I cant believe u would compare this band to TOOL.....outta your freakin mind....these guys are garbage compared to TOOL......

- Simply a Masterpiece

Coheed and Cambria remain the driving force in new prog rock with their 2005 offering, Good Apollo I'm Burning Star IV, Vol. 1 From Fear Through the Eyes of Madness. This album combines Claudio Sanchez's signature vocals with artistic and intricate guitar work by Travis Stever and Sanchez. Bass player Mic Todd and drummer Josh Eppard make for an amazing groove section. This album is sure to please fans of popular rock with anthems such as "Welcome Home" and "The Suffering". Prog fans will not be left out either, with complex but catchy songs in "The Willing Well" series. This album is very solid all the way through, and I STRONGLY RECOMMEND IT IN ITS ENTIRETY. It has done wonders for me, and I'm sure it will for you, too.

- Yes zebsnest!!!

This guys are more accomplished musicians with higher creativity than Tool!!!

- 8 Years Old and Stil Rocking.

This is the album that launched Coheed into mainstream rock. They've come out with a few other worthy albums since, but this one set the tone. Simply a masterpice.

- Simply amazing

I'll start out by saying I originally did not like Coheed And Cambria. I had heard a few songs and didn't really understand their music. That being said once I decided to give this album a chance I instantly fell in love with it. The whole album flows together perfectly and almost seamlessly. Do yourself a favor and buy this album. Songs in order of favorite to least: 1. The Suffering 2. Mother May I 3. Apollo I: The Writing Writer 4. Ten Speed Of Gods Blood & Burial 5. Once Upon Your Dead Body 6. Welcome Home 7. Crossing The Frame 8. Wake Up 9. The Willing Well III 10. The Willing Well II 11. Always & Never 12. The Willing Well I 13. The Lying Lies & Dirty Secrets 14. Keeping The Blade 15. The Willing Well IV

- Beast ever

You can talk as much crap on these guys as yuou want but they are still one of the greatest bands ever!

- And on to the glory at my right hand

You seem to take premise to all of these so. I love coheed and cambria because the beat is amazing and I love his voice. My favorite song is welcome home

- Killer Album

This album is totally killer with lots of great dynamics. The production is great with big arrangements and a nice blend of acoustic and electric guitar usage. This is album reminds me of how 'Sounds & Silences' by A Big Goodbye kind of flows up and down from somber to intense...great album...a must have!

- Impressed!

Ive heard Welcome home before, and so I saw this album cheap at the store, and decided to give it a try. I honestly went in expecting Welcome home to be the best song, but once the the album started I knew it was going to be good. Love the entire album, although The Willing Well songs are still trying to grow on me. Favorite songs are Ten sleed, and wake up

- THE BEST ALBUM EVER!!!

When I first came to this Album I clicked on just a random song and it was "Welcome Home" , which told me i should buy this song or maybe even the WHOLE ALBUM!

- Welcome home

Welcome home best song on track great pump up music

- BEST BAND EVER

I LOVE ALL OF THEIR SONGS COHEED AND CAMBRIA IS THE BEST BAND EVER! IM OBSESSED WITH THEM I WISH I COULD GIVE THEM A MILLION STARS!!! PLEASE HAVE A CONCERT IS AUSTIN TEXAS!!!!!

- Awesomeness

This was the first album I've heard by Coheed!! I first heard "Welcome Home and Top Speed" by playing Rock Band and that made me wanna look up on this band. And from what I heard by listening to this album I love them!!!

- A Masterpice From a Great Prog-Metal Band

I was one of those people who discovered this band from the trailer for a movie called 9 (which, if you ask me, is an utter masterpice of a movie that is all-too-often overlooked). However, I never gave them much thought until around 4 or 5 years ago, and, acknowledging that I haven't listened to them much in that time frame, here's my two cents... This album is an utter masterpiece. Coheed And Cambria is one of those rare bands that are committed to making albums with intertwined themes and story beats very consistently, The Amory Wars being a rather well thought-out saga that even has it's own comic book series. Vocals and harmonies are amazing, production is top-notch (even by mid-2000's standards), and the music is, among other things, absolutely fitting for the (ongoing) story. I can honestly say this album is for those who enjoy theatrics in their music, and this album is for said people. 10/10. Personal highlights: "Welcome Home", "Ten Speed (Of God's Blood & Burial)", "Apollo I: The Writing Writer".

- One of the greatest EVER!!!

