When I listen to this song and many of Mormon Tabernacle Choir's works, I feel the Holy Spirit--I feel like God is not distant.
Mac's arrangement of My Shepherd Will Supply has become the definitive choral arrangement of this hymn. The choir and orchestra then, take it to on up to Heaven itself. As perfect a singing of this piece as you will ever find.
Of all the recordings that Jessop and Wilberg did together, this is perhaps their very best. By the time this album was recorded, Jessop had the choir in absolute peak performance, and Wilberg's genius was starting to be on full display. The a cappella pieces and stanzas on this album are some of the finest sacred music ever recorded, in my opinion. Cannot recommend highly enough.
Consider the Lillies, Jesu the Very Thought, and My Shepherd Will Supply my Needs are highlights. However there's not a song here I wouldn't recommend.
This is my favorite album ever recorded by the Mormon Tabernacle Choir.

Consider the Lilies is a religious album released by the Mormon Tabernacle Choir. The album was originally released in 2003. It was remastered in 2023 along with a release on vinyl. The music in this first album on the choir's new label represents a broad range of musical feeling—from the joyful "Rejoice, the Lord is King!" and "Morning Has Broken" to the contemplative "O Holy Jesus" and "Pilgrims' Hymn" to the fervent affirmations in "I Believe in Christ" and "This Is the Christ."
