I'm a HUGE Pink Floyd fan and thought that "Dub Side Of The Moon" would sound crappy, but boy was I wrong. Then they took on OK Computer and KILLED IT! Now this, which is also fabulous. I can't wait to see who they cover next!

Easy Star All-Stars have always been putting the best cover albums in a dub/reggae form. We had "Dub Side of the Moon". Then it was "Radiodread" (Radiohead's notorious album, Ok Computer.) The first 2 albums, I think, are incredible with great sounds, great vibes & musically just genius. The Beatles cover of "Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band" was interesting, but slightly not the best reggae album I've heard. I am really into Dub/Reggae & Rocksteady. I've been hearing a lot of reggae over the years and mainly what the people really want is the roots. The music of the rastafarian soul. This, on the other hand, was just simple covers. Plus, there is already a cover album of Beatles' songs out there in a reggae/rocksteady form. Don't get me wrong, great reggae artists lineup though! Very interesting but I'm a bit disappointed how this album sounds. A few good songs here & there, ie 'With a Little Help from My Friends', but I was expecting a lot more from these guys.

Michael Goldwasser and his merry band of Easy Star dubsters pay fitting tribute to The Beatles classic concept album, 'Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band' in classy fashion. I was initially intrigued by their Pink Floyd 'Dub Side Of The Moon' project and really sold on their cover album concept with their take on 'OK Computer' by Radiohead, aptly titled 'Radiodread.' However, 'Easy Star's Lonely Hearts Dub Band' showcases the band selecting the perfect album to flex their reggae re-interpretational skills. Perhaps the perfect album to throw on and welcome in Spring, this one works for all ages, 3 to 83! And don't miss Matisyahu's guest spot on "Within You Without You." Hopefully this is a tease of the new direction he's taking for his new album this summer.

Ok, everybody gets that the beatles were icons and such. That is the whole purpose for the album. They are definitely a very talented band and do an excellent job taking classic music and transforming them into reggae. They always seem to maintain the integrity of the original and add their own touch without tinkering too much. Get over it, Easy Star breathes some fresh life into these songs-Bottom Line.

this is a great album. at first i felt that it wasnt as good as dub side, but after listening to it more, you grow to like it, it is amazing. "when im sixty four" gets really dubby and awesome at the end of the song, and the transition in "a day in the life" is really good. fully listen to "when im sixty four" and "a day in the life" and then tell me you dont like it

love to hear them record a version of emerson, lake & palmer's brain salad surgery next! love their unique take on the lad's 1967 psychedelia masterpiece!

It isn't for everybody. It is a reggae re-imaging of a classic album. If that doesn't sound like your thing, skip it. If you like "Dub-Side of the Moon" you'll like this. Hooray for beer! Hooray for the Easy Star All-Stars.

Why does every second-rate band in the world think the key to success is covering classic tunes? The band plays everything too slow, the singing isn't very good, and most of the tunes just don't work as Reggae. This sounds like something American Idol would think up -- and then decide against. Bo-ring.

Easy Star does it again and I thought it could not be better than Dub Side of the Moon, but it was just as incredible. From the opening all the way to the end, amazing dub mixed with classic rock. Staying true to the original album lyrics and soul, Easy Star produces a dub filled reggae journey. If The Beatles were a reggae band, this is what it would sound like. The guest singers and performers make this album even more dynamic and incredible. The "Within You Without You" with Matisyahu is breath taking and "Good Morning Good Morning" with Steel Pulse just puts a grin from ear to ear on my face. "Fixing a Hole" has an amazing breakdown that is just as great as the breakdown in "Money" on their Dub Side of the Moon album. For $10 this is a must buy for any reggae fan, Easy Star fan, or Beatles fan. Chalk another one up for Easy Star All-Stars.

Don't give it a second thought. If you even remotely liked Dub Side of the Moon, then what is better than the Beatles' music? Exactly. Get it. You won't be dissapointed.

I love Easy Star and have been an avid listener of them for years but was skeptical when i heard about this project. I couldn't have been more wrong. Buy this album, its their best (yes, better than Dub Side)

Usually I see a cover song or album and immediatly don't want to hear it. However, this album is way different. The album is great and is a nice twist on a great classic album.

I had high expectations since Radiodread and Dub Side were so good. They've just gotten very gospel. Matisyahu is a complete dud (as always) and Frankie Paul sounds washed up now. Really the main problem is the vocalist selection. The Mighty Diamonds DO steal the show with Getting Better, Steel Pulse is a let down, Max Romeo is decent. Otherwise the drums sound lifeless, and mismatched. But there is a lot of good musicianship. The transition on A Day in the Life is really well executed though, so I recommend listening to it, but it's definitely a failure of an album.

ZOMG! These guys ROCK. Usually I hate covered versions of my favorite music - but these guys are in a league of their own. Do yourself a favor, and don't write 'em off without listening to 'em...

I have listened to this CD more than 20 times in the last 3 weeks since I bought and each time it gets better! EVERY TRACK is a gem. If you like true dub, this is for you.

I am a huge fan of the Beatles and also reggae music. In my opinion Easy Star All-Stars have breathed new life into these songs while staying true to the classics all the while. I highly recommend this album.

