- Excellent but underrated album

I personally think this is a pretty good album but what made this something I would purchase is having the hit singles, say you will, heart turns to stone, can't wait, inside information, once I listen to this album for the first time I personally thought it was an excellent album mainly for the vocals t to former lead singer Lou Gramm Who has basically made foreigner excellent, but my two favorite foreigner albums would be 4, and this album so I do definitely recommend this album

- Good singles

I had this album when I was a kid. It was good for 3 songs-Heart Turns to Stone and the two hit singles. Overall a lackluster album probably due in part to the fact that Graham was spreading time and probably material between the solo and group. Still, 3 good songs is better than zero.

- Sad to see the end of the classic Lou Gramm era.

An album that sounds a bit melancholy at points isn't entirely a coincidence, considering the tension that had by now built between vocalist Lou Gramm and guitarist Mick Jones. Even though it would be another three years before the enevitable actually happened, the tension and sadness of this album is indicitive of the eminent departure of Lou Gramm. The album's second track, Can't Wait, perhaps sums up the situation within the Foreigner camp at the time of this album's release. The consistency of the record, not surprisingly, also suffers. The problem with the album is, like 1979's Head Games, is that it sounds like nothing more than a group of poorly recycled previous Foreigner songs. Other than about maybe half of the album, it is nothing but bland and repetitive. Still, there are solid tracks such as Heart Turns to Stone ( one of my absolute favorite Foreigner tracks) and Say You Will, both of which are excellent, classic Foreigner. Can't Wait is also a respectible track. I Don't Want to Live Without You, even though it is very beautiful, is basically a recycled combination of I've Been Waiting For a Girl Like You and I Want to Know What Love Is. Inside Information is also a good track, different from what one would expect the group to do. Everything else is worthy of saving your money on, and worthy of the AOR slush pile. Still, more upsetting, is the departure of Lou Gramm, he was such a great singer, and the music Foreigner made with him on board is, in all honesty, the only true Foreigner music that exists, and Mick Jones would have been better off doing what he could to keep Gramm in the group instead of letting his own ego get in the way.

- From Driving Rock To Keyboards

Lou Wasn’t Happy At This Point …. Mick Was Turnning To Keyboards This was The Downfall Album

- Classic - One of their best.

That first review by RAG is so far from reality. This is one of their very best releases.

- stood the test of time...

i don't want to live without you. i am forever grateful to have been exposed to music that had meaning..and talent.

- Itunes wrong-- AGAIN

Once again, the true music fan should ingore the snarky Itunes goon review and enjoy the music in this fine album

- "I Don't Want To Live Without You" is a single edit

While this was a decent Foreigner album I don't like the fact that the only version of "I Don't Want To Live Without You" is the edited single version instead of the original album length version, it does have some great songs like "Say You Will", "Heart Turns To Stone" and "Out Of The Blue", the low point was the title track, I've thought that song was an embarrassment to their career and that song makes me cringe

- Love this album!!

This was one of their best! Lou gramm, hit this one out of the park! That voice will live on!!!!!! Thanks Lou!!!!!!

- Edited song?

For those who want the actual album version of “I Don’t Want to Live Without You”, go to Amazon Music, where this album is available unedited. Love you iTunes, but come on.

- Very under rated album

My last favorite album of theirs

- My favorite

This is my ultimate favorite Foreigner album. It brings back so many great memories of the late 80's.

- Incorrect version of “I Don’t Wanna Live Without You”

iTunes needs to be made aware that the version of “I Don’t Wanna Live Without You” included here is the edited single version, not the full length album version.

- Going through the motions

An okay album. Lousy cover, tho. This album has more hard rock songs than it's predecessor and more guitars but there are also more synthesizers. Low points include the title track and the ultra boring ballad I Don't Want To Live Without You, which became a hit, of course. My two favorite songs are Can't Wait, which has a terrific chorus, and the album's closing cut A Night To Remember, one of the heavier songs here. Elsewhere it just sounds like Foreigner going through the motions. I actually loved this album when it first came out and I have some fond memories associated with it, but I don't love it as much now.

Inside Information Wiki

Insider trading is the trading of a public company's stock or other securities (such as bonds or stock options) based on material, nonpublic information about the company. In various countries, some kinds of trading based on insider information is illegal. The rationale for this prohibition of insider trading differs between countries/regions. Some view it as unfair to other investors in the market who do not have access to the information, as the investor with inside information could potentially make larger profits than an investor (without such information) could make. However, insider trading is also prohibited to prevent the director of a company (the insider) from abusing a company's confidential information for the director's personal gain. The rules governing insider trading are complex and vary significantly from country to country. The extent of enforcement also varies from one country to another. The definition of insider in one jurisdiction can be broad and may cover not only insiders themselves but also any persons related to them, such as brokers, associates, and even family members. A person who becomes aware of non-public information and trades on that basis may be guilty of a crime. Trading by specific insiders, such as employees, is commonly permitted as long as it does not rely on material information not available to the general public. Many jurisdictions require that such trading be reported so that the transactions can be monitored. In the United States and several other jurisdictions, trading conducted by corporate officers, key employees, directors, or significant shareholders must be reported to the regulator or publicly disclosed, usually within a few business days of the trade. In these cases, insiders in the United States are required to file Form 4 with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) when buying or selling shares of their own companies. The authors of one study claim that illegal insider trading raises the cost of capital for securities issuers, thus decreasing overall economic growth. Some economists, such as Henry Manne, argued that insider trading should be allowed and could, in fact, benefit markets. There has long been "considerable academic debate" among business and legal scholars over whether or not insider trading should be illegal. Several arguments against outlawing insider trading have been identified: for example, although insider trading is illegal, most insider trading is never detected by law enforcement, and thus the illegality of insider trading might give the public the potentially misleading impression that "stock market trading is an unrigged game that anyone can play." Some legal analysis has questioned whether insider trading actually harms anyone in the legal sense, since some have questioned whether insider trading causes anyone to suffer an actual "loss" and whether anyone who suffers a loss is owed an actual legal duty by the insiders in question.
