:) I'm gonna marry him one day. Just sayin :)
I'm the type of person that listens to mostly hip hop and r&b music. I heard this album a few years ago and love it! Tim McGraw's songs really touch you in a way no other artist will ever do. He is one of my favorite singers and I love this album.
Southern Voice is the first Tim McGraw song I've purchased since "Everywhere". That's a long dry spell. I almost never like his song selection. Stop with the ballads already.
I LOVE his songs so much they just speak and can relate to your everyday life!!!! <3
hey i know this guy and his music is incredable. no doubt. luv u mr. McGraw!!
While this album is a little unconventional for Tim, It's very good! On my first listen through, I wasn't very impressed; nothing stood out to me. But after replaying the songs several times and giving them a chance to marinate, I have to say that there is something to discover in these melodies. "Still" is unquestionably a classic. This is the kind of song that you put on and let the music and lyrics take you away. My first impression of "Ghost Town Train" was Johnny Cash. This one sounds like an old "boom-chicka-boom" tune from the 50s. "Good Girls" was one of those that had to grow on me... Now it's one of my favorites. The melody might sound a bit bland, but give it a chance and it really is pretty catchy. Plus, the story, while simple, has an eeriness to it. It reminds me of "The River and Me" which is a masterpiece from the previous album. The next song, "I didn't know it at the time" has great lyrics and is something a country music listener would expect. It isn't my favorite melody or chorus, but I like it just fine. "It's a Business doing pleasure" is hilarious! Every guy will listen to this one and identify. This is great, masculine fun and it has a rocking beat. The following song "If I died Today" is one of the best on the album. This is one of those Tim Mcgraw songs that isn't supposed to be a single. It's a simple, short tune and accomplishes pondering death, yet somehow keeps from diving too deep and stays conversational. This is great song! "Mr. Whoever you are" is probably the prettiest and most singable songs on the album. It's sad and open ended. There's really no resolution and that is quite a relief in these days of country music feeling like it always has to put the cherry on top of the sunday. "Southern Voice", the biggest hit on the album is good. Not the best ever, but a good catchy song. "You had to be there" is a nice little story... It's decently cliche. This one really doesn't seem to grow on me. I liked it alright the first time and that's how I feel now. "I'm only Jesus" is probably the weakest song on the album. I could do without it. It's trite and doesn't seem to accomplish what it sets out to. "Grown Men Don't Cry" jumps out at me as a similar type song and is worlds better. "Forever Seventeen" is a really catchy song and a good listen. It is a little funny though why Tim is singing about Menopausal women... at least that's what my mind goes to. And the final track, "Love you Goodbye" is of the same mold melody-wise as "Don't take the girl". It's not amazing... but as a final track, I like it. Overall, Great album!
wow, thats all i can say about this. Tim needs to keep it up. I remember when don't take the girl came out. It just gets to me deep down.
..
Country can be so touching, fun, exciting, and sweet.I am also a fan of metal, but this beats it all! I'd pay $10 for this one song ! I give this song 12 stars out of 5!!!
This is a really really good album! I really like the songs on this ablum because they're smooth, easy listening songs that make you at ease. The song "If I Die Today" really gets you thinkin', don't it?
i love this album! it's fun yet heart renching at the same time. tim has one of the best voices out there. best songs: 1. Love you goodbye 2. Southern Voice 3. it's a business doing pleasure with you 4. still 5. mr.whoever you are
Best song on the country charts
this is my favorite tim mcgraw album. southern voice is also my all time favorite song!!!!!
Long time Tim fan, back to "Holiday In". But havent been the biggest fan lately. I just said screw it I buying it, Tim did say "I have a whole lot more to give and hopefully the best too", so I bought this cd and it has some heart touching songs that I wasn't ready for ( I didnt know it at the time, Love you goodbye) Its great, really glad this turned out to be one of my favorite buys in a long time. "tell me what room, was the holiday in? was i out of your mind, when you turned to him?" haha, old songs are cool.
He is unbelieveable. I cannot get enough!
Besides the record companies, who thinks this is country music? Seriously? If this is country music, then Pantera plays easy listening, since we just randomly place things in categories now.
This is a good album but he always has good albums. He is a very emotional person with his music and I love it. He is an amazing artist always has been. I can't wait to see him at the daytona 500 tomorrow. :D
These guys are the best! I really can't see people not liking their music! who can't love these guys music? they need to WAKE UP! KOL have great vocals and beats!
This album is average for Tim. He's had a lot of other albums with a lot more hit's on them. This album is solid but not a lot of great Tim McGraw hits. Southern Voice of course is another Tim McGraw song we will be singing for a longtime to come!