I am not a big fan of cover bands, but these guys are true masters of reggaeification covers. They breath new life into old classics.It's like Knowing all the words to a new song. If you are a fan of reggae I strongly reccomend Easy Star Allstars!!

The original Sgt. Peppers album is the one album I've listened to more than any other. To a point where it is image-burned on that back of my brain. To a point where I stopped listening to it. I hadn't played it in decades, and then I heard the Easy Stars Lonely Hearts Dub Band, and it's fresh! This works! Beatles be Irie!

thats what i call the beatles. i am a huge die hard beatles fan. have all albums on vinyl and cd, movies, books, autographs, etc., my living room is even decorated "beatles". having said that, being the "purest" i am and protective of the songs intent, both lyrically and musically, i did NOT expect to like this. but i do. a lot. the only reason i didnt give it 5 stars is because it isnt the fab 4, otherwise, great job boys:-).

They truly failed to keep the spirit of Dub Side and the radiohead cover. Not dubby enough. They got Matisyaboooooo on a track. Real wack. Dont spend you money!!!

I feel like it's a little too poppy for me. i loved LOVED dub side of the moon. I don't like most of the new reggae stuff coming out. i might say i am kind of a reggae purist. Like i said- it is poppy- and they really abuse that "basketball game horn noise". it's not the kind of album you could kick back and light one up to. Maybe if they did abbey road or something i would really be impressed. I still bought the whole thing- it's not bad, but i feel like they could have done better.

Sitting in my apartment at 1:00 a.m.....1 hour after the album came out and i'm on track 6........UNBELIEVABLE!!!!! get it....get it....get it!!!!! its just AWESOME.....makes you feel your at the beach, without losing the beatles roots sound.....UUUUHHHHHHH!!!!! GET IT!!!

Admittedly, I had never listened to the original, "Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band" album from The Beatles, start to finish, though I'd heard 90% of the songs individually. However, I'd been listening to the Easy Star All-Stars since they released, "Dub Side Of The Moon", and the subsequent release, "Radiodread". When I first heard Easy Star's cover of the classic Pink Floyd epic album, I was astounded that anyone shy of artists such as Dream Theater could recreate musical art in such a precise and original fashion, the end product being much more akin to a tribute then a simple cover . However, the Easy Star All-Stars did not disappoint, and unleashed a torrential Reggae storm upon the world. Shortly thereafter, I discovered their tribute to, "OK Computer", and found an entirely new love for Radiohead as well as Reggae, keeping, "Radiodread" in my CD player for several weeks in a row without pause. As soon as I heard that the Easy Star crew had re-invented a Beatles classic, I went out and purchased the new album immediately. Suffice to say, I was incredibly impressed. On first listen, I was very impressed, and the more I listened, the more entranced I became. The elements for a great Reggae album are all here; the deep and constant bass rhythm; the delicately used echos and reverb; the perfectly positioned horn section. All of this was blended to a solid and incredibly enjoyable consistency that both Reggae and Beatles fans can enjoy. As a nice bonus, I was so impressed with this creation that after fully listening and absorbing the new Easy Star album, the first thing I did was go and purchase a copy of the original, "Lonely Hearts" record by The Beatles.

Their cover of Floyd's "Dark Side" was amazingly good, made it all seem so fresh again. Their cover of Radiohead's "OK Computer" was outstanding, made me listen to the original (one of my all-time favorites) with new insight. If anyone can bring something new to these great Beatles songs it is the Easy Star crew.

Believe it or not, these songs are just as magical as the originals. I can't imagine Paul, Ringo, John and George not loving it!

This is the newest ESAS album in my collection and they never cease to amaze me. I have Dubside of the moon and Radiodred, and this is just as good as the first two...You've gotta check this band out if you never have before!!!!!

Вряд ли можно предположить подобное невежество у ветеранов регги-группы "Meditations", или у экс-участника группы Боба Марли "Wailers" Гари Пайна. Просто на нью-йоркском лейбле Easy Star Records пришло время впомнить одну из великих вех рок-музыки прошлого. Да и деньжат срубить немного. Альбом, кстати, получился на редкость удачным. 3. Yonderboi - Shallow And Profound'2000 - Riders On The Storm Что касается Венгрии... Ласло Фогарази (Laslo Fogarasi), простой парень из деревни воспитывался на советских детских пластинках. Сейчас, когда венгерские газеты величают его "венгерским Моцартом", в детской виниловой продукции фирмы "Мелодия" он видит один из источников своего творчества. Издание называется "La Odisea De Pink Floyd" и содержит 288 страниц. Книга Николаса Шэффнера, вышедшая в 1991 году, хорошо известна среди поклонников Pink Floyd, в том числе и в России, и считается одной из лучших книг, написанных о группе. Im sorry, but no one can remake any beatles songs, you just cant beat the originals...people have tried, but these songs are just to big, there not meant to be remade, also, i dont even think these guys are very good

Nothing will ever be as good as dub side but this is still a classic album that should be apart of every reggea fans collection!

I respect this album of Beatles covers. They are my favorite band and I love reggae too. ya'll know how to properly cover a song. This is a pretty far out album.... i digg this!

When Dub Side of the Moon came out it blew my mind but that was nothing compared to hearing this for the first time. Absolutely the best reggae album I've heard in years and probably the best cover album I've ever heard. Go get it, you won't be disappointed.
