Ozzy Osbourne - Down to Earth

About Down to Earth by Ozzy Osbourne Album

Down to Earth is an album by Ozzy Osbourne, released on October 16, 2001. It was the long awaited follow-up to his 1995 studio release Ozzmosis. It was also an Enhanced CD. The cover of the album is made of Osbourne's X-ray and his tattoos superimposed. It is the first and only studio album to feature former Suicidal Tendencies bassist Robert Trujillo, who would then go on to join Metallica in 2003. This was the first studio album Osbourne had ever done without the writing or performance of either Bob Daisley or Geezer Butler. Zakk Wylde didn't write any of the songs for the Ozzy Osbourne album "Down To Earth". his album with Black Label Society, 1919 Eternal, was originally supposed to be "Down To Earth", but Ozzy said it sounded 'too Black Label'. - Nice

The guitarist is nothing compared to Randy Rhoads.

- Zakk+Ozzy=Godly Band

This is my favorite album between ozzys lyrics and Zakks guitars this album takes up 1/5 of all of my favorite songs of hard rock/heavy metal

- Pretty Good

Nothing to avoid, just wish Randy were in it. A little different than the usual Ozzy, but still good. Keep rockin' Ozz!

- Great!

This to my recollection is the first Ozzy album I heard as a kid. I knew his other songs but this was the first one through till the end. It's fantastic and will melt your faces off!

- Yes!

This album defined my teenage years! I came across it the other day and remembered being 16 and I had just gotten my license. My buddies and I jumped in the car, blasted this album and just drove for miles! Of course you can't do that anymore, gas prices will kill you, lol.

- The Godfather of Metal lives on

This album is a "must-have" for any true Ozzy fan. Some of the better riffs on this one ("Facing Hell", "Black Illusion", etc), so I'm grateful it has been added to the iTunes library. Ozzy - keep putting out new material, my man! You rock!!

- A Deeper Cut in Ozzy's Catalog

if you're a fan of either No More Tears or Ozzmosis, this album will have plenty to offer. the riffs in songs like "Facing Hell" and "Junkie" are kickass, and there are a couple of good cheesy ballads like Dreamer and Running Out of Time. even though this is a good album, it's definitely ozzy's weakest. so buy all of his other albums before this one, but definitely still check this one out if you're into the latter Zakk Wylde-era Ozzy

- AWESOME!

All Ozzy albums rock. Hes a GOD! He's done so much for rock music infulencing other greats. All metal and rock bands owe a bit to the Prince of darkness. I suggest if you like ozzy to get the whole thing. Some of the more "popular" ones are 'Gets Me Through', 'Dreamer', and 'That I Never Had'. I love the whole thing and everything ozzy does. Keep ROCKIN'!! XD

- Not bad

Not great.

- Simply Amazing!

Great! This is an awesome album. It's packed with great stuff (facing hell is the best in my opinion) A must have for any ozzy fan!

- Ozzy Rocks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

- My fav

This is one of my more favorite ozzy albums along with ozzmosis and black rain

- Gets better the more you listen to it!

I initially didn't give Down to Earth a chance. I just kind of went over it quickly and left it alone. But I was board with my music one day and bought this to listen to it more and I discovered that it is a very goood album. Gets me Through, Dreamer, No Easy Way Out, and Running Out of Time are all great songs. Some of Ozzy's best. Facing Hell and Alive are also solid songs. Give it a listen. You won't be disappointed.

- Guitar work is awesome

Ozzy really pulled it together on this album. Best work since No More Tears. Very underrated album.

- BUY THIS ALBUM!!

- Good Stuff

Out of "Down To Earth" "Ozzmosis" and "Black Rain" this one's the best!
