My favorite album

What a beautiful song. I used to love this when I was little, but I think I love it even more now :'3

Thankful is Kelly Clarkson's first studio album after American Idol (which she won in the first season). Thankful overall has some pretty good tracks. You get a fresh start on the album with "The Trouble With Love Is" which has kind of a calm feel to it, & has kind of a R&B feel to it too, which makes it a good introduction. Then you have "Miss Independent", the first single on the album that's the more poppy side of the album, where she can have her wittiness. Anyways, you get through some more of the album, which is pretty good, i expected better, but it's good enough for a first album. But an upside to Kelly is that her voice can go so high that sometimes it beats the fact that the album really isn't that great, Thankful is good for a first album, but she's gonna have to up her game a little more next time.

I remember when I was younger, before I got my own iPod, I would listen to this on my mom's mp3 literally ALL DAY. I still love it!

I love when Kelly Clarkson really used her voice in her singles Before Your Love, Miss Independent, Low, A Moment Like This, and The Trouble With Love Is. I think this is an album you should buy if you don't have it. I even bought the album!

She is amazing! She in one of my fav singers! Truly talented and this cd proves it.

Kelly Clarkson has been my favorite singer since I saw her on Idol way back when. This is the album my grandma and I would always listen to...especially Miss Independent. That's one of the best songs on here, along with Moment Like This. She is a gorgeous singer, and never stopped being one. I love her <3

Kelly Clarkson has a voice that's unique. It comes out strong and clear, and my personal favorite from this album is "A Moment Like This", with which she won on American Idol. She continues to be successful, even going into the country genre. Her singing style can vary, and personally, I like her voice. She's my favorite female artist and I'm planning on purchasing this album, as well as Breakaway. Great job Kelly, and keep up the great work!!

I'm not big on Kelly's RnB side, but this album was actually very good. 1. The Trouble With Love Is - Amazing vocals. Very 90's ballad-ish. Great lyrics and chorus. - 9/10. 2. Miss Independent - Classic 2003. Amazing vibe and melody. Amazing vocals! Amazing song all in all! - 10/10. 3. Low - Could've been on Breakaway. Amazing chorus. Verses are lacking for me. Not bad at all, just not the best. - 7.5/10. 4. Some Kind of Miracle - She sounds kind of like Alecia Keys on this song. Great vocals. Sounds exactly like track #1. - 8/10. 5. What's Up Lonely - Very good vibe and melody. Great vocals. Great lyrics. - 9/10. 6. Just Missed The Train - Amazing melody with amazing lyrics and vocals. One of the best on the album. - 10/10. 7. Beautiful Disaster - Great mid-tempo. Good lyrics over a cool acoustic beat. - 9/10. 8. You Thought Wrong - Chorus is amazing! So strong! Great lyrics! I love the chorus's electric guitar riff. - 10/10. 9. Thankful - Another 90's style ballad. All of her ballads sound the same on this album. Very good lyrics and vocals. Too slow for my taste, but not bad. - 7.5/10. 10. Anytime - Very good vocals, as always. Chorus is amazing. Great ballad. - 9/10. 11. A Moment Like This - AMAZING! One of the best overs I have ever heard in my life! I am in a lost of words. - 10/10. 12. Before Your Love - Sounds just like the above track. Amazing vocals. Classic music. - 8.5/10. Overall, this album is very good for what it is. A soulful RnB/Pop album. I'm more of a fan of her albums from Breakaway to Stronger. I'm not a big fan of RnB, but this album was actually good. Some songs were amazing, some were a bit lack-luster. She has definetely grown since her debut. I would give this album 4/5 stars.

I honestly prefer r&b over pop/rock,because r&b is soulful and lacks the cheesiness of the whole pop/rock sound that EVERYONE does. Kelly has such a soulful voice and beautiful tone,she should really go back to r&b/soul music.

Almost 11 years later and I still love this album.. I'm one of the few that prefer to go to best buy or target to buy the album. I'm just happy I still have this cd from when it first came out..

I love this POP album! It gives me good feels; I appreciate it and I was sold with "Miss Independent" when it came out. Not including her xmas albums, this is my 2nd to last favorite album fo hers. I don't skip anything but almost all of her albums got much better over time.

1. The Trouble With Love Is- 7/10. Vocals are shown off in it, but it's not the most amazing song. 2. Miss Independent- 7/10. Her vocals are covered up by some fake style that just isn't her. 3. Low- 10/10. Beautiful. It is great all around! 4. Some Kind Of Miracle- 7/10. Least favorite on the album. It's not amaing. It's not bad though. It could certainly be better. 5. What's Up Lonely- 8/10. Sounds like a better version of Some Kind Of Miracle. It doesn't show off her vocals, but it's catchy. 6. Just Missed The Train- 10/10. Best. Song. On. The. CD. Beautiful vocals, words, and everything. Powerful. All I can say is that if you sang more songs like this, you would be more popular then GaGa (even though you already deserve it) 7. Beautiful Disaster- 10/10. Nice song. Doesn't sound autotuned, but it's pop. And upbeat. I like it. If you're going to continue to do pop, keep this epic song in your head while writing! 8. You Thought Wrong- 9/10. Vocals are totally covered up by autotune. You do NOT need that autotune on your music. You sound so much better without it, but it's a catchy song. 9. Thankful- 7/10- It's another Some Kind Of Miracle, but I like it better. The lyrics are nice. 10. Anytime- 10/10- Beautiful opening music. Great song. This is music that you need to do. Kelly is probably one of the last woman in the industry that has kept it real. Her music speaks for itself, and the way she makes you feel is real. It's the reason why people still buy records today. She will be here for years to come!

First, I've got to admit that despite Kelly Clarkson's rise to fame, I never paid her any mind. It's September, 2013 and I'm just now getting into her music. Why? Well, I'm not really into pop music.. I prefer R&B/Hip-Hop and rap.. I started listening to her (and a few other artists I've never paid attention to) after finding this album at a thrift store for one dollar...how could I have gone wrong? Even if I only ended up liking one song, I still go my money's worth! O...M...G...!! SHAME ON ME! I've deprived myself of some pretty powerful music all these years! I'm IN LOVE with this album! Kelly really has a bit of an R&B sound to her tracks.. She's full of soul and emotion..not to mention, her voice is beautiful!! Her lyrics are so real, so powerful.. In my lifetime, I've come across less than a handful albums in which I loved EVERY single track..and this is one of them! I can keep this album on repeat and love it more and more each time it plays! A lot of the time I can't even say that about my top #1 favorite artists! There's always, ALWAYS AT LEAST ONE track I don't care for!! KELLY CLARKSON IS A TRUE ARTIST!! I'm SO sorry that I didn't start listening to her sooner!! I can't wait to check out the rest of her albums!!

The idol's (in my opinion) are famous for having "ehhh" albums This isnt so "ehh" more like a "huh" :) if you got that i'm saying kelly clarkson has made a bigger debut then lets say, Fantasia, or Ruben, Where are they now?????

Kelly Clarkson has one of those unmistakable voices. In all of her songs, you can tell she’s singing it, unlike with some other artists. Plus, this album is really great. I love the relatable songs! Also, even though it seems like the lyrics are off-beat, honestly, I don’t think anyone cares! The songs are full of emotion and meaning. Great album, just great!
