- ROBERT OH ROBERT!

I LOVE YOU AND I LOVE YOUR MUSIC (ROBBY) ONE OF THE BEST ALBUMS IN THE WORLD EVER!

- the Cure

Awesome check out "Doug Mac Donald Band"

- Anyone having volume issues with Kiss Me Kiss Me mix?

Hmm-I love and always have loved this album-but have noticed that when i bought this version of Kiss Me Kiss Me Kiss Me off itunes-certain songs like Catch and Just Like Heaven and other "singles" are louder than other songs. Am I crazy or is this what Im hearing. I am sure this isnt a mix thing intended for the album-Ive owned 2 different copies of this in the past and know how this is supposed to sound. Also Just like Heavens mix IS different than the orignial albums... They brought out some of the stuff that was buried out into the open. I think. (haha). If this is Robert Smiths doing i hope he isnt suffering from George Lucasism. Is this "remasterd" or what? Best, Mike PS Anyone know how to get the B side singles?

- Unlike it's reported by iTunes, this album came out in 1987

I love The Cure! This album came out in 1987, NOT 1967.

- Discovering the 80's

The Cure is an amazing band and this is a great album. I'm only a teenager so i was never around to understand them until now.

- The Best of The Cure

I purchased this CD back in 1987 and it has been played more than any other Cure CD in my collection. This album is a masterpiece and is absolutely on of the finest recordings ever done. It's just a great album and a must have for anybody that like The Cure.

- Eh...

Yeah so I'm gonna be the first negative comment here XD You REALLY need to be a fan of this kind of music to liek this band. I personally...dont really like how the Cure sounds, I'm more of a heavy rock fan =/. I only really love the lyrics of the songs, not the music. The only song I like from this album is Icing Sugar. Oh well =]

- Love Kiss Me Kiss Me Kiss Me

But why isn't Hey You! included? I understand restraints on physical CDs but this is a digital album.

- Simply the best

I love “Just like heaven”...... awesome jam. Always,...... The Cure

- Very Good

This is my favorite album from The Cure by far. It has most of my favorite songs from them on it. My top picks are How Beautiful You Are(I love the introduction), Like Cockatoos, The Snakepit, and Torture.

- The Cure's most playful record

"The Head on the Door" was a great pop record, while "Disintegration" would prove to be a finely crafted gothic masterpiece, finding the Cure reaching a creative plateau. But between pop and perfection was an album that with the exception of a couple really great singles, kind of gets ignored when people discuss the Cure. Perhaps "Kiss Me" lacks the fine tuned production of the upbeat poppy "Head," or the epic emotional intensity that fuels "Disintegration," but that's the point of it, and it's why "Kiss Me" remains one of my favorite Cure albums. When the Cure ventured out into the music scene they started off created a sort of eccentric pop sound that some people like to think was goth. But the alterna-pop craftsmanship reached its height on Head at the Door, finding the Cure being forced to reach in other directions for something new. This resulted in the ambitious "Kiss Me, Kiss Me, Kiss Me" double album, which when heard apart sounds like a happy kind of mess. "The Kiss" recalls Pornography era Cure while providing the landscape that would capture the beauty of "Disintegration" later. Then there's this playful pop that comes in on such songs as "Catch," or "The Perfect Girl." There's a little bit more of that crafty, but still playful pop of "Why Can't I Be You?" and "Hot Hot Hot." These songs lack the structure of earlier Cure. They sound wild and frantic. It's why they are so much fun. Then there's an even more frenetic quality to some of the lesser known album cuts, like "Shiver and Shake" which sounds like a Cure jam session with a wild vocal from Robert Smith, or the equally trippy "The Snakepit," which isn't quite as wild but equally inspired. My favorite of these tracks has to be Like Cockatoos. It just sounds nightmarish. But one of the greatest qualities of the album was Robert Smith's ability to capture emotion so well in a song, which is why many of like the Cure. "Just Like Heaven" is a perfect song. Period. If "Disintegration" was the Cure's perfect album, then "Just Like Heaven" was the perfect single. It was quick, but drenched with the emotion. But equally great was another more subtle track, "One More Time." It's not as catchy as Heaven (what is?), but has beautiful melodic phrases that capture Smith's aim to get the band more involved on this record, while Smith pour his soul out with his slightly imperfect vocal. But that's why it's all the more satisfying. "Kiss Me Kiss Me Kiss Me," is an odd record because of where it lies within their catalogue, between two big breakout records. Even though this was a hit in its own right, the album never gets its due for its artistic merit as a whole. Listen to this record in its entirety and you will discover some wonderful, wild, playful craftsmanship.