Like it says... This album is without a doubt one of the greatest albums ever made by any band ever. It's a genuine work of art on sooo many levels. As far as I'm concerned this album is up there with the album "ænima" from Tool. Honestly I think they're tied for greatest. If you don't like this then go buy britney spears cause you obviously have no real opinion on music.

- Best coheed

Killer album

- BEST CD!!!

My favorite C&C CDs of all💙😎🤘🏼

- Amazing

This is one of my favorite abulms of the century.at 15 I'm a little young to have discovered such an immensely talented band as coheed and cambria and I am thankfull for it.

- So good

This is one of the more complete albums I've ever had the pleasure of owning. There isn't a bad song here, nor even a decent song. They're all good. The Willing Well I-IV epic is prog bliss. buy and enjoy :D

- Genius

Seven morons (who don't know what good music is) gave this album one star. This album is phenomenal and has to go down amongst one of the greatest rock albums of all time. From the music and its arrangement to the flow of songs and the melody/harmonies, this is genius. And it's part of the comic series 'The Amory Wars', so there's a bigger concept behind it all. Give it a listen!

- I love it

I love the suffering but this whole album is great!

- STIGS

Seriously: This Is Good Sh*t I love this band, they are one of the most musically talented bands I've ever heard. There is no way to describe/categorize them (Emo, Alternative & and Punk are what iTunes thinks, but they are just Coheed, plain and simple). They can do anything, and there is no other band that makes music like this. Obviously I am not exactly an impartial observer (along with many other devoted fans here) but if you're looking for something unique and truly incredible, listen to this band. Have an open mind, give them a chance, and I believe you won't regret it.

- MY FAVORITE ALBUM AND....

THE GREATEST ONE OF ALL TIME

- A true experience in melodic emotion.

Every song on this album builds into the next until the epic winding down finale. As a guitarist, who listens to a wide range of music, this album has some of the most satisfying music I've ever played/tried to play. It's complex, without being unnecessarily so. When it comes down to stand out tracks, I personally have 8. I'm constantly finding new details in every track that only add to the respect I have for their musicianship. As far as vocals go, Sanchez has strung more emotion than sense, treating his voice as the instrument it is, rather than just an overlapping chant. Still, his penetrating lyrics bring a strong tone to each song, even if they don't always make a complete thought. This album is the "Ok Computer" of prog. As such, it is not one to be overlooked.

- 13yrs later and I’m still obsessed!

So much love!!

- Masterpiece 

Simply a new prog saint of the new millenium. Every song is amazing. Keeping the Blade- 10/10- Haunting and beautiful classical tune to open up an equally great album. Always & Never- 8/10- Guitar is exquisite, but the vocal direction isnt at its best. Still great song. Welcome Home- 10/10- Not my favorite, but it is just amazing. Violins, the two guitars, and pounding drums. Its just one of those songs thats on your life soundtrack. Ten Speed- 9.5/10- My third favorite, Welcome Home being second. Great song in general. Riff rules. Crossing the Frame- 8/10- Not my favorote, but still pretty good. The Writing Writer- 10/10- My favorite! Can't stop playing this! Just so catchy and quirky! Once Upon Your Dead Body- 8/10- Again, not attention grabbing, but still a nice song. Wake Up- 10/10- So peaceful and romantic, yet somehow kind of evil. But a gentle ballad. The Suffering- 10/10- Love it! So fun, yet the lyrics are ironically dark. but just listening is fun and upbeat Mother May I- 8/10- Good, nice, amazing Willing Well- 40/40- AMAZING!! ALL OF THEM! My Greatest to Least 1. Apollo I: Writing Writer 2. Welcome Home 3. Ten Speed 4. Keeping the Blade 5. Willing Well III 6. Willing Well II 7. The Suffering 8. Willing Well I 10. Willing Well IV 11. Wake Up 12. Crossing the Frame 13. Always and Never 14. Mother May I 15. Once Upon Your Dead Body

- Woo hoo!

I'm seein them @ radio city in NY lucky me

- I know I wrote a review for the other version, but...

