I LOVED the first album and i was so excited when i heard this new album. Then i heard the whole thing and was like "mainstream has taken another one"

Ok this is new for me. I like rap, pop, rock and some other kinds of music. Anyway I saw BLG at the Bambozzle Roadshow 2010 and it was great. All the bands rocked the show. All Time Low, LMFAO, Simple Plan and BLG all performed but over all every group there really put on a show. I think people should give this cd a chance and you will like it. Try it and see.

I bought Love Drunk and Two is Better than One and I thought that they were both pretty good songs

I didn't like Love Drunk at first but I ended up getting the whole album and I love Love Drunk now but the last album was so much better. Their old sound was 10x better than some of their new songs. I hope they come out with a new album in less time than there was between the first two. I saw them live and they're a great band and amazing to see in concert but the older songs are definitly my faves. I don't like Two Is Better Than One and I definitly don't like Taylor Swift in it. Boys Like Girls don't need a slow song. We the Kings has a song with Demi Lovato??? These bands were better before they were famous.

this is one of the best albums out there right now I got hooked on it from my COLLEGE sister and loved the songs it was also great with buying watever songs u liked from the album. And this totally deserves 5 stars

their first cd was amazing. now their music has turned to pop. some catchy songs, but it would be way better if they didn't change styles like so many bands of today.

This album has a few strong areas like Heart heartbreak and Love Drunk, but huge failures like Real Thing and Chemicals Collide. All in all this is definitely worth a look at, but be careful of buying all of the songs.

This is what I mean... Not only are these guys attractive, But they have talent. The lead singer (anyone know his name?) Is good! I can relate to the song Love Drunk. Its the story of my life only I'm a girl! :)

unsatisfactory. I like pop, but i also like rock and I don't like the Pop Boys Like Girls. If they were going to be like this, they should've let their fans know or changed their name so their fans won't get let down.

I must admit this is disappointing. Like All Time Low, We the Kings, and Forever the Sickest Kids, Boys Like Girls have lost their meaningful lyrics and emotional roller-coaster. I was so excited for all these pop/punk bands when all their albums came out around the same time. I'm not saying all the before-mentioned bands albums are horrid, but I guess, not what I expected if you knew these guys from the very beginning. Every Avenue is the only band that actually pulled through and didn't change. I do agree Taylor Swift should not sing with Boys Like Girls. I'm not saying that she's bad. She has a very nice voice, but bands like these shouldn't mix with Disney stars. Salena Gomez... Forever the Sickest Kids? Demi Lovato... We the Kings? I hope this would be a better year for all of them.

Seriously? What is honestly bad with this band? Or heck, what's wrong with being mainstream. That unknown-boy band group they've been put into for years is great, but do you hear All Time Low or The Maine on the radio? You don't. Most people don't even know who they are. And they are probably the most well known OUT of all of them. It has nothing to do with them changing, or them singing. Martin sounds spot on and amazing in every song and change happens to every band -- especially after the HUGE break they had between this and their last album. It's just the fact that everyone hates anything that is popular. So maybe they aren't quote, unquote 'special' to the very small population of people that listen to their type of music -- but people KNOW them now! I'm happy for them. What is the point of music if you're not known? His downfall was singing with Taylor Swift, because after that point everyone just loaded their guns of criticism to start firing. Honest, this album is amazing. I love every song on it. But if people will hate them for not being the 'old' BLG, then boo hoo. You're not a real fan.

Don't get me wrong, I love Boys Like Girls. In fact, I considered them one of my favorite bands at one point. I'm only rating them three stars because I used to like them. But I'll be completely honest; I don't like this new sound coming from BLG. The songs are...different. So different from their old album. Different in a way that there's multiple sounds in this album. You have your classic rock (Real Thing), to pop punk (Contagious), and maybe a bit gospel (Someone like you) and country (Two if better than one) in it too. I don't like that there's auto tune (Heart heart heartbreak) here and there, and that the lyrics sound a bit corny. I still can't believe this is the band that wrote "Thunder". I recommend their first album. It's raw and real; full of emotions, and the lyrics is just...wow. You could relate to the lyrics. Their first album is the reason why I fell in love with these guys.

I think that their first album was a little better, but Love Drunk has some great songs. Like "Two is Better than One" and "Love Drunk". I'll probalby purchase this.

This album was great in my opinion, but I'm slightly biased, seeing Boys Like Girls is my favorite band, so I'll try and make this un-biased. How often is a band's sophomore album better then the first? Not often. This album is alot different from the first one, but there was a 3-4 year gap between them. People forget that they grew up within those years. So when Love Drunk came out, they were expecting something a 18 year old would write, not a 23 year old. Martin said that the whole point of Love Drunk was to expand their musical boundaries, to see how far they could push the envelope while still being Boys Like Girls. They spent 3 years touring so they would know which fans would stick by them when they did different things. As far as the songs go, there is a great mix of slow songs and upbeat songs. I personally think that ‘Contagious’, 'Shot Heard 'Round The World' and 'Go' are a couple of the best songs off this album. So if you want something that sounds like they're old album, go listen to that. Because on this album, Boys Like Girls tried something new.

Boys Like Girls's 2nd album Love Drunk rocks! My fav songs from their 2nd album is Heart Heart Heartbreak, Love Drunk, She's Got a Boyfriend Now, Two is Better Than One (with Taylor Swift), Contagious, and Real Thing. Best album ever!