This song was on the Blind Side movie endcredits and I really think it is great!
I love the song "Southern Voice" but he forgot to mention one of the most popular and influential southern voices in history. Of course I am talking about the KIng of Rock n' Roll: Elvis Presley. I also like "Its a business doing pleasure with you"
I think he is awesome I really love if your reading this they played it at my dad's funeral and it was like his life in a song it was awesome but very sad
Soulful, sexy and oh so satisfying. From the anthems Southern Voice & Business Doing Pleasure with You to the mellow Still and soulful You Had To Be There, this album is probably his finest since Tim Mcgraw and the Dance Hall Doctors. It's a must have for any Tim fan!
GOOD song except for the crimson tide shirt part War eagle!
I thought it was good an I love how his music has a story behind it. Sometimes even if a country song has a story its told in metaphores and riddles and you may never konow what its sayong. But he acually says rite out in his songs whats hapening and doesnt leave you guessing. I like that!
I've got a southern voice!! Tim McGraw rocked this album I can't wait for his next I went to his southern voice concert or tour whatever u want to call It.... And lady a was there I luved both of them Especially Tim he was amazing!! I luv Tim McGraw !!!:)
me and my friend are super fans for any county superstar and this sure is a hit from me and my bffl's point of view and if you dont love it then its your opinion.
I love this album Tim is such an inspiration to me and he is really good looking! I love him and I hope he never stops singing he is my total favorite singer
Great songs that you can relate with, fun, and soulful. It's a good middle that's not sappy but yet you still feel like turning it and rolling down the windows. Well worth the purchase.
every single song on this album is amazingg! love you goodbye & you had to be there are so touching !! mr whoever you are is great along with good girls & im only jesus! <33
Since when is he jesus?!
He is amazing, fabulous, heartwarming, tearjerking, breathtaking, easily one of the best country music singers ever (next to George Straight of course - love ya George) Heck, he very well might be the greatgrandson of George Straight, not blood but talent wise.
Love almost all of the songs on here, but after awhile I found myself skipping several of them to get to my favs. Absolutely love It's a Business, Southern Voice, You Had to Be There, and I'm Only Jesus.
His voice is so overpowering and the tunes on this CD or really fun and cacthy
This was way above what i thought it would be. One of the best ones has to be You had to be there

My favorite songs on this album are: Good Girls,Im only Jesus, Southern Voice & If i died today
other than southern voice and it's a business doing pleasure with you. the album is pretty much the same. a bunc of ballads.
southern voice is the best song evur. naming the album from that song is a great idea cuz tons of people love it................... except i hate when i look up tim mcgraw i c taylor swift.
I love this album soooooo much! It is so great and I love every single song on it! Great job! :)

Tim McGraw is the devil!
This is nowhere near as good as the old stuff tim put out like bbq stain or any of those songs that made him famous. Its like hes getting depressed in his old age because this entire album depresses me. For one, there are too many slow songs, none about women, and theyre almost all sad.
I have listened to this CD non stop for over a week now, and I have decided that this CD is one of Tim's best. The opening song Still ropes you in from the beginning and the two early singles A Business Doing Pleasure With You and Southern Voice are great songs, but not the best on the CD. The best, musically well done songs, are Good Girls, You Had To Be There, If I Died Today, Mr. Whoever, I Didn't Know It At The Time, and Love You Goodbye...these set this CD from Tim's other works in the past. Kudos Tim!
Awesome music great voice big fan music thank you will always remember you plus friendship
Tim McGraw is and will always be the best country artist in history. This album is just another step in his legendary career which has seen 32 number 1's and over 40 million albums sold. Southern voice is a great album but I think his best work is "still" in front of him. Fans Brace yourself for Emotional Traffic because it will be released I have strong belief of that, the wait will soon be over trust me, keep an eye out for the release date. He'll be better than he used to be, and it will feel good on are ears.
i love tim mcgraw his voice is amazing
Tim McGraw was one of the reasons I became a country fan. I don't care what anyone says, this album is great! Mr. Whoever you are, I'm only Jesus, If I died Today, Southern Voice, and Still.... BEST songs on the album. Those first 2 are my ABSOLUTE FAVORITES.
Will you PLEASE put the mic down and go home? You've reached that awkward moment in your career when someone needs to cut the juice and point you to the door to save what's left of your dignity. I honestly think you stopped entertaining several attempts at an album ago. Do we need to send Faith out there to help you find the stairs? If you have to pull that hat down any further to cover the wrinkles, you're going to be covering your knees. RETIRE ALREADY!
Loved the entire album. Every song could be a hit as far as I am concerned.
