cd up here, I'd buy all the songs! But besides that these songs were okay. Get Whitney Houston's cd and they will be even better.

- Cinderella

Classic Baritones are hard to come by in Musical Theatre. Peter Saide has one of those voices that make you pay attention to nothing else... A real find. A wonderful CD of a classic score.

- Cute and Rememberable

This year's musical peoduction and we as a cast are just in love with the songs. They are adorable and truely convey the magic of Cinderella. The movie version of Rodgers & Hamerrstein's Cinderella is incredible also. Howver, this broadway version of the tour is near perfection in the vocals. It is strong and powerful.

- Eh.

I was hoping for the songs by brandy but I suppose these are just as good. Also I'm upset that the song "I fell in love with love" is not here.

- The great one

I think the is great I saw the play I loved it ansome this is great. Keep doing this later.

- wow!!! but...

why can't they have the ones with brandy and whitney?? besides that, its perfect!!!!

- Very Good Soundtrack, but i wish....

I love these songs, their amazing and this soundtrack version is Great! :) but i wish they would have the version with Brandy as Cinderella i miss that movie, it was also GREAT!! :)

- OMG :D

i love this movie....and the songs are great.....although it would sound much better with brandy and whitney singing them,

- LOVE THIS MUSIC!!!!!!!

you will never hear anything like rodgers and hammerstein's. they wrote the best music. it is romantic and so beautiful!

- Truly magical...

I loved this soundtrack as much as I loved the original movie soundtrack. I rarely like later recordings. I usually stick to original cast rec but this is too good to pass up. Lea Salonga's gorgeous voice, Charlie Parker's strong vocals and the wonderful orchestration, what more can you ask for? The new orchestrations are simply wonderful. I'm glad they included the song The Music In You, rarely heard, which is a pity because it is such a great song. Loved Lea's version of A Lovely Night. Peter Saide (The Prince) did really well too. Kudos to the orchestra and their conductor (who, I think, is Lea's brother)!

- Finally found it.

So im in drama club and were doing cinderella. And i want to be cinderella.so for out audition we have to sing this song and we can choose the second one.i can eait.i really hope i get the part.

- 1997 Recording is Preferred!

This is a pretty good recording, but I know I speak for most iTunes users that a release of the 1997 ABC soundtrack with Brandy and Whitney Houston is WAY overdue and even more anticipated! Christmas is coming, give us something we really want!

- Love it!

I love this album! I grew up watching the 1965 version of R&H's Cinderella and didn't quite like the version with Brandy and Whitney Houston, so this album is great for me! I remember rewinding the VCR over and over so I could listen to A Lovely Night:)

- Memories come alive

This cd is amazing the voices of the singers are clear and ring out, also the music is true to the original and that is part of the magic behind it.

- The Best Production of "Cinderella"

I originally was looking for the 1997 TV production of "Cinderella" starring Brandy as Cinderella and Whitney Houston as The Fairy God Mother but I stumbled upon this and EUREKA! I love it! The Best "Cinderella" soundtrack ever!!!

- Better than the recent Broadway cast

I think the singers sound more genuine here and less like caricatures of “a fairy-tale princess and prince” like they do in the more recent Broadway cast recording. I got kind of sick of that tone with them, so I actually went looking for a different recording of this, and I love this one. Lea Salonga is great.

- Love it like the first two CBS versions!

Those that keep referring to the Whitney Houston and Brandy version of Cinderella probably never heard the original 50's CBS version with Julie Andrews and the 60's version that appeared on CBS annually for many years with Leslie Ann Warren. For me, this soundtrack is more in the broadway tradition than the Disney-fied version with pop stars like Brandy and Whitney. I guess it's what you remember. This version brought me back to some very fond childhood memories. It's nice to see a musical with such a universal appeal span many generations. Hopefully, the children of the parents that enjoyed the version with Brandy as Cinderella will enjoy this one as much as the great grandchildren of those that remember Julie Andrews in the lead role.