Every single song on this cd is great. At first you might not like it but after a while you will. I LOVE this cd sooo much! Trust me... this album is worth 9.99! (: You will not regret it after you buy it. :)

Boys Like Girls was my absolute favorite band, and I'm talking incredible <3. However, after this CD, my first thought was simply MARTIN, WHAT HAVE YOU DONE!! Not that the whole CD is bad, but it just doesn't nearly compare to the raw emotion from the first CD. I'm hoping they can do better next time.

For some reason, I feel the need to write a song by song review. Heart, Heart, Heartbreak: 8/10 The album starts with one of its 3 high points. Besides Love Drunk, I listened to the album in order, and I though Love Drunk might've just been a bump in the road, and the album would be good. Love Drunk: 2/10 Well, this was the bump in the road. I was still optimistic, but I knew this was bad. It's not even that catchy. She's Gotta Boyfriend Now: 3/10 Slightly better than Love Drunk because it's catchy, but my hopes did fall when I heard it. 2 is Better Than 1: 3.5/10 This song gives me a sense of comfort that I got from Hero and Thunder. It's not way to bad like Love Drunk was. Contagious: 1/10 This is the low point of the entire album. The sound effects they used make my ears hurt, and the lyrics are pointless. Real Thing: 9/10 The lyrics in the chorus remind me of Thunder; genius. The verses are completely pointless, and there are special effects, but the catchiness and the lyrics make up for it. Time to burn in the heat of the moment is the best line in the entire album. Someone Like You: 1.5/10 It sounded like they used a take when the singer had a cold. At least there aren't many special effects. The Shot Heard 'Round the World: 9.5/10 The 3rd high point of the album, the lyrics aren't genius, but they're better than most of the album, and it has meaning. And there are no special effects AT ALL! The First One: 2/10: To whoever wrote the song: how many songs do you need about being in high school? This is better than some of the album, but it's not really that good. Chemicals Collide: 2/10 Sounds exactly like everything else in the album. The only good line in the song is the one about stars and satellites. Go: 1.5/10 All I'm gonna say about this one is that it isn't smart to end the album giving the listener bad feelings. Final score: 43/110

After waiting that long for this album its a real dissappointment its to poppy the 1st album is way better sorry

My favorite album so far from Boys Like Girls. My favorite songs on this album are "Love Drunk" and "Two Is Better Than One" featuring the great Taylor Swift! "Love Drunk" is a great catchy song with great vocals, and "Two Is Better Than One" is a reassuring song with a true message about love. The reason I gave it four stars is that some of the songs are not original and sound like other songs. Otherwise, great album Boys Like Girls!

what is going on, all of these alternative boy bands like all time low, we the kings, mayday parade, and boys like girls are all going to this new pop electronic whiny trash. i can't stand it and the lyrics are awful. of course the little preteen girls still swoon, and the radio loves it, but what about their old fans? what about us, do not buy this alum if you actually like good music.

Unfortunately, I got this album after Top 40 Stations overplayed Love Drunk. I mean, it is a good song. I do see people points of it being way too 'pop.' I too was a fan of their first album. This one's just "ok" for me.

For anyone that thinks this album is POP, well, either your hearings bad, or you don't know music. If you want to know what a Pop band is, Listen to Jonas Brothers or even Big Time Rush.(Both bands i like as well) Afterwards, you'll find that Boys Like Girls sounds NOTHING like either of them. So what if they changed? Their last album was about high school love, but keep in mind, just like all of us, BANDS GROW UP TOO!!!! they are human just like us. If they wanted something that sounded EXACTLY like their first album, well, THEY WOULD OF JUST RESOLD THEIR FIRST ALBUM, BUT MAYBE CHANGED THE BOOKLET. Get over yourselves. Same with We the Kings and All Time Low. They sound just the same as before. None of them went pop. Guys, this isn't pop. It is alternative. it may not be their old stuff, but guess what? they grew up too. all that emo crap gets old, real quick. Plus, I'm also a HUGE country music fan, so hearing that this album features Taylor Swift made me all the more excited. She's AMAZING. And the harmonies she does with Martin, absolutely breathtaking. I would reccomend every single song on this album. WAY TO GO, BOYS LIKE GIRLS!!! You've stolen my heart yet again!!!!!!! :)

i admit, boys like girls is my fave band EVER and i loved this album but some of it is kinda pop. AND BOYS LIKE GIRLS IS NOT EMO!!!! they r just like.... well idk what they are but they r not emo. i love boys like girls and it annoys the heck out of me when ppl spell it "boyslikegirls" just cuz that's how its spelled on the album cover. Some of Album sounds okay... Only redeeming thing about "two is better than one" was the vocals, which were auto tuned, so overall, no.

I'm a BIG fan of Boys Like Girls but when THIS came out, i thought that I'd hate it. I like half of the songs but the fact that they went from their first CD (being "emo") to straight-out POP ticked me off a little. Taylor Swift? come on! shes like a little girl compared to them. thats like them singing with Miley Cyrus or Selena Gomez. ew. I dont have a problem with Taylor but she's soooo overplayed and overrated. There's better artists out there than Taylor Swift..Its obviously that 2 is Better Than 1 became SOOO POPULAR nonetheless because of....TAYLOR! cracked me up how SHE'S NOT EVEN IN THE VIDEO! :D<3 GOOD, because I've had enough of her. I'm a little disappointed with this album but im still fans of them. NOT taylor.