- ♥cure♥

u've got to love the cure. they're not gothic, and that's a fact. it's just the image that makes people belive that. but they do make a great sound. the only letdown is that itunes doesn't have any of their music videos. i want just like heaven so badly but it's not on itunes :'(. i wish they'd put some music videos up.

- the cure album to get

this IS it. as another reviewer wrote. this album hit me with the psychedelic lucious layers of guitar. love, despair, lust, delirium. just like heaven, catch, perfect girl, icing sugar, like cocatoos, all i want... this album has been with me for almost twenty years and in years to come will be considered a classic.

- Great...but...

Itunes dates this for 1967. NOT 1987. haha

- catchy

i cant get those awesome vocals on just like heaven out of my head

- Money grab

Sadly, this is where Robert Smith ditched artistic credibility, and sold out to the MTV (remember MTV?) crowd. Aimed squarley at commercial radio listeners, this record hit the mark perfectly. About 8 songs too long, most of the material here sounds as if it was written in about 45 minutes. Dave M. Allen's sucky production only makes this more of an uninspired mess. Sorry to all those who love this album, but I just see it as a sell out.

- Wow!!

This was as so many others have said the first album to introduce me to the Cure. I was floored when I heard this the first time because I had never heard anything like it. The Kiss is seriously one of their best and it continues all the way through to Fight. Buy this album now!!

- The Cure

08 Hey You

- Must have for Cure Fans

This is a great album, contains some great songs, Highlights are: Why Can't I Be You, Just Like Heaven, Hot Hot Hot!! and a personal favorite that is only in this album is Like Cockatoos. The only reason i dont give this album a 5th star is cus like many Cure songs they are repited in other albums which is very annoying cus your basically paying twice for the same songs. Otherwise a great band.

- Just like heaven

This song makes me smile 😊

- As fabulous as it was in the 80s.

Masterful, powerful, really shows off the best of The Cure. Listening, it takes me right back. The soundtrack of my college days, but it hasn’t lost any luster over the years. It’s as Hot Hot Hot! as it was back then!

- Best. Cure. Ever.

This is The Cure at their most developed. The variety of song stylings keeps you listening. No matter what mood you're in, you can find a great song on this album. There are the gothic-brooding songs to more upbeat, pop-style songs as well. One of my favorite Cure albums.

- Awesome

Well I realy Like This Band And Love must of the songz....from them...

- Almost Complete...

This was/is one of my favorite albums from The Cure, however I was really disappointed to find that the title track wasn't available. I'm beginning to think my ancient cassette tape of this album is the only one in existance with Kiss Me, Kiss Me, Kiss Me on it. It's a great song, and it's exclusion from iTunes causes me great pain. The rest of the album is great too, classic Cure, great tones and tunes.

- Hypnotic and Quirky, Great Chemisty

Wow... This is one great Album. I love this time frame for The Cure. The variety of songs allows you to wander and pulls you back in for love, intense emotion, darkened tones of remorse, wonder, and even some bliss. The chemistry is right though, with Porl Thompson on guitar, and Boris Williams on drums... and Simon and Robert as the mainstays..they equate to The Cure that is most well known. The reasons are plenty, but among them, Porl and Robert compliment each other, and Boris was the Drummer who provided all of the hypnotic beats through the "Wish" album. When Porl and Boris left, The Cure remain strong but a different pathway of sonics is uncovered... Only Roger makes an additional improvement after Tol Lolhursts is kicked out... This Album is Great though and pulls them together even tighter after a great previous album, Head On The Door... Favorites are: Torture, If Only Tonight We Could Sleep, All I Want, Like Cockatoos, Fight, Icing Sugar, How Beautiful You Are, and Just Like Heaven... So many great tracks and more still un-named.

- I wish i was old enough

I wish I was old enough to see the impact of The Cure in the 80's. I know the impact they have had on me. It's sad to know that the days of people putting out albums such as the Cure did is very hard. Nickleback and Buckcherry rule the radio in the states. The music promoters should be embarrassed and ashamed of what they are doing to music. The gatekeepers. The Cure is one of the great things happening in music still today. They aim to please with a whole album. They don't need to sing about "I kissed a girl, and I liked it" to continue to be big. The Cure is something to listen to and enjoy every second of.

- JUST LIKE HEAVEN!!

I LOVE the Cure. They were my favorite music group back in the day and still are! They never disappoint me! I love all of their songs and albums, especially Just Like Heaven, which makes me feel so nostalgic. My daughter always complains because I won't stop listening to the Cure on loop 😂

- Does anyone know????

Where can I find killing an Arab? It's virtually disappeared :(

- ❤️♥️♥️♥️♥️

The Cure is that. Their music heals. Robert Smith and the Cure is irreplaceable and one of the best bands ever. Music, poetry, deep feelings and makes you feel creative just listening to these songs. It’s just like heaven.