... There seems to be some things I've left out. For those who haven't read it, I happen to adore Coheed & Cambria and literally half of my favorite songs are off of this album. I also see that people seem to be making quite a big deal over Welcome Home, & I can honestly say that's not one of my favorite songs by them. The Willing Well II: From Fear Through the Eyes of Madness is, in my humble opinion, ten times better than Welcome Home. From start to end, it's light musicality becomes darker & more passionate, with a sort of driving power that strengthens throughout the song, while the lyrics remain sinister throughout the song. I felt the need to push this song out there because it needs the publicity it deserves. On a side note, I'd forgotten to mention the story Crossing the Frame tells. It's about Claudio the Character thinking of whether to leave his love, Newo Ikkin, or to see her again. & if he sees her, what will she do? Will she be happy for him, will she continue to show some sort of hatred? I figured out that's why I love it so much. So if you haven't heard of Coheed & Cambria, I feel you should check out these two songs, as well as the whole album (as well as IKSoSE:3), because those two (especially this one) are by far their best albums, and probably the best albums I've heard. (:

- Great variety

As a mainly hardcore metal listener I really enjoy this band. They have the technicality of metal but not nearly as in your face. Also they have amazing transitions and fills as a musician I really appreciate their talent. Back when I wasn't playing I thought they were just decent nothing but today I know that's not true at all.

- They should be more well known

Awesome and epic album

- Top to Bottom

Peak Coheed

- quality

quality at a price you can depend on, great album.

- Amazing work

The last 4 songs are beautiful. I can listen to just those, in order, on repeat for hours. The rest of the album is just as good too.

- A Masterpiece. Greatest album of the 2000

In my humble opinion i think this is the greatest album ever written, put together and performed. But i'll respect the opinions of others. However, i will go on to say that this HAS to be the greatest album of the decade at least. Like most great albums it must be listened to from beginning to end. It plays like an epic movie. The first track continues the atmospheric intro like unto their previous albums and so you think it will do the typicall "lull the listener then blow them out of the water" trick, but it doesnt. It goes into the next track just as calming and seemingly unaware of the musical journey ahead. Only then do we hear the greatest intro to a song ever in "Welcome Home". But this album is so much more than "Welcome Home" despite what those guitar hero geeks think. The guitars are just as complex and intricate as ever with KILLER original solos. Claudio and Travis's guitars play off one another perfectly just like their previous albums but they still sound fresh. Every song on the album is placed exactly where it should be and just when you think you heard everything there comes the Willing Wells. Another album within an album. Each song clocking in at over 7 mins and not a single minute will bore you. Just when you think the song is headed in a certain direction they change it up on you but it all peices together. I really cannot say enough about this album and especially the Willing Well songs, As i'm writing this its almost been 6 years since it came out and i still get chills while listening to this all the way through. I had been a casual Coheed and Cambria listener before this album had come out (although at the time, i still hadnt soaked in their other two albums fully enough to give them the credit they deserve.) But this was the album that established Coheed and Cambria as a rock band to be reckoned with. Thank you so much for giving us this wonderful work of art.

- Most influential band ever!

Coheed and Cambria is by far, hands down my favorite band ever. If I had to choose one band who I was only allowed to listen to for the rest of my life- it would be them. From Fear Through the Eyes of Madness is by far in my opinion the best song on this album. But I also love every song they have ever made. I have seen them live in concert five times and own every album they have put out and also own all of Claudio Sanchez's comics. The Writing Writer is my second favorite song. The whole concept of telling this amazing story through their music and comic books is just GENIUS!

- This album

Is a pure masterpiece. All the sounds and the mood it carries will haunt you and make you want to jump back in for another ride. From the childish and bittersweet opening, to the chilling and dark end, this album will make you rethink music

- BUY THIS ALBUM!!!!

If u like or love coheed and cambrias music I would definitely recommend this album it's just so amazing from start to finish

- Greatest Album Of All Time

I consider EVERY single one of Coheed and Cambria's albums masterpieces but without a doubt in my mind Good Apollo is the absolute best of the best. Get this album and I promise you won't regret it.

- All time favorite

This was my first coheed cd, and it's my favorite. Coheed and Cambria is my favorite band and I love all of their cd's, (except Year of the Black Rainbow which was ehh) but Good Apollo holds a special place in my heart. There is just no other band and no other cd that sounds like this. The musicality, creativity, uniqueness, and raw passion in each song still amazes me after almost a decade of listening to it. Good Apollo just never gets old.

- Not the bestseller, but the best overall

Coheed and Cambria is a band with consistently strong albums, but this album I think helped define their sound and demonstrate their skill and originality. I think in No World For Tomorrow and Year of the Black Rainbow you get less… weird. This album is WEIRD. In both lyrics and sound. But what you get is an album with so many sounds and emotions, hardness and melody, and some elements more suited to classical music. Also, amazing guitar work and melody. Some of the songs sort of change throughout until the song is completely different at the end (but still has the same motif underneath i.e. chord progression or drum pattern). The album jumps around a lot, but it jumps to great places.

- Good Apollo

This is by far the best coheed album and one of the best i modern rock. Every song on here is just amazing!!! I love this album!!!