- I love this

hi I just wanted to see the reviews and decided to write one lol I’m 16 and I love this song so much, like it makes me wanna roll down the windows in my future car and just imagine my future bf in the driving seat with one hand and the other holding me tight lmaoooooo Well anyways this is a good song so give it a try.!!!!

- one of the best.

some of the best songs by the cure (in my opinion) are on this album. the kiss, the snakepit... many others. just an amazing album. the music is incredible. give it a listen you won't regret it.

- This was a great album!

Saw this show live in New Orleans with one of my best friends. A night I will always remember. It was released in 1987 though, not 1967.

- What's with the $1.29 songs????

I noticed this on a few other albums too. not sure why some of the songs, generally the more popular ones, are more expensive than the traditional 99 cents. Anyone else know???

- Bad Breath Comes Out of This Album

Can you smell it? It's like her rancid bathwash. These guys couldn't even play their shoestrings. James can't stand this music.

- Delightfully impactful.

This album, or I should say cassette/CD has been with me for decades now. I can’t begin to say how much these songs have resonated with me and how they have seemingly changed with me as I’ve grown up returning to it over and over. Head in the door was my older brothers cure tape but when this one came out it was my sound my cure album that always kept my attention the most.

- ❤️

❤️

- SIMPLY GAWGEOUS!

THIS IS THE CURE'S BRASHEST & BEST--THEN & NOW... HOW BEAUTIFUL THEY ARE & IF U HAVEN'T SEEN THEM LIVE--YET?--THEN GET TO IT! 1/13/2007

- The most experimental, most exciting Cure album

Originally released as a sprawling double vinyl album, the single (and only, as of 11/2009) CD version doesn't have sufficient length to house the vinyl album, but what it does include, and what is here on iTunes, is the most experimental album ever by The Cure (and that is saying a lot, of course, considering this is the band that recorded the albums, "Pornography", and, "Bloodflowers", amongst other albums that broke The Cure mold. If you give this album a chance, and it needs several listens to click, you will be richly rewarded! Best songs: "Catch" (cool sweetness), "If Only Tonight We Could Sleep" (a bit monotonous, but eerie and sexy!), "How Beautiful You Are" (great track about Parisian boys...), the three singles, "Hot Hot Hot", "Why Can't I Be You?" and "Just Like Heaven"; and the second half of the album is thick with experimentation, with some catchy surprises! If you love The Cure, this may end up as your favorite Cure album...

- get it

I was going to buy it on itunes, but after listening to the songs again I am going to just go buy the cd...a must have!

- Rock it boys! Y'all made an awesome album!

A lovely album to listen to! I heard that they're doing another Trilogy tour with this album along with the Top and Head on the Door. It's gonna be amazing!

- Epic

If I had to pick the one album that probably has influenced me as a musician the most Kiss Me is it. I probably listened to this album every day for about a year in 8th grade. Now that I have sold quite a few albums myself it is time to give credit to some of my inspiration...

- The Empire Strikes Back…

If THOTD is A New Hope, Kiss Me is The Empire Strikes Back. It is an epic recording with not one bad track.

This album released when I was finishing high school back in 1987 and it was wonderful to see The Cure still having hits with brilliant rock and roll songs in the Alternative 80s. "Just Like Heaven" made us New Wavers swoon in ecstasy on the dance floor, back at a time when rock and roll was still being played at dance clubs. This album holds water like Dylan or The Stones.

- Catch

Catch Wow so many things to say about this song it is so wonderfull simply perfect. it makes me sad, happy, high, just a wonderfull feeling and makes me think of someone

- The Descension of The Cure

This was the point that I stopped listening to what was The Cure - sadly. Robert and Co. were clearly running out of material and started repeating some of the same riffs from previous albums (i.e. The Snakepit = The Wailing Wall from The Top album just to mention one). There are a few good catchy tunes on this but it's average at best.

- Actually quite deep.

Expecting the lighter pop side of the cure? You'll find that as well as the catatonic (?) lows that keep the eclectic band on their outstanding run of great albums.

- Not my favorite, but a classic

Like the title says: Not my favorite but a definite classic. 'How Beautiful You Are', 'The Snakepit', 'A Thousand Hours', 'The Perfect Girl', 'Shiver & Shake'... all classics. Every Cure fan should own this record if, for nothing else, it contains my favorite song of all time: Just Like Heaven.

- Perfect

Best cure album hands down

- ...

how beautiful you are is one of the best cure songs ever... well not just cure but one of the best songs in general. and well obviously everyone who knows the cure knows just like heaven... its a little worn out though since its so famous, but its really good anyways. the perfect girl is cute too. not the best cure cd but it has some really good songs, so its worth it.

- Kissme. kiss me, kiss me

One of the best albums of my childhood during the eighties.
